Dance of the Dawn

An incredibly refined patchouli, bringing together almost everything I could love? Definitely yes!! It offers a multitude of extremely pleasant and often unusual facets The opening is spicy, peppery more than fruity (although this facet is present) but with a balance which gives a refined atmosphere. There is a sweetness and a subtlety which balances everything out precisely and gives a rare olfactory pleasure. Then comes the patchouli.. On the one hand, the patchouli from Sulawesi offers here an earthy and even dusty atmosphere (the incense also prolongs and reinforces this facet) but also partly chocolatey because the vanilla in an underground space offers it this springboard. I recently saw the article dedicated to it and I can only disagree even if everyone's sense of smell is necessarily biased...mine detects all these facets! Finally, this patchouli from Indonesia would be responsible for the salinity that we find in the heart of this perfume and I must say that it is genius. This salty part of patchouli is just magical, it's a first for me and it's just a delight. I can imagine that this could refer to the idea of beach, sun and sea.. This sea is not a blue or aquatic sea, it is a lagoon! A green lagoon in which a living and engulfed forest breathes deeply as if in a crystal. The salt crystals are the day stars deposited on its surface. The salty sand that surrounds it smells of vanilla, it evokes sandalwood and this sand, so fine and so pure, cannot be held by the hands. The air is soft and the only thing that appears on your face is a smile while in a movement of abandon you let yourself slide back with confidence on a cloud. There is nothing that pushes you, nothing that demands, everything carries you and transports you. It's not a dream, it's this perfume! I have to say that I find it better than LIDGE by Guerlain and better than Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense..it combines the best parts and adds others (that earthy effect in a woody and saline atmosphere) with ease and completely astonishing simplicity! Everything seems to be obvious on your skin, the driftwood, the almost green and grassy/earthy bitterness of the patchouli merges with them...it's just terribly beautiful, and addictive. I find it and it is paradoxical at the same time sweet, and almost on the verge of divisive due to this dusty earthy and almost humus facet (this musty side). While avoiding too much as would Coromandel edt (which I love precisely for that). About Coromandel, I find this TDC a very interesting alternative to Chanel...it is between the edt and the edp still offering a facet resolutely turned towards the edt! He has a mastery that gives a balance that we grant to the niche (that's good, he is!) and his bias is an in-between where the hardest chords come into contrast at the same time with the gentlest without some becoming dominant to the detriment of others. This forms a coherent, harmonious whole and the whole thing appears as an easy and yet rigorous pleasure! In the trail it appears chocolatey, vanilla with a sweet patchouli...the closer you get, the more the driftwood and the earthy/salty side of the patchouli come out and that's really my favorite part, especially in its heart. To live this experience is to understand how there can be an outcome in certain creations: the analogy and the relationship to Cologne is not obvious but here this work of the perfumer has achieved a complete feat! Make a patchouli airy, airy, earthy, saline without stripping it. Give him an opposing body and mind: the mind is lightness, subtlety, refinement...his living body evolving from the tender morning, to the end of the day. For my part, it's not the Dance of the Dawn, it's the class of the day! This edp has a long lasting effect and a moderate sillage. I first bought a 10ml then a few days were enough for me to take a 100ml I really needed it! In this regard I find that this brand is worth the detour offering 10ml at reasonable prices for the niche, it's a plus without a doubt! Just like its positioning on access to its raw materials.. A complete success...and a favorite for me!

Very refined and beautiful scent. Patchouli might be in the center but it feels like as if all its edges have been blended into something else, like a white sun with beams that are all kinds of colours and have a general ombre effect (these are the nuances of other notes - interestingly, I perceive all of them). Dance of the Dawn is somewhat extravagant, but painfully elegant. I expected something artsy and boheme but naaay, this is not a party scent, it is introspective and maybe even a tad melancholic. An out of box, fancy meditation on the last day of summer, a poem that has depth but still can be read out loud on a special occasion. 10/10 on its own way, and I love it.

The Best Combination of Patchouli , Spices and Vanilla. Earthy, Spicy , Chypre and Complex. This is a Gorgeous Fragrance and A Modern Scent with the Shadow of Classic style. I tried it on my skin in store and I fell in love with it at first sniff ! You can't go wrong with it, If you like The Patchouli note. If you like Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense, You will like this one. Dance of the Dawn is on my Radar and I will buy it. It opens up with fresh spicy and floral, balsamic notes in the background then dry down is semi sweet Vanilla , earthy and woody. Longevity is Average. Highly Recommended. Two Thumbs Up. Patchouli-focused scent that is more balsamic than bitter/dirty.

This is a very refined and elegant patchouli fragrance. I am not a fan of patchouli, but if you want to have one great patchouli fragrance, this could be a good option. It oppens with spicy and citrucy but quickly go into a very harmonious scent. This is an examle of balanced french perfumery. The addition of iris and driftwood to the patchouli is very intresting. It's one of those fragrances in which you can feel all the notes but it is difficult to pick one separately. All notes create a homogeneous and refined scent. It's a lovely fragrance. 7.5/10

Spicy patchouli with some powdery iris-like subtleties...sleepy patchouli without strength, It gives the impression that you have to push him to continue forward. Mixed with an accord in the background of a classic fougère,so some "green-masculine" undertones and some vanilla just to support all this. Patchouli is a very cheap ingredient, when such prices are asked for mediocrely executed patchouli-based perfumes I get the feeling that they are kidding me.

An herbal, green patchouli. Opens with a big dose of pink pepper in the opening that feels effervescent but not prickly. Sweetens in the dry down with vanilla. Not sure if I'm getting that salty driftwood, but I am getting a lactonic creaminess from somewhere. It's round, pleasing scent, but doesn't really stand out from other patchoulis I've tried. 100% unisex. Very similar to the discontinued ELDO Nombril Immense.

Elegant, super earthy patchouli in a divinely purple liquid in a beautiful glass cube... Ah, but I am smitten! This is true Indonesian patch expertly blended with the supporting notes including fresh pepper, driftwood, vanilla and just a hint of mandarin and incense. Iris, too, but i wish that would've been left out. This is my first The Different Company fragrance and I'm certain it's not my last. ✨

I just got my FB of this beauty. It’s wonderful - a pretty, uplifting, powdery, dark fruit with a soft musk and black pepper backdrop. I loved from the first test. To me it leans feminine. Wearable at just about any time (except when heavily sweating). Excellent longevity and projection.

Sour patchouli, gritty pink pepper, dry woods. Performance is excellent.
