A Gourmand Escape

Sugary sweet with a smidge of depth from the tonka and benzoin. I kind of get vanilla cotton candy. As it sits on my skin, it gets buttery, like a shortbread cookie. BUT as I keep sniffing, I get whiffs of playdough. It's so slight-- one moment it's gone, but then it'll come back again. I’m happy though, I like the playdough smell 🫣🤭 Note: I learned that most if not all of Dua’s line are extrait de parfum which has a higher concentration of fragrance oils. Careful when applying to fabrics and patch test for skin sensitivity.

It’s good, don’t get me wrong but instantly I compared it to Matcha Latte (which smells nothing like matcha, by the way) by Atralia. ML is cheaper. I bought A Gourmand Escape secondhand. If I had paid $60 for this I would be pretty upset. I would say this is a little sweeter than Escapade Gourmand and it’s not as musky as EG, which I do like better. It’s undoubtably a delicious scent.

I wasn't that impressed with A Gourmand Escape at first, as it's so linear. Sometimes simple is good though! If you're looking for a super comforting, straight-forward vanilla scent, this is a good one. I definitely get the Play-Doh comparisons upon spraying, but that dissipates with wear in my experiences so far. It also lasts on my skin for quite awhile and sticks to clothing even longer. (My juice is golden in color, so I may have received one that's already had plenty of time to mature.) I also have Dua's Vanillac Dreams Gourmand Escape (please add it too, Fragrantica!), and the two are very similar. It's essentially A Gourmand Escape with amplified vanilla and the addition of musk. I like it even more. :)

I'm the guy that said he won't be buying it anymore because even though it's gorgeous, the performance is pretty bad. I'm on my 5th bottle now :( I can't stop. It's such an absolutely gorgeous scent. At this point I CAN'T STOPPP, like omg how can a perfume smell this good? It's freaking delightful ugh!! I still hate the performance though. I wish everyone smelled me because they would MELT of deliciousness. I basically just overspray and simply pray that people will smell me, which doesn't really happen, but I'm addicted to it. One thing though, since it's so close to the skin, it's perfect for having intimate moments with your partner :) I get compliments in those moments EVERY single time lol

I think it smells ridiculously gorgeous, it's absolutely fantastic. Sadly, just like the original perfume, it's super light. Not as light as the original, but you will definitely have almost zero projection. Too bad because damn it's so delicious. Longevity wasn't good either. Take in mind this is not a DUA that you can purchase for $23. This one is $60 without discount and $45 with discount. That's not cheap at all for 34ml. I've decided to keep it and use my full bottle because of how good it smells, but once it runs out I'm definitely not buying it again
