Bergamote

I think the magic working in this fragrance is the sheer, uplifting and wonderful ginger. Combined with the bergamot and orange blossoms it creates a great, uplifting scent, full of energy and zing! This is truly unisex. Unlike Tokyo Bloom and Sienne d'orange, which are my favourites but slightly on the feminine side. It smells like an explosion of bergamot and tangy tangerines, fabulous summer scent! I got a sample, and probably if you haven't tried yet, you should order one too! Right now I'm thinking about getting a whole 90ml bottle!

Trust me when I say this: THIS & LE LABO'S BERGAMOTE 22 are hands down the two BEST BERGAMOTE frags on the market.... I challenge ANYONE to introduce my nose to something superior!!! These frags are: 1 & 1A in quality....!

Fresh, lovely bergamot. It's what I think we all expect from Ellena, and I do love him. There are no wrong notes. Everything is just enough, nothing is too much. It's an elegant blend. The orange blossom lends a soft sweetness but doesn't take over. Gorgeous but a bit fleeting. Would be great in spring and summer.

This is a sketch for the later De Bachmakov from the brand. Very comfortable to wear and quite enjoyable for spring/summer

Rather lovely, this one. It begins with a nice clear blast of bergamot with a little ginger and a touch of rhubarb and green notes supporting it. It radiates for about an hour before it settles down to being a skin scent. I can't honestly say I smell musk at any point but it is very delicate once it becomes a skin scent. It does have that Ellena hallmark of class about it and the blend is excellent. There is a crispness, a lovely citric clarity about it. It's refreshing. The only trouble is the longevity, or rather the lack of it. I get a bit over three hours from it before there's just a hint of gentle green notes like vetiver blowing in the breeze. Definitely worth trying.

What I get is a high quality realistic bergamot opening, with tons of that deliciously tart pale yellow hued citrus sparkle morphing in what I can best describe as a sour candy accord, slightly fruity slightly sugary slightly zingy with a clean soapy musky component. The gold standard for a bergamot cologne for me is Eau de Cologne Chanel Exclusif and it is definitely comparable in quality, but definitely more modern, feminine leaning, and minimalist. Ideal for those looking for a sweeter fizzier bergamot.

It's lovely but it disappears within the hour. Very chic, fresh, zingy, like wearing a crisp white suit accented with maybe a few yellow accessories, so summery. But as elusive as a summer romance...

Lovely bergamote opening, then smelt like Bulgary Eau Parfume au the vert....it did not develop into any of the other notes listed on my skin.

This is just great bergamot without any extra sweetness. It’s great for summer, and also for all seasons as an office morning cologne.

Fresh ginger-y bergamot opening, that will quickly morph into the soapy territory backed by a bit of sweetness and a creamy neroli. Soft projection, weak longevity. Unisex, leans a bit feminine imo. Some noticeable similarities with Zegna Italian Bergamot EDP, but Zegna's has a better performance and leans a bit more masculine imo. Still, the perfect uninvasive easy reach for a Summer breakfast, so that one has time to think at what frag to choose for the rest of the day. Warm days, 15+.

Honestly nothing particularly special about this fragrance, the opening is the best part but doesn't last and becomes a faint skin scent within 3 hours. Is it bad, no but you can find much better fragrances with this profile for much less.

A really zingy, fizzy, uplifting bergamot. Combining bergamot with ginger and rhubarb gives it a lemongrass and lemon sherbet feel. It’s really fresh, bright and naturalistic. It’s the shining first light of a luscious green spring.

My sample cube reads BERGAMOTE, not DIVINE BERGAMOTE. Not sure whether these are the same or mine is supposed to be less than divine, but I had pretty low expectations for a fragrance bearing the name of a note found in 33% of all perfumes and usually not playing a starring role--perhaps for a reason? Those expectations were met and exceeded. There's certainly more than bergamot in this refreshing citrus cologne. The ginger blends in to produce a tonic which reminds me for obvious reasons of Bond no 9 NEW YORK FLING, also a citrus-ginger composition. In a side-by-side comparison, I find NEW YORK FLING certainly more declarative but also more interesting than BERGAMOTE, probably because of the touch of florality and basil mingling with the wood. I also think that as a straight-up citrus, BERGAMOTE does not really stand out from the crowd and has poor longevity even in this category notorious for evanescence.

