Polynesian Island Tiare

In my country, frangipani is a flower that is usually planted in cemeteries, and ylang ylang is a type of flower that is sprinkled on graves besides roses and jasmine, so for some people these two flowers give the impression of 'death'. However, when frangipani and ylang ylang are mixed into fragrances by The Body Shop with a few additional ingredients, the result is fantastic. The first spray was unpleasant for me, as it smelled bitter and pungent, but after I let it sit for a few minutes, it changed. The flowers and citrus blend seamlessly into a fresh and exotic tropical fragrance. Elements of coconut and vanilla make the fragrance slightly sweet but very subtle and not at all bothersome. Its freshness makes this fragrance fit to be used in the morning. Even so, the luxurious impression makes it quite suitable for casual evening use.

My love for summer ❤️ Tropical, floral, coconut but not overly sweet or sunscreenish at all. It's literally summer bottled. I initially received this in error as I'd ordered a different Body Shop perfume but I instantly fell in love so I kept it and took a partial refund. When the Body Shop collapsed a few months ago the search for a back up bottle began. I don't ever want to be without this beauty in summer. On me it lasts 24hrs, only leaving me down the shower drain, longer on clothes. It projects incredibly well also, at least 2 metres. If you see a bottle for sale, grab it. You won't regret it.

I have the body mist version as a gift from my mom. I spritzed it twice on my neck, twice on around my shoulder and once on my clothes in the morning, went out of town 5 hours drive away, did not have any chance to reapply it at all. On my way back home around 5, to my surprise, I still could smell a hint of the tiare flower. I am happy with this performance.

Oh I LOVE this! I had the expectation that this would smell like monoï oil; with the name "Polynesia" written on sunshine-yellow background, and with the coconut note sporting first place by the voters. But no! No sight of sweet gardenia/coconut notes here. (Yes, there is coconut, but not like "Hawaiian Tropic" Coconut) This is a really heady white floral, almost a jasmine, but with a tropical twist. This is what Muglers "Alien" would smell like if it mated with a sunscreen lotion (Ambre Solarie from Garnier more specifically). Yes. Exactly like that. No romantic flowing summerdresses here, this is burning sun, naked skin, salt and sunscreen.

I got this in the Xmas sale so for my money there is a lot of it and for me a little goes a long way, due to a certain oily texture to it that seems to make it last a lomg time. It is is clean smell, coconut and citrus elements stand out for me. I wanted to really love it but as it smells similar to my hair products, but less sweet and more oily, I just couldn't quite get there. For the money I can't complain it was half price.

Review for body cream : It smells more creamy floral and coconuty, while the edt more prominent in citrus. The fragrance isn't as strong as BBW lotion, but leaving a soft skin scent for quite sometimes. As for the butter consistency, it's very light unlike TBS body butter. Not leaving sticky feeling as well. I live in the tropic, but i still can wear it comfortably.

I have the EDT and the fragrance mist. Longevity is average. With the initial spray, I get coconut. Dry down, it's more citrus, powdery, and patchouli, with my body chemistry at least. I IMMEDIATELY think of Karma by Lush, if any one is familiar with that. This is definitely a summer-appropriate scent.

Coconut and tiare flower make a great composition. Very nice, tropically sweet perfume, that makes me think of the summer, beach and freedom. I would like this to be a bit stronger, then it would be just perfect. My favorite from this line of perfumes.

Coconutty, fresh, sweet & watery. Like being around a lake or a running stream in the forest. Sillage is not great but it sits on my skin for 2-3 hours. Great choice for the summer.

Exotic and nice, tiare flower and ylang-ylang scent. Unpretentious and office safe due to soft stillage. Not only for summer.

I don't know why, but it smells kind of eggy on me, almost to the point being unpleasant.

Tiare floral fragrance with citrus at the beginning and a coconut base with a touch of vanilla at the end. Lots of fresh flowers. Not overly sweet and rich like Monoi fragrances usually are, which is good for me. And no egg, like some of the reviewers, but I live in the north and don't know what it smells like in a hotter climate. Good for summer, as my son said it smells a bit like sunscreen. On my own skin, however, the scent is somehow cold and harsh, it should somehow be a little softer and warmer (I don't like overly sweet scents). So that's ok, but no more. Sillage / duration moderate. I have the eau de toilette version.

