Shea

This is wonderful, so far my favorites from TBS's new range of EDT's is Shea and Moringa, the rest are abit 'meh' for me. Shea is nutty and creamy with a clean, woody undertone...fresh yet warm...a simple pleasure that's linear, light and comforting. It is semi-sweet and perfectly unisex, and was a favorite of a recent ex (on himself). I will still buy it and wear it for myself, I'm not the sort who ties fragrances to people. But having smelled it on him alot, I can say that it leaves very subtle trails of yummy clean, warm nuttiness for about 2 hours...it has a sheer, dreamy kind of sillage that could make you feel you're imagining it, and then assume that the wearer just smells naturally good. For that reason, I highly recommend it to those working in health and medical fields, men or women, it's inoffensive, mild and natural. I already have the shea body butter and I can't wait to get this so I can layer over it. Suitable all year round and mild enough for hot days too.

I've tried this twice now and both times have been surprised with how much I like it! Coming in a small one ounce bottle, simply called Shea, I nearly look past it the first time. I tried it in an airport and almost went back into the shop to buy it... I kept sniffing my hand. Soft, nutty, cozy. Even though it's a really affordable price I ended up getting the beautifying oil and shower cream instead. The oil I found to be wonderful, eminating the exactly same soft sent, but was disappointed at first sniff of the shower cream because it really didn't smell the same. Haven't tried that yet but look forward to doing that. Someday soon I'd love to pick up the EDT, which sits close to the skin and doesn't have the most pungent projection, but for 14 bucks, what can you expect? Try it and be wooed. EDIT: Call me crazy but the shower cream and oil simply do not smell the same as the EDT. They are much nuttier to me. Not as soft. Makes me sad I didn't choose the spray. :(

For a year now I've been craving a vanilla scent worthy at all for any price. Yesterday I tried this and thought, where have you been since Bath and Body Works Riceflower and Shea was discontinued? This soft aroma works for days and nights at work and home, and then layered over or under something stronger like a dab of my Samsara EDT from a vintage mini bottle, or even to soften my Todd Oldham when I go out on the town. So now, I want to buy the whole Shea line. Good job again, The Body Shop. So many of your scents are so simple yet endlessly pleasing. Edit: I'm not sure if anyone else has picked up on its slight similarity to Dior Addict, but I make my Addict go further by using one tiny squirt of it then three or four squirts of TBS Shea. Edit 2: it's also a bit like Bvlgari Omnia so it's a stretcher for several things!

Simple and sensual--all warm nuttiness and sweet vanilla. Shea is so skin-like. It has a very natural, light, non-cloying sweetness to it. It smells youthful, artless, and vital. I get a cream-in-oil vibe from it, but non-greasy. It’s sensual and clean and light—like taut, warm, glossy skin, shining with beads of lake water. Many people seem to perceive Shea as a fall/winter fragrance, but for me it's pure summer. It feels _made_ of summer. The longevity is poor and the sillage is minimal, but the bottle is small enough to stash easily in a purse or backpack or a beach bag, and it’s fifteen dollars, so I don't really mind. In a way Shea's ephemerality only adds to its evocative charm.

Very unisex, it starts off smelling like the opening notes of a men's cologne thanks to the aromatic bergomot zest and lavender blend. It is in no way overly herbaceous or citrusy smelling, it's all immediately soften by the light powdery sweet creaminess of shea butter, which has a slight nutty scent. It's a nut covered in a nut butter sort of nutty scent if you can imagine that. It's fresh yet warm and comforting at the same time like a woman's clean must smelling cashmere sweater which has a slight bit of her boyfriend's Cologne still on it. Very unique, I urge you to try it. Aromatic Nutty Creamy Sweet Powdery

At first I was dissappointed because I thought it was a little too masculine. After a couple uses I am glad that I have mistaken the bottle and bought Shea instead of Brazil Nut. Shea is sweet and creamy and yet very clean and fresh. First it smells a little like shaving cream but after 10 minutes the creamy sweetness becomes noticable. It has a good longevity but stays close to skin. It smells very comforting and clean. Great for using after shower or bedtime. And perfect for layering. It gives a warm, nutty and lotion like smell to whatever perfume you layer it.

I might sound insane, but this reminds me a lot of the dry-down of Replica’s Coffee Break. Shea EDT is much softer, but they both have that creamy, clean, soapy yet buttery aromatic scent profile. Shea EDT is a gorgeous everyday fragrance that is also soothing to wear for winding down at the end of a long day. I agree with others who have stated this is a perfect bed time scent as it’s so inoffensive, light, and calming. The price is also fantastic.

