Moringa

I absolutely love this EdT. The Body Shop should come up with a EdP, or I’ll just have to get the large bottle and keep spraying myself with it. It’s such a beautiful, sweet and flowery scent, simply gorgeous. Like a field of flowers with honey drizzled on top. The perfume is not sweet, but the smell of the flower is. Naturally and so, so fragrant! Don’t be tricked by the “white flower” concept, it’s a sweet and warm scent, almost hot, very sexy and I would even dare say it’s like a gourmand of the florals. In the final drydown, as well as as a more hidden note throughout its lifespan it also has a slightly soapy note, barely distinctive, that mixes beautifully with the way the perfume smells. Absolutely beautiful. I sniffed this and the English Gardenia, there was no question despite the Gardenia being beautiful as well. This is on another level, and not a common scent, I might add. I also got the 750 ml shower gel bottle, which was on sale for €10, and the body milk, to extend the duration of the perfume. Will get back to get the larger EdT bottle as this will stay a staple for me, for as long as they produce it. PS: I agree with the review below, it does smell yellow. I first felt this on a work colleague, she applied the hand cream and I was absolutely enchanted. My first thought was that it might be an Elie Saab hand cream, nope, it was this one. Love at first sniff.

I got a bottle of this from TBS just a couple of weeks ago. I was initially thinking of getting the Pink Grapefruit EDT (too fruity and bright) and/or the Vanilla EDT (smells too similar to the discontinued white lid vanilla perfume oil which I've already got). I sampled this on a whim, and was pleasantly surprised! I've never smelled a perfume like this before, so (to me) it was definitely unique, and as much as it's embarrassing to admit, magical. It reminded me of drinking fruit juice in the summer and dreaming about being a fairy as a child- just something nostalgic and fun at the same time. I've never smelled the 'linden' flower or plant that many reviewers have mentioned here, but to my nose, TBS Moringa smells a little like grape soda (albeit NOT synthetic or syruppy). Longevity is pretty weak (lasts only up to 3 hours on me) and sillage is soft to moderate depending on various factors (body, environment, temperature). I do wish they'd release this fragrance in perfume oil format, because I'd buy it in a heartbeat! Update: I love this perfume, but it has the shortest lasting power ever! On average, it has lasted about 1-2 hours maximum on me and EDTs usually last about 8 hours on me! For this reason, I will not rebuy this unless they release it as a perfume oil!

I bought the body butter when the line first came out and it was my signature "scent" in high school. I saw the body butter in a store last year and I thought I would buy it again, since I remember the scent being so nice, but I was so disappointed to find that the body butter didn't smell anything at all anymore (at least to my nose)! I decided, in 'desperation', to try the perfume and the body mist the next time I visited the store - and they smell just as lovely as the body butter used to!! Now I have both the perfume and the body mist, I usually use the mist and save up on the perfume since it's very powerful for a body mist (just like the body butter used to be powerful for a body butter). I use it a lot now during the spring since it's an awesome spring fragrance! I have no idea which notes are in it (since I'm terrible at picking out scents) but to me it smells wonderful and flowery and warm. I guess maybe you should stay away from it if you don't like strong-smelling perfumes since it has a pretty good sillage and longevity (I remember that some of my friends didn't dare trying out the body butter for this reason). But the sillage is also one of the reasons why I love this scent so much so don't let it discourage you! :)

This is the scent of my tween years as it is for many British girls😂 (along with the strawberry and pink grapefruit one) and I bought the mini EDT last year for a whimsical throwback. It’s still so good, even though I’m not sure I’d be that drawn to it now if I didn’t have the memories associated with it. If you don’t like white florals this won’t be like (unless you have the scent memories like me) but it DEFINITELY smells like money. It smells so expensive and classy and fresh, like a rich Range Rover driving mum who goes to yoga in the middle of the day. She’s wearing this as she picks up her kids from school wearing a business suit and you just gets wafts of this expensive smell that makes you go wow. I would recommend this to most people, for the nostalgia if anything... but also because it’s a really refreshing scent that energises you and makes you feel more awake and alive, that smells great. Also the EDT performance is average of an EDT. Better than the mist though.