Just very good strong tiare flowers. Unfortunately it turns out I don't find those all the interesting, so I resold it. If you want a good value beach fragrance with lots of natural smelling tiare, it's definitely worth a try

Honestly, I've been really impressed with the quality of the body shop perfumes I've tried. They are cheaper dupes (this one is very similar to Montale Intense Tiare, or EL Bronze Goddess) but for the price they are surprisingly good quality. The citrus is a bit sharp and bleachy at first, and the flowers are a bit synthetic but after a few mins that is all gone and a decent little fragrance remains conjuring warm tropical beaches, coconut cocktails and heady exotic flowers. Can't say you don't get your money's worth.

I wore it several times trying to spot the tiare or the coconut note. Unfortunately on me it's just a citrus fragrance. It lasts for a while, but it doesn't project to any floral or warmer note. It is slightly reminiscent of Lancome's O de l'orangerie but without the floral note. I tried to layer it on TBS Coconut body butter and on ylang ylang essential oil, but the prominent citrus notes of this fragrance won't let any warm or sweet note come out. I am very disappointed...

Strong dislike from me. Smells like cheap, yellow rubber, and feels screechy and cheap...so sad, I had such high hopes for this TBS launch!

been trying to find dupes for this perfume, kate spade live colorfully smells exactly like this one. i have a friend who really loved this perfume on me back then. soon she became my roommate and she went to her first date wearing it (she requested haha) and occasionally would ask for this perfume, im happy to offer bcs it makes her happy ;) and one day i ran out of this perfume (i have body mist and edt) and couldn’t find it anywhere as it has been discontinued. long story short, after doing lots of online research and trying other perfumes with the similar notes/accords, i found kate spade live colorfully to have the same exact vibe and scent as this one but i found out i am no longer into this scent. it’s still pretty but i guess im just not feeling it, im keeping it bcs it brings me memories during my foundation studies. my current signature perfume is d&g dolce garden. few months after that, that one friend of mine texted me, asked about what was the perfume that i used to wear that she used to borrow bcs she wants to buy it and was frustrated when i said it has been discontinued because she said it was THE BEST perfume she ever smelled. talked to her to maybe try the dupe and i bought a decant of kate spade live colorfully for her bcs she was doubtful, and it turns out great. it becomes her signature perfume now. :)

This is a gorgeous tiare white floral tropical perfume. I love these kind of perfumes. It has some of the same notes as Tahiti Island Dream by Bath & Body Works namely the tiare/white florals and the vanilla and coconut. This is more full bodied and throws out a better projection of the aroma. I was hoping to find something exactly like this. The opening is a fresh sweet summer citrus with bergamot orange notes. The white florals emerge from the freshness and turn into one of the most heady perfumy tiare flowers I've ever experienced. I like Tahitian gardenia scents. This is strictly a tiare with equal amounts of frangipani. The dry down is vanilla, rich, creamy, and sweet. There's a milky coconut that also seals the deal. Perfect to wear to the beach or on vacation or on a cruise ship.

Tessiebee what you mean by dupes? I don't think Body Shop copied, as some fragrance that have recognizable bottle and name. Those are what I'll call dupes. Otherwise Vanilla/tiare it's a very common combination and it'll be very difficult to find out who came out with it. I'm just very curious and like sharing opinions. That's why I'd like to know yours. And maybe, I wouldn't want people missing out on The body Shop who makes very good fragrances, long lasting and a reasonably priced. While there are BIG HOUSES that makes not very original/particular fragrances and they charge us for their good name and famous adv. I RECENTLY DISCOVERED THAT LONG LASTING"DOESN'T AUTHOMATICALLY MEAN BETTER QUALITY (EG.MORE ESSENTIAL OIL OR Naturals)

Review for the body mist. Fresh tiaré, like a light, exotic island breeze. A simple, floral-citrus with mild sandalwood. To the cooler side, it doesn't have the rich sweetness of monoï. An inoffensive, pretty, daytime summer scent. Fortunately the body mist has nothing "eggy" in it, just floral freshness. If you got "egged" by the eau de toilette, hopefully you can find the body mist instead. Moderate sillage/longevity on me.