I love this. At first, it smells masculine, but as time progresses the scent softens into something nutty and creamy. I find it soothing and relaxing. It's safe to wear this kind of scent in office, it's mild and inoffensive. Reminds me of perfume samples on the folded pages of Vogue magazines back in the 90's. P.S. -- It smells so nice that i bought the body lotion.. the lotion is creamy and the scent is lighter compared to the body mist.

In my opinion this is one of the best affordable fragrances you can buy. It has a warm, clean and sophisticated vibe & is also great for layering. Nothing sharp or harsh here. Totally unisex. The minimalist in me thinks that if I had to have one versatile scent, this would be it... Suitable for any weather and occasion. The only drawback is the lasting power - probably 2-3 hours tops. Other than that, this is a true gem.

I love this fragrance so much it has everything I want in a perfume. Warm, vanilla, nutty, fresh, slightly masculine, comforting. Sadly I need to overspray to get any kind of projection but it smells divine. I found this after looking for a vegan dupe for Armani Lei and it has that same "summer rain on warm skin" feeling I love so much. I will need to stock up soon as I run out so fast :(

I received this as a Christmas gift as the Vanilla perfume I had wished for was out of stock, but what a pleasant surprise this was! I don’t know why I haven’t tried Shea before, it’s definitely one of my new favorites. It’s a warm, nutty and comforting close to skin scent, and I even appreciate it being unisex. I don’t usually like unisex scents but this one is just beautiful.

I love it. It's so soft and inoffensive. Sweet, but not too sweet, nutty, powderry, milky and creamy. At first the alcohol hits kind of strong, but it fades away within minutes. Perfect for everyday. Though it doesn't last long for me, but I kind of like it that it's light, and as it's cheap, it's feels okay to respray it once in a while. Good for layering too.

Natural, earthy, nutty, smells like the best shea body butter lotion cream. A great out of the shower scent. I love to spray this after a shower and applying my scent free CeraVe Lotion. This just wraps you in a hug of clean shea nut butter. To me this really smells like a lotion so some might wish it had more 'fragrance' but I love it for what it is.

I had been looking for this fragrance forever, and I didn't even know it. Smells warm and beautiful. An intense version of all the best things about Shea. Definitely great for fall and winter, because it is the fragrance version of a cashmere sweater, however, it is soft enough to be worn in warmer weather. I would consider it a day fragrance.

Absolutely in love wih this fragrance but stay very very close to the skin.... PLEASE HELP ME to find a match for this and with better longevity and projection (I tried Rochas man, J’ose Eisenberg which are the most similar, tried also New Harleem and Pure Tonka but too strong and don’t smell exacly like The Body Shop Shea

The whole Shea line of TBS has an intriguing fragrance, in my opinion... Smells like sexy cleanliness, like woody-smelling clean sheets! It's very linear, but I do enjoy this scent and it lasts about 3 hours on me with soft sillage. Inoffensive, feminine and simple, very wearable overall.

I am a sucker for this scent, such a creamy, beautiful perfume! It just feels a bit too manly for me, which is one of the reasons why I didn't buy it (I wear perfume to accentuate my femininity, not to hide it!), the other two being sillage and lasting power - both too weak for my liking.

you need this. it’s creamy and nutty while still feeling super clean and light. I love it, especially after a bath or shower. it’s an EDT, so doesn’t have much staying power, but it’s so inexpensive it’s easy to spritz with abandon. I might have to get myself the rest of the shea line lol

This used to be one of the scents I wore a lot during my high school years and I got compliments on it. It's very creamy and nutty. Sometimes I would spray it on after shower before bedtime. It was very cozy and comforting. The only complaint I have is that is not long lasting.

To me this is the perfect 'just out of the shower' bedtime scent. It smells so clean and cuddly and nutty to me, not like you're wearing perfume, but like you just naturally smell good after a shower. Simple, just like the body butter but wonderful.

It is so warm and nutty, like a big soft hug. To me it has a touch of a masculine vibe. I can smell it for hours and hours on me. Every time I open the door, a wave of it comes into my nose. Perfect for that price!

this smell like a clean naked skin, freshly wash and warm. i know it's weird but if i'm an alien and i don't know how human skin smell like this is would be it.

I came on here just to vote that the dry down of Replicas Coffee Break smells like this, @chelseamurdock you are definitely right!

for some reasons this reminds me of the original dior homme from 2010s. its comforting and cozy

I love it. Pure smell of shea. Suits for noses who love woody notes.

Neutral, natural, creamy, nutty, and soft, amazing for winter.

