Sens et Bois

This was a freebie sample so had no expectations...was surprised just how much i liked it, it's fresh and bright while at the same time deep and calming, most important...it's so easy to wear, smelled gorgeous on my sister when she tried it, sophisticated and understated.

It seems masculine because it is declared as unisex...anyway, I love it. Woody, spicy. Skinscent. Pretty sexy.

It used to be my favourite fragrance, but not any more...love is gone. It became too ordinary for my taste. But I still consider it beautiful, I don't feel need to wear it though. It opens with storm of dry pepper with fresh, juicy ginger, after short time soft, cool and very natural violet appears and blends with spices which makes the frangrance blurred like a forest in a fog. From this point it's getting more and more woodsy, cold and harsh cedar wood shows up which enhences this "woodsy-ness". At this stage it's olfactoric visualisation of these magical woods from chinese fantasy films like "Hero", always shrouded in a morning fog, everything is in greyish blue and silver colours, calm and quiet.

The first note that hit me (unfortunately) was the black pepper, not a favorite. But about 3 minutes later (give or take a minute); I smell the violet mixed with the woods and the combination is beautiful. It was well worth the wait for the pepper to go away. Now I'm getting the incense too; which I love! In no way, shape or form am I getting even a tiny masculine on the dry down or anywhere. I love it! I hope it lasts on my skin because I'd love to smell it all day!

Never have I smelled anything like this before!! A beautiful Cedar-Violet-Peppery neroli. The ginger lifts it up seven levels. The incense gives it a subtle sweetness. Sens et Bois is quite sublime: 9/10 Sillage: 3/10 Longevity: 3/10

Smells incredible in the sample bottle. I wish this is what it smelled like on me. Not sure what that initial whiff is (reminds me of the "expensive" woman's perfume smell from the 90s) but in less than 2 minutes it turns into a heavy patchouli with a side of cedar. Smells good enough but very masc and rather generic. Three hours later and it's a vague patchouli skin scent.

The fragrance is mysterious (something I like about perfume). The atmosphere is shaiky. After a few hours, the smell of smoke will feel the pepper and the wood ash. Next to this rumor, I felt the beautiful, pleasant and relaxing feeling of the cedar plant adding to the beauty of the thing (which I did not smell of). My impression of the aroma of the indoor space inside the dark dark room with a mysterious, smoky smell, with a hearty patchouli and patchouli, and the soaked soil, the wood that turns to ashes and the burning of the wood, the atmosphere of the place moves to dry and spicy. . My picture of the perfume of a high-class person is solemn, with a decorated appearance. I wanted the perfume to last longer to enjoy Mrs. Celine Ellena's great work. Although I do not see anything special about this fragrance, but I do not really know it convincing, maybe it's just that I'm surely a good perfume for me. سنس ات بویس داستان سایه و نوره. انتظار فضای تازه و شاداب خیلی از کارای دیفرنت کمپانی رو نباید داشت ازش و البته نباید این تصور هم ایجاد بشه که این عطر در فضایی پر از دود و تاریک و چوبی فرو میره. این یه عطر ما بین این دو فضاست که بوی خاکستر و یه تلخی آمیخته با شیرینی محو ازش به مشام میرسه و در گرمای مطبوع و زیبایی جریان داره. حس دارویی-الکلی گرم از همون ابتدای کار، همراهی فلفل و فضای اسپایسی خشک و کمی تند رو کنار خودش داره. با محو شدن این تم الکلی و دارویی، فضای خشک اسپایسی برجسته تر میشه و کمی بوی چرکین به خودش می گیره که سدر سبز و تیز بهش اجازه نمیده تا زیاد خودنمایی کنه. با دودی شدن این فضای اسپایسی خشک و چوبی، عطر تاریک و سنگین میشه که در نهایت با ورود پچولی شیک خاکی و کمی گیاهی عطر وارد فاز پایانی میشه که یه درخشش محو به خودش می گیره. پچولی خاکی و کمی دارویی-گیاهی در کنار سدر دودی و کمی خاکستری که در یه اتمسفر فلفلی طبیعی و شیک با هم همراه شدن عطرو تا لحظه ای که فقط یه خاکستر فلفلی ضعیف باقی بمونه ازش، همراهی خواهند کرد. سنس ات بویس یه کار ملایم باپرستیژه که دلیل زنانه معرفی شدنش رو نمیدونم! حتی اگه یونیسکس هم معرفی میشد باید گفت کفه ی ترازو بشدت به سمت مردونه بودن سنگینی خواهد کرد! یه کار خشک و کمی گرم، اما بسیار عمیق و اثر گذاره که حدود 8 ساعت موندگاری داره و پخش متوسطی داره. عطر یونیکی نیست؛ نمونه ی عمیق تر و شیک تر اون رو قبلا تست کردم که یه سر و گردن بالاتر از این کار قرار می گیره اما باید گفت که سنس ات بویس هم کار پر و پیمون و قابل قبولیه و طرفداران عطرای چوبی-اسپایسی خشک و خاص رو راضی خواهد کرد... کامنت: م.ع (سایت لوکس بایر (با امکان تست سمپل

UN PARFUM DES SENS ET BOIS could easily have been launched as a member of the Hermès JARDIN series. The dominant opening notes of this streamlined composition are, to my nose, cedar, ginger, and pepper. I smell zero violet and initially only a touch of incense, which however does become somewhat more marked over time, relative to the more dominant opening notes. This is a smooth, pleasing, and subtle fragrance which might well appeal to those who dislike the fruit notes in some members of the JARDIN series. Although I have nothing particularly against this fragrance, I also don't really find it all that compelling—perhaps it's a bit too understated for me? It's certainly fine, for what it is: a fairly linear, low-key, and slightly spicy woody scent.

Clean, yet warm and almost prickly, Sens et Bois reminds me of a sun-speckled forest floor of pine needles at the end of a lingering Indian Summer...just as autumn's smoky shiver sweeps the land. I can also imagine an old cedar box, secretly tucked away in my grandfather's attic, filled with half-forgotten family heirlooms and long-lost love letters. SB has a slightly sweet and woody coziness that borders on scratchiness. It's rather masculine in my opinion, and reminds me quite a bit of Tauer's L'Air du Desert Marocain. The overall composition is seamless and pretty static, which I feel gives it a kind of generic feeling. It is a comfortable yet polite scent that is not entirely unique or memorable.

Trying to figure out why I don't love this it's woody peppery something I normally love. Great fresh peppery start, but somehow it smells a little rubbery for me. Based on notes I would adore this but in reality just doesn't work. This is the blind buy that would have gone wrong. Good thing I have a sample :)

A nice concoction of clean cedarwood and peppery-incense with citrus hints on top that strikes as a more refined and smoother version of Gucci Rush For Men or Let Me Play The Lion. Not bad but nowhere close to justify the price tag. Close to the skin, average lasting power. Rating: 6.5/10

Too much pepper for me. Not the cracked pepper, but the finely ground stuff that I don't like. BUT.... The violet pops out in the middle to dry down. Almost a lil' too late for me. It just doesn't last long enough. *I really like this house tho! Nuit Magnetique is where its at.