Im loving this and this is not my type of scent in general. It reminds me if indian jasmine but theres even more of a punch to me. Its very strong and im bothered as it reminds me of another perfume!! Perhaps its an Alien vibe that im getting and im pretty sure thats what it is... Just read your review (below, Emma) after writing mine so that im not biased with others and youre right about the Alien mixed with sun lotion!

Tried it on my way out, simple but nice. ,easy to wear, fresh. It would make a great gift for someone who likes perfumes that aren't too perfumey!! My friend who was with me bought it on the spot, she dislikes anything floral, and it smells very pretty, with a bit of a tropical edge..for the price, you won't go wrong with it!! I will but it for my stepmother who likes citrusy light perfumes!! Nice!!

I'm so surprised by the quality of this perfume! It really lasts - I sprayed some yesterday and can still smell it on my clothes and in the room where I sprayed it. I was going to buy some more but can't find it on the Body shop website - I really hope that it hasn't been discontinued. This is a fresh, floral, sweet perfume. Perfect for summer but I'm enjoying wearing it right now in the winter.

I love this scent. It's sweet but not overwhelming, floral and exotic with coconut and vanilla notes. It reminds me of the tropical island vacation, blooming fragrant flowers and the sound of the waves in the distance. That is exactly what I need when it is snowing in Boston on an April day. Surprisingly, it has a good lasting power.

Tested this on my perfume excursion to Body Shop. I do not like coconut in perfumes and sun tan lotions, at all. This little scent with the beautiful, exotic (for a Finn) tiare flower makes an exception: I don't mind the coconut, since it is well blended with these beautiful flowers. This is very tropical, beautiful and refreshing.

Bought this from T.J. RossMarshalls . I love tiare - it's so heady..............Not here though. This is weak and too much citrus. Returned it. This is after a few nice Body Shop purchases like Mango and Peach. Still the Body Shop is MILES above Bath & Body Works!

I wentto the mall last night scritcly because I had to pay a bill....but because I am the way I am I ended up perfume and makeup shopping lol I had really wanted to smell the Fragrancs from this voyage line and this was really pretty. Excellent price too. Love it

Polynesia in a bottle! Oh heaven heaven! It's a flowery, creamy, coconaty perfume, which I find perfect for the beach. I imagine wearing this while sitting in the sun and enjoying the Greek summer. Beautiful, I just wish it would last longer!

This review is for the shower gel. I found it at Marshalls for $3. It is fresh and uplifting but I feel I might tire of it quickly. I get no coconut or vanilla. I smell tropical floral, lots of honey, a bit of citrus and a touch of plastic.

so fresh, this is like the smell of after taking a bath on fresh water because you just came from salt water or beach. The dry down has some egg like smell but unique for me. Longevity is decent 2-3 hours. Too bad its discontinued :(

This smells good, but cheap and kinda cold. Not refreshing, just cold. And coldness isn‘t something i like in perfumes. I am a bit disappointed. If you like La Femme Prada, you may like this one. I think they are quite similar.

Wearing this you do feel like going to a beautiful island surrounded by flowers at sunset (aahhh...). Is soft and addictive. I think is longer lasting than the other scents from this line. About two hours for me.

This sounds very good and perfect for a hot summer. I hope longevity is decent cause I find most BS perfumes don't last too long nowadays. Love tiarè and frangipani so def gonna try this

CITRUS....with added tiare/very light coconut/floral... Typical...typical...nothing special, but not a bad scent. Has a drydown of shampoo/shower gel type scents..IMO. Pass......

Sanza, I hear you. They don't have at my local TBS, either. In fact, I couldn't even find it in their website. 'Wait' is the most offensive 4-letter word in the English language.

Smells like sun cream crossed with a hot beach. It also lasts a good while plus someone complimented me saying it smelled like fabric softener for the price it’s a 9 out of 10

So I finally got a bottle of this on eBay for a good price. I love, love, love it. BUT ... it's gone in seconds. Literally. Even for EDT it is very short-lived. Oh, well.

The best fragrance I have ever smelled. It's longlasting, exotic, fresh, sweet and bitter at the same time. Never get bored of it.

The year is just about over and it's still not out at my local Body Shop. Maybe they don't want sales of this in the U.S.?!! lol

@DG, dupe is the fragrantican (or laymen) term for duplicate