I'm thinking about buying this once again, and maybe one or two others that I used to use just after I left high school. There's just something so alluring about it that makes it hard to resist. I remember when I first purchased it, I was going through a crappy time, and this just brightened everything up (along with Amazonian Wild Lily, Indian Night Jasmine, Japanese Cherry Blossom and Madagascan Vanilla Flower). I'll admit that I don't find them to be of the highest quality, but boy do they ever satisfy a craving for a simple, pretty fragrance to spritz on when at home or when going exploring out in (specific to my experience) rural Victoria (Australia. They wear amazingly in Victorian Summer). Doesn't last long, but you don't need to spray much for each application as it does project well while it lasts.

Okay, so I purchased it and boy oh boy does it smell as amazing as I remember it. I got the body lotion with it and it makes the scent last a lot longer than it does without (duh, but sometimes it doesn't make much of a difference). On top of this improved longevity, it truly does still remind me of travelling Victoria. It's bright, sunny ... and smells a lot better in quality than I remember. The comparisons to Gardenia EdT (not the EdP) and Michael Kors are very apt. The scent is a white floral combination of (in order) gardenia, tuberose, jasmine, mimosa blossom and this strange nutty scent I can't quite place... it's like pistachio. I don't think that's a common experience, though. Someone below mentioned honeysuckle, and that's noticeable too

I love this! I love the notes of...is it tuberose? Honeysuckle? Jasmine? Gardenia? I'm not as amazing a nose as many connoisseurs obviously are here; I sometimes have trouble separating the scents and often experience a perfume as the sum of its parts, but I do know that I love honeysuckle and think I detect it here. Am I imagining things, or is there a slight similarity to Michael Kors? The Body Shop really need to work on their fragrance bottles, though. I know they are cheap as chips, but I feel they could do soo much better, as part of the magic of the domain of perfume is absolutely the bottle!!!!

Ah moringa.... My sister has an older formulation in the yellow bottle and I have their vegan formulation in the clear bottle. The older formula is a beautiful creamy white floral scent that fades gracefully in a few hours. The newer formula is still a beautiful white floral scent, but less rich and more sharp? I guess? It also doesn't last very long compared to the older one. Even though I have my own I still sneak spritzes of my sister's version when I can. If you grew up around jasmine and other white florals like me, I think you would really like this.

This is a simple moringa flower scent. I've never smelt a moringa flower so I can only compare this to a very similar smelling flower. This smells like a less neurotic jasmine. Sweet nectarous and water-y smelling which dries down very quickly to a comforting light creamy jasmine-like scent. If you don't like white florals then this is not for you. If you like white florals, then this is a very nice safe addition. Smells like an expensive hotel bath air spray, and I mean that in the best way possible.

Agree with most of the reviews. It's a clean shower warm/creamy floral scent. No additional top notes/middle notes, just one consistent smell throughout so there's no unexpected surprises arising from chemistry mix with your skin odor. Handy type to carry around in your purse to spritz in the middle of the day. Most of the time, it won't clash with whatever perfume you had sprayed on earlier in the morning too. The body mist has low staying power, but the EDT is more powerful.

I have the Moringa Body Mist, and I really like it. It is slightly alcoholic for the first few seconds, but it then evolves into a creamy, fresh and natural white flower scent. After a while it mellows out and becomes honey sweet with a touch of musk. The price is also very reasonable. Throughout the day the scent does wax and wane. For a while the sent may seem to have gone, but wait a little while and it comes right back. Lasts 8 hours for me.

I found a great price on a gift set of this at Marshalls---light, fresh, sugar-y green floral---loved the shower gel and body cream. I got into an online argument with my nephew about this scent--his wife is from the Philippines and uses a Moringa plant in cooking---but he says it smells funky and isn't a flower---so what the hell IS Moringa? Is it the flowering part of a sugar kane plant? Or what? The breakdown here is very un-helpful!

This perfume has a very strong Acacia note. It's not listed here but it is listed in the notes for the body mist. The body mist smells the same to me as this, just lighter, so I am assuming the note profiles are actually the same. I love the honey floral smell of Acacia blossoms, and this smells just like that to me. So clean, fresh and pretty and perfect for this time of year.

This is by far my favorite product from TBS. Moringa smells amazing and its like my signature scent. It's calming and not too sweet in my opinion. But, Unfortunately, it doesn't performing well on me. By that I mean the smell doesn't last long at all, its very weak. That's the only thing that i don't like about this perfume. But still, moringa is my favorite of all.

I'm hooked to Jennifer Aniston-perfume. Although it doesn't last an hour or two longer, i am soooo happy to discover this lovely scent that is so similar to my favorite. Name or ingredients aren't similar at all but the scent is so the same, for me. And to double my joy, i found body spray also, with multiple other body cleansers ect. Yeiiii! Horray The body Shop!