One spray of A*Men blend with two of Shea = Fantastic!

I had forgotten I had the scent. It was lost on my shelf amongst MANY bottles of perfume. I am so glad I rediscovered it. I have the small bottle, but I will be purchasing a larger bottle soon. I was searching for something that was comforting, clean, snuggly, and soft to wear to bed tonight. I showered and found this fragrance on my shelf. Sniffed it and it was perfect! I squirted the scent into my Naked Body Butter by Bliss and lotioned from my knees up. And just for an added touch I added some Facconable Femme in the NBB by Bliss on my legs. This is the perfect combination to fall to sleep with. Probably won't be bad to wake up to either. And as this weather is changing towards cooler temps I think it will be a perfect choice alternative from my Bath and Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar which I wear frequently throughout the winter. I do not find the Shea to be sweet as others have noted. I guess because warm vanilla sugar is what I consider sweet. This is just fantastic. I also agree there Moringa and Neroli are also great scents, but I prefer those for spring and summer. All three will be staples in my perfume repertoire. TIP: I almost never buy the fragrance body lotions or creams after I learned that I could make my own with any scents I have with Naked Body Butter by Bliss. It is fragrance free and turns any of your perfumes into a luxurious body cream. Will save you a ton of money. The only exception right now is that I will splurge on Jo Malone body creams because of their longevity and quality of fragrance.

I got the body mist of this a few days ago and I originally added the other listing of TBS Shea to my profile which I think might be a different fragrance only sold in Brazil based on the notes listed there vs what I smell from my body mist. Shea is unisex and leans slightly masculine because it smells aromatic. I think it has lavender in it. The aromatic aspect of it is most noticeable when you first apply it but that will fade away over time into just the sweet nutty base that is always there. I like to use it at bedtime because of the lavender + cozy sweetness and it's not really strong or lasts that long. From what I can remember, it has similarities to Coffee Break which I have tested on my skin before. Shea is a good starting point for anyone interested in trying something slightly masculine because the price is good and even better if you get a good deal on it. (I got it CAD $10 off) Just make sure to try before you buy in case you realize the aromatic note isn't your thing, The Body Shop is very common in malls!

I've loved the scent of the shea line from the body shop for ages, so I finally decided to get the edt. it's genuinely such a difficult scent to describe (wish they'd add notes), but it projects a comforting and sensual feeling. it's rich and sweet but never too much. in fact I can't get enough! on the dry down, the edt is pretty much identical to the scent of the body butter. in the opening, there's a spicy masculine note to it. I layer it with the coconut body mist when I want it sweeter. but again, I find that it does fade. still, I'd probably consider it a unisex fragrance. it's just universally gorgeous. highly recommend getting it, if you're considering. you'll get a high quality little fragrance at an affordable price and with minimal toxic ingredients. what's not to like?

I've always liked the nutty, not-too-sweet scent of the Shea Body Butter from The Body Shop so I blind bought the EDT spray. This does smell similar to the body butter, but there's a little kick of spice to it. To me this is an almond-y, nutty, creamy vanilla with some warm spices and aromatics (I think I might be picking up lavender?). It definitely does lean a little masculine, I'm going to see if I can get my boyfriend to use this one or maybe give it to my brother. I love how cozy and comforting the scent is, but I think the only time I'd wear this myself is when I'm hanging out around the house in the colder months.

Nice smell! I'm not sure if I can consider this a perfume, because it smells more of a body butter. Actually the body butter in the same line works great and smells great. The EdT has basically the same scent and it's very cosy and relaxing as when you had a shower and then rest on a sofa with a blanket. I think this is more of a feminine scent, sweet and nutty, but not brain-hammering sugary. Worn with sense it could be a perfect smell to wear when you don't feel like wearing perfume, still you want a smell-good effect. I can see the resemblance with the Armani's one, but Shea is more gentle and less pungent.

Creamy nutty scent... Mmmm! I really like the smell of this one. It reminds me of cocoa butter or shea butter but in perfume form! This is a great skin scent which I would imagine would also be great for layering. The vanilla and tonka bean add together to make a creamy oriental scent. Absolutely beautiful. Ultimately a nice, inoffensive scent with medium to weak projection and longevity, more suited as a body mist or skin scent. Saying that, a perfect base for layering. A yummy scent and one which I like wearing.

I purchased this perfume on a clearance sale at the body shop this week, alongside the perfume coconut oil. I must say, that I definitely like Shea, better, due to having more depth. It is a nice scent, a lighter wearing scent, and it seems like a very versatile perfume, that would work in many different settings and moods. I don't particularly enjoy the synthetic top, of the body shop's fragrances, but they seem to dry down quickly, so it isn't much of an issue. A nice scent if you are on a budget.

