Love is coming... Chapter II

It's been very strange. I have not been in the mood to write about any fragrance at all. I have tried something new almost every single day. I have so many that are being sent to me or I am purchasing myself that I have become a little bit overwhelmed. I'm not sure if that is the reason or if I just haven't found anything particularly moving. I think I needed to get back to the basics. And for some reason, the different company Love is coming chapter 2 has done that for me. It is the perfect backyard garden fragrance. I like to think of a backyard garden as a place to relax and to reconnect with nature. It provides physical Health as well as mental health and I might even say spiritual health. It doesn't have to be complicated either. It can be just you and your plants. How you take care of them is entirely dependent upon you and it is very obvious once your results come in how well you in fact did take care of your plants and yourself. This fragrance is exactly that. Nothing more nothing less. Opening the door to your backyard, you receive a faint smell of tomato plants and pepper plants. That's also what you get here. Very realistic. Upon walking either around your garden or through your garden, you start to smell the floral aspect coming from either your flowers, from your vegetables or the rose bushes you planted around it. When you put this fragrance up close to your nose, you experience that beautiful sweet rose mixing with geranium and black currant. I feel like Matthew has had personal experience when it comes to gardening because of how well he executed this concept. Nothing is overdone or under done for that matter. It's a very realistic and pleasant experience. I initially thought that this was going to be about romantic love, but I think I was mistaken. This is about the love the Earth provides to you on a regular basis. It's about the experience of a personal summer harvest. It's a must have for the people out there who are gardeners or simply people that truly enjoy the spoils at a farmers market. It's one of the best Garden greens I have smelled it a long time and it has reinvigorated me. How ironic for this type of fragrance to do that! I truly believe in the power of great perfume.

I'm wearing a sample from Lucky Scent which I ordered from their "Tomato Pack" of summer scents. This appeals to me as it reminds me of one of my favorites, DS & Durga's Coriander. It has that same zingy, green, aromatic, fresh, uplifting, refreshing summer essence. Here the key note is tomato, a note I love now. Tomatoes are a fruit, though many think of them as a vegetable, and if you categorize tomato as a fruit it makes sense they give off a refreshing, thirst quenching, cooling green note. The other note I detect strongly is the rose, and these two notes, tomato and rose are the main ones in the fragrance. More intelligent people will detect geranium, sandalwood, lavender, but I cannot. However, the whole fragrance smells very, very good. My only disappointment is the price. I would not ever spend $250 for this. No way. I am getting just as much, if not more enjoyment out of my $59 bottle of Terre d'Hermes Eau Givree Hermès, which is also a perfect summer fragrance and even more cooling and refreshing than "Love is Coming."

This fragrance is INCREDIBLE! So creative and different. It's as if you got stuck in a blackcurrant bush in the high heat of summer and crushed the leaves and stems against your skin. It's fresh, cool and lively. It makes me think of Verge by Criminal Elements. The tomato leaf is definitely prominent and super realistic, but the black currant is right there, backing it up. It's not a sweet fragrance but rather herbaceous. It's like a lush, vegetal garden tended by an expert gardener. Mainly vegetables, some fruits (berries) and some roses. Highly recommended.

Sweet fresh green opening ( loooord I love a tomato leaf note) the florals give it a very feminine clean feel. I don't get any woody musky notes. There's something addicting and rejuvenating. It's very feminine, lively, outdoorsy. I adore this for spring and summer

Beauty. Similar DNA to MiN NY-Chef's Table. I would say MiN is more unisex and this one leaning more feminine. But as a male I love this on me.

it feels so weord to smell like vegetables but it is so nice and perfect for warm weather

On paper first impression: Thick, watery vegetal... melon? Slightly fruity, very green, fresh. Tomato leaf / basil stands out, it makes me picture the vegetable aisle at the grocery store with the misting sprinklers creating a very light cooling/refreshing atmosphere. On skin first impression: I just keep thinking "sopping wet". Makes me think of a big pile of greenery but it's kinda mushy. I think it's the rose, I might be sensitive to it. After really taking it in for 2-3 hours on skin, it reminded me of the rose used in Filippo Sorcinelli's Pioggia Forte (not the overall frag of course), to me it's this sopping wet rose that just had its petals obliterated by a heavy storm and it's just turned to mush... I do prefer it on paper, which I guess is the same as saying I'd find it more pleasant on someone/something else but not on myself.

would much prefer this as a candle or hand soap! first spray is straight up crisp bell pepper. as it settles sweetness from the rose and musk come through. what i imagine clothes that were drying on the line next to a veggie garden would smell like. i couldn’t smell is on my skin after 3ish hours but my boyfriend could and he said it was more floral than at the beginning. luckily never got any cat pee from the black currant, which had made me hesitant to try this.

So i just got this in today and this is the first sample I tried. I skipped the paper and went to skin directly - it is beautiful and very soft rose, nothing too overpowering. I do like it, it is lovely floral but I think this will remain as "like" and not "love", so no buy. Unfortunately I did not get any of the green notes and someone compared it to coriander (ds&durga) which to me doesn't make sense because coriander is very green and this is rosy, maybe my nose skips all the greens and gets to the rose. I got the sample kit from the brand directly. Edit: I sprayed it on a paper and i got the green pepper note, very very faintly - it is gentle despite smelling amazing as a note. Still tho nowhere near coriander's greenness.

Loooved this smell! Such a light and airy green full of whimsy. It fills a particular style of green, earthy and rounded that I’ve only seen by layering Celadon Miller Harris and Paradisi Jorum. Unfortunately, as I dive into my second year of intense perfumery, I can’t tolerate aroma fixatives like amberwood, ambroxan, etc, because they give me migraines as they are two tenacious on the trigeminal nerve. TLDR: Beautiful. Light. Long lasting. Hard to wash off. Two day migraine.

It is totally crazy how much this smells like L’ombre dans l’eau. It perhaps has slightly more lightness or brightness; but the way that black currant and rose are combined with green notes makes this just eerily similar to my nose. To me this is a slightly modernized version of the diptyque, which came out in 1983. I never think about perfumes this way, but the similarity is uncanny.

beautiful, active, outdoorsy, and lively. picture like stock footage of a little girl running through a country garden. on that note, there’s a slight musk happening somewhere that reminds me of prepubescent sweat in a way that makes me feel weird about wearing it