Very beautiful floral scent . reminds me a lot like one of my favs BBW Velvet Tuberose. This is a very sweet floral scent . draws lots of compliments. Smells like creamy tuberose, gardenia, jasmine and honey all rolled into one. This is a very clean floral scent. Moringa lasts on the skin and doesn't fade like other cheaper perfumes. Don't pass this one up.

One of my all time favourites. It has been 7 years since I have started using this perfume and body spray (with pauses), liked them both immediately. Body spray has good longevity (as for body spray), and is a bit “fresher” than EDT. Sweet, fresh, fun white flowers. Simple beautiful. A must have for me. (P.s. my bf always thought it’s citrus perfume).

I love this so much! Already gone through a bottle of it. I enjoy the almost sourish floral smell but it is very natural. Very sensual and quite long lasting for a body shop EDT. Be careful how much you spray though because it is strong and unpleasant if overdone. Highly recommended for spring and summer time!

It smells like a bouquet of flowers that has been in a vase for 3 days. You can smell blooming flowers, but also not so fresh water. I guess this is what people call indolic? I have never smelled a real moringa flower, but I can definitely detect something similar to tuberose in this one.

Love this . I have both. The scent is lovely creamy white floral. Similar to tuberose to me. And I have the body yogurt and body butter . It smells exactly like them. Gotten compliments on this. Really enjoy this. Similar to sand and sable.

Tried the body butter, loved it! Edit: Sadly, everything Moringa from TBS is just way, way too strong for me. I couldn't wear even the body butter sample for very long. It's a beautiful smell, but dang! Could they dial it down a bit?

I love Moringa! It is a great, lovely scent for all seasons!sweet,fresh,tender,original...I have the eau de toilette: when I spray it, I am in a clean, sweet cloud of white flowers! on my skin it lasts many hours!love love love!: )

Simply adorable, clean and flowery, easy to wear, my go to between more complex perfumes. I have Moringa hand cream also, it's quite nice and the scent lingers for a long time, and it's a good base for many perfumes I have.

Most of my friends love this, and me too. My mom also love it. She said that it's like fresh floral tea. Very refreshing. Suitable for day time. But u can use it anytime..

So far - adorable! sprinkled on my wrist 4 hours ago and still can smell it. On me this perfume is sweet/honey/fresh flowers. Just what i need on a sunny summer day.

Can anyone recommend me a good dupe of this? My region does not really have the body shop nearby but I am in love and obsessed with this scent.

Nice, refreshing scent. Dry down is almost exactly like jasmine. Slight notes of honey. Overall a nice, sweet, floral scent.

To me it smells exactly like linden, which is exactly what i was looking for, for such a long time. Absolutely love it!

It smells amazing, lasts long but extremely low sillage. Wish they would make an EDP of Moringa.

I absolutely love The Body Shop's fragrances, and this is one of my favorites. I have the body mist, not the EDT. The bottles for the body mists are really classy and simple, but very pretty as well. The bottle is really indicative of the fragrance and is much classier packaging than usual body mists. The scent of Moringa is very beautiful and floral without being a sneeze inducer. It's green and indicative of all things feminine. I could imagine a young girl wearing this as well as a mature lady. It smells like a tea party in England. I also personally believe it smells like Madonna's Truth or Dare. I've never smelled a moringa plant, but based on this, I'm sure it smells lovely. That's the best word to describe this fragrance: lovely. And since this is a body mist, you can spray it all over your body and it won't be overpowering or offend anyone, not that I think this fragrance could ever offend anyone. I really love this perfume and I recommend it to anyone who likes that feminine, fresh, youthful scent. 10/10. xx

I fell in love with this fragrance the moment I tested it last year. It’s available in body butter format, so I got that for Christmas. Moringa refers to a genus of tropical plants; the Philippine type is called malunggay. I have smelled the living flowers, which are surprisingly sweet (albeit light), such glamour for such a humble plant. I don’t know which species the Body Shop’s essences were extracted from, but man, this scent is STRONG. It is lush, creamy and sensual, of the same intensity as tuberose but of different character. No wood, no astringency, no green. One application of the body butter will defeat any other “nice” scent you may happen to be wearing. I have found it is best on its own, as it won’t make friends with rose, iris, incense, cedar or tea. Would probably get along well with orange blossom, tuberose or gardenia, but I haven’t dared. That would be the equivalent of a lunch table of glammed-up fashion editors in the first, garrulous stages of intoxication.