The most pure bergamote you can wish for! It's quite strong in the beginning, as opposed to other scents from The Different Company. Silage is good, and there is a cooling quality is eludes. The top notes come as citrucy and fresh, a flowery scent comes in the middle, very clean, probably from the musk, even a bit soapy. Woods in the end are light and blond. The entire composition is airy crisp, top to bottom. After the bergamote softens up, the scent resembles quite a bit Chanel Cristalle Eau Verte. It could be easily be worn by a man too. Lovely for summer time! I have a decant and I enjoy it, but I am not sure I would invest in a full bottle of any scent from this brand... their perfumes are gorgeous but way too diluted to justify the price.

A lovely clear bergamot scent with bright jolts of ginger. This is spectacular in summer. The wood notes with bergamot do make this rather unisex: It isn't strictly masculine or feminine, but I would say leans towards the clean crisp variety we have come to recognize from Calvin Klein and from men's colognes. It never becomes completely masculine, though, remaining clear and crisp. An excellent fragrance with a simple approach that is sadly lacking in some of the complicated, over-worked scents being released these days.

Ah, what a pleasure, sheer pleasure smelling this!!! Dear Jean-Claude Ellena, I love this scent! It is so utterly unpretentios, so fresh and reviving -and so much better than the usual citrus-bergamotte perfumes on the market, one of the worst being the awful "Lemon" by Etro, smelling like a replica of Mr Proper ... But this one is different, clear, crisp - and long lasting. Congratulations, Monsieur "Le Nez" ! I'm so glad I finally found a good bergamotte fragrance!

A nice refreshing scent, I absolutely adore bergamot rhubarb, and fresh greens. This starts off almost sour and herbal, but that is very short lived, it morphs into a more sweet scent (at least on my skin, which tames all but the most dry or sour frags) Once tamed this is truly enjoyable, and quite long lasting too! The bergamot and greens shine for the longest, I am not picking up any ginger.

This is a pleasant scent but you have to make it 20 times stronger for fully be able to enjoy it. And it's a pity cause it's well made, although i do smell the rhubarb more than the bergamot ( and i do'nt mind, i Like rhubarb), a blow of powder and ambergris, fading in a far away woody landscape. But don't blame me cause i want to smell it.!

This is an interesting composition, it has the depth of an edp, and I am sure that on the right skin it smells devine. However, this perfume confirmed to me what I suspected long ago. Bergamote is not for me..I get a bitter bergamot - flavoured green tea and a harsh strong soap smell.. In fact, I am convinced that I would love it on a man.

The bergamot in this scent is so pure, true, and piercingly crisp that it actually tickles the back of my throat. Once the initial bergamot blast subsides, however, the scent moves into standard aromatic citrus territory, with nothing especially new to say. Not as impressive as their incomparable Osmanthus, but nice enough overall.

This is a crispy green fresh slight powder scent. It starts with the bergamot/ginger start then goes flat from there. This is mediocre. Very feminine to my nose. Not impressed even for woman to wear. There is better bergamot scents for men out there.

Is Divine Bergamot the same fragrance as this ? Mine is Divine Bergamot. Unfortunately not long lasting, but a beautiful scent for summer time. Perfect bedtime fragrance if you have taken a shower and want to go to sleep.

A clean bergamote top notes followed by a huge musk dose and a hint of rose. Average projection and longevity ( about 4-5 hours on my skin). For the price at which its sold, i think that better options can be found.

Lovely juice. It simply doesn't last on me. I guess that's what I get for being one-half greasy Italian ;-) . Lucky to get half an hour out of it :-( . FYI - I think Pureness is correct that this is unisex.

There are a lot of notes listed that I don't smell, but it's no loss. This is such a lovely crisp clean scent that it stands well on its own.