You wouldn't expect any revolutions in the perfuming art from a scent by The Body Shop, would you? Instead, what you get is an unobtrusive yet elegant compoition that is sweet on the surface and tart below. It is almost ideal for a sweet fragrance that can be worn day by day during summer. It reminds me a bit of the Lolita Lempicka range but without the heavy undertones, i.e. some kind of "Lolita light". Considering this, don't get fooled by the unisex label, as it's definitely a female scent. ***

This is a really nice find from The Body Shop. Sitting between the decadence of Chocomania and Brazil Nut it's easily over-looked, however Shea has warmth and nuttiness but smells natural. It's a very nice clean skin scent, but to me this actually smells like a man's clean skin, which makes it quite an intoxicating little number. It smells like the bf's skin after he's put on the L'Occitane after-shave balm, which does indeed contain shea butter. A treat for simple days or cuddling up at home.

I agree with chance25: this smells like someone tried to create an impression of the Shea line and kinda failed. It smells alright, but I just wish they had created the scent of the Shea salt scrub (that lovely, somewhat masculine scent), or the shower gel (softer, creamier and slightly masculine as well). This comes closest to the body butter, I think, which is my least favorite out of the Shea line (although it's still nice). I do like the packaging; nice, simple, and clean.

I blind bought this. Just a heads up, it really does come off as a mildly sweet and spicy cologne to the common nose. If I wore this to go out with my friends, they would think I was wearing some kind of oddly slightly feminine cologne. It smells pretty good, but if a cologne-y feeling isn't what you're going for, don't get it! That said, my preferred scents are gourmands, greens, and anything mildly sweet and soft.

Layeder with TBS shea body butter for extra longevity - kinda worked? but I never get more than 4 hours out of it; it sits REALLY close to the skin, so as lovely as it is, sadly, no one ever notices it (even after I ask them to sniff it) Wearing it in the summer, but it's more a winter scent, warm and cozy, with a slighly vanilla-y drydown. Glad to have it, but will probably end up using it as a room spray.

I've never smelled shea. But this EDT from TBS smells nutty and woody, and hardly any sweetness. It has a reserved attitude to my nose. Towards the end, it also have a sort of powdery smell like in some cosmetics stuff. The longevity is around 5 hours and the scent stays very close to skin. I also tried the body butter, which seems to hold better on the skin.

This smells creamy and comfy, somewhat like smelling hazelnut (the one in nutella) - just yummy. I can fall asleep to this, in fact I'm totally imagining this again now as I'm writing. I didn't have the slightest idea how "shea" smells like - I've only ever smelled it in "shea butter" but if it's so, then it's yummy nutty smell. Like.

Smells great - sweet and nutty but slightly manly. I really like the smell and I would love to be around people who wear it, but I do not think that I want to smell like it for a long time. I think this is too masculine for me - it reminds me of men's colognes. It could be worn by women but in my opinion, in autumn or winter.

I have the body cream and I tried the EDT. It has a soft, calming, nutty, cozy scent in lavender and nutty tones. Ideal for fall/winter. The body cream has great performance (as an hydrating body cream and as fragrance, I mean). But the EDT has poor longevity as fragrance (maximum 1 hour), though... :-(

To me this scent is very nostalgic. Reminds me of some girl in an all-inclusive resort by the beach where she stands out in a crowd full of people. Very basic, plain, but in a good way. Can never go wrong with this one. I will forever love The Body Shop and its shea butter based products.

To my nose it leans masculine with the lavender/aromatic note. But I like it at night when I've overworked my nose. It calms me somehow. It's very light and using the body creme with it adds a creamy base to sleep with. It reminds me of hair conditioner, not soap, but still very clean.

Recently I discovered Eisenberg J'ose homme, immediately fell in love. Today I went to the Body shop accidentally and smelled Shea edt. Shocked that it smells exactly like Jose by Eisenberg. :) The sillage and lasting is not so good, rather close to skin for 3 hours on my skin.

This one smells like biscuits, that's it. Of course as all of the body shop fragrances, it lasts not more than 30 minutes but during the January sale they were 5 euros for 30ml which is not bad. Perfect after a shower or to go to the supermarket without being overbearing.

I returned this today. Although I did like it, I thought it a tad too much masculine and not worth keeping :/ It is a nice soft scent, like lotion but like cologne? It's not bad but wanted to get something else ;) Instead I traded it in for the Black Musk lotion