Jasmine ? Ylang-ylang ? Gardenia ? Moringa smells like a bit of all three, but not quite, although the gardenia seems more prominent. It's definitely not a potent gardenia like the one that was used in vintage fragrances. It's very light (but not a skin scent at all) and has a fresh, kind of soapy, almost herbal scent. Today on a (too early) Spring day, it smells so beautiful and refreshing, and I can only imagine how many compliments I might receive wearing this beauty in Summer. Like all other Body Shop fragrances, the eau de toilette turns sour on me, but the body butter doesn't have that problem. It smells amazing and is as potent and long-lasting as real perfume, to the point where it's a good replacement. The texture is really good on my dry skin and contrary to many body creams I don't have any allergic reaction to it. I won't buy the eau de toilette but I'll certainly buy the body butter ! One of the prettiest Body Shop fragrances, in my opinion.

I first picked up Moringa based on nataleepatel's reviews on YouTube, she described it as a different white floral, and I completely agree. It still surprises me all these years later. I've been enjoying wearing this one around the house for the past spring, it's inoffensive and not strong, but I can smell it around me for the first hour or so, and I've worn it often enough that it is recognizable for my husband. It is unusual, there is a citrus fresh element to it and a rubbery white floral that really feels like you're smelling the petals and buds. I am not familiar with moringa flower in real life, so the closest thing I could describe this as is a cross between honeysuckle, magnolia, and a tuberose in the day time, not at night. Take the fleshy rubberiness of tuberose, the lemony citric edge of magnolia, and the fresh honey-twist of honeysuckle, and you might be able to imagine what this smells like. I like it, it's different :)

MORINGA by The Body Shop Absolutely gorgeous! I have never smelled a real moringa flower, but this blend smells like clean combination of Lily of the Valley, Stephanotis, Jasmine Sambac (non-indolic), and Champaca. That what I derive on my skin as far as being able to accurately describe the floral scent itself. No sour or fecal taint at all here. Just a pure white floral sweetened naturally with what is within the plant. I don't detect any added sugary sweetness here. This plant has just a touch of smooth earthy richness like champaca that nullifies any soapy development here. I detect no screeching chemical detergent or fabric softener like odors either. The basenotes have the slightest touch of a clean, white musk to anchor the flowers, but that is the only animalic I can (barely) detect. A lovely, discreet, elegantly-sensuous white floral skin scent is how I would describe this one. I love it! I am getting the body butter too!

I've never smelled actual mornings but I'm told it smells like Jasmine. This reminded me a lot of Gucci bloom (both are white flower bouquets with little distraction) In fact I'm wearing both right now! It makes me feel better about not being able to shell out the Jc ash for that gorgeous opaque baby pink bottle. I adore it. It smells like it could be perceived as tropical without falling into coconut cliches (that said pairing this with coconut would be great) or using wood/citruses to make me think of the beach, this would also pair really well with tiare flowers (gardenias soaked in sandalwood and coconut oil). It's bright, it's sunny, it's not serious but not juvenile. I'd say it's confident, not in a brash powerhouse sense but it's not afraid of offending anyone and doesn't think it will either. The body milk lasts longer.

I think of quiet, soft sunlight falling across a giant bed adorned with a plush white comforter when I smell the Body Shop’s Moringa. This fragrance makes me want to sigh and all my worries slip away when I smell it. The fragrance has a brightness, but not at all in a zesty citrusy way. It smells like how I imagine a mellow pastel yellow would smell if colours had scents haha. I have never smelled real morigina trees before. To me, this fragrance smells like warm, fresh laundry straight out of the dryer and creamy white florals (such as gardenia) with touches of vanilla and musk notes added in. Fuzzy and dreamy sunshine - kind of like how I remember sunny carefree days from my childhood memories. You can’t beat the price tag.

The few floral fragrances that I tried from The Body Shop tend to feel soapy to me, but Moringa is a wonderful surprise. On me, it's a fluffy melange of white florals, of which the orange blossom seems the most recognizable. Warm and a bit tropical, but without the milk-coconut nuance. Sugar cane complements the natural sweetness of white floals, very satisfying, without becoming cloying or saccharine. Simple, yet very nice and utterly enjoyable. The longevity of the body mist is around 6 hours and the sillage is moderate to soft. A slightly gourmand white floral that blooms beautifully in warm weather, and the cherry on the cake, it's relatively affordable as well.

I only have a small decant of the body mist that my friend gave me, and it is enough for me. I am not a fan of white florals in general, and this one is a simple and straightforward white floral without any other notes that would make it more to my liking. It's not bad at all, just not my cup of tea. It does smell like the moringa trees on our street that I could smell when I hang out in our front yard. I enjoy it in the air that way, but don't really wish to wear it. On performance, Moringa smells strong from the nozzle and upon application, stronger than expected from a body mist. However, the scent softens quickly and doesn't really last that long.

This is such a gorgeous scent! I have the shower gel, body milk, and body mist. I don't know what moringa blossoms smell like but to me this is a creamy, almost tropical-white floral. Not gardenia, not jasmine. A blend maybe? I drink linden tea and I get that association. Sometimes it smells grapey to me when I wear this, lots of times white florals do. This lasts a surprisingly long time on me. Sometimes I use it before bed and it is still present in the morning. Sometimes I like to layer a spritz of this with Esprit D'Oscar. Smells amazing!

If summer had a smell... it would be this one. After so many years, it is such a pleasure to rediscover this scent. To my nose, a beautiful yellow juice, summertime flowers, happy sunshine, dazzled bees, delicate wind, warm petals, lazy holiday daydream becoming soon a sweet night whisper. No use to be complicated when life can be so simple :-) Edit : with time, I realized that a get acacia and privet (ligustrum) flowers, more than any linden blossom. I have both in my garden, and recognize the heavenly smell.

This is one of the best among TBS's current line of EDTs. Imagine burying your nose in a basket overfilled with fresh petals of various white floral species...and then imagine that all those petals are somehow very lightly coated in candy (maybe grape candy?). Creamy, lush, fresh, sweet. Nice sillage but short longevity. I love the body butter. PS. Very good sillage! My sister could smell me from across the room and commented that I smelled nice. And longevity is not that bad (~4-5 hours)

I agree with "brumbarche",is a linden flower smell,more sour than the actual flower but the most closed to it. The body butter is amazing as a hand creme too,try also the shower gel,is gorgeous and the EDT is the closest to linden flower I found so far. For the price,is worth it to give a try if you search for linden blossom out there! (fingers crossed The Body Shop not discontinue this and WHY not to bring us a remarkable perfume oil or home oil too?Just thinking out loud......)

I would love this if it lasted longer and with a stronger sillage (but I guess that's to be expected with The Body Shop). As someone who's never smelled real moringas before, this is a LOT like honeysuckle. I'm actually surprised more people haven't mentioned the similarities. This is a bright, creamy floral that isn't powdery or soapy. I own the body mist and lotion, but am considering purchasing the actual EDT.

Moringa is so lovely and unique. I find it extremely feminine. It is simple and sophisticated at the same time. I get sun-warmed yellow & white flowers with some tea & honey and maybe even a little sweet wine. Definitely for warm weather. Good lasting power, medium sillage, and is a strong fragrance, but not heavy or obvious. The body butter is fabulous and stays just as scented as the EDT.

This is what I would call a nice happy scent. Nothing sophisticated or too complex here but it smells nice and intensely floral. I cannot recall the real flower smell. The TBS perfume version smells quite sweet, so probably not a true rendition of the natural, but I like it for casual wear and the body cream/butter is also very intense. Strong in the beginning but quite graceful.

I just went to a TBS store earlier. I've smelled all perfumes/colognes available and this one caught my attention! I was supposed to buy the Satsuma one lol. This reminded me of a night flower (non-indole) jasmine kind of scent. Clean floral, crisp and a bit sweet. It's a good blind buy IMO and pretty inexpensive for the scent

I've never smelled a Moringa flower, but this perfume is gorgeous. It's a white floral that is uncomplicated, juicy, and lush. The longevity and sillage is not very strong, but it smells so high quality. At this price, it's fine to spray away to refresh yourself. It reminds me of sweet elderflower syrup. Simply delicious!

So so... I'm not a fan of this EdT. It smells like sugary flower and little acrid and very simple. It's longlasting on my skin but not for good. Too much of a simple perfume and too acidic. All in all your typical floral or floral fruity of these days but more powerful and vaguely exotic. The body butter smells better.

This is a really simple but unique fragrance. It is a fresh, white floral but it has a warm creaminess that separates it from other floral perfumes. I've been trying lots of other perfumes and while there are other, more complex ones, for a simple perfume that has a beautiful creamy Jasmine scent, this is perfect.
