Blonde Tabacum

You'll be one swell hotsy-totsy dish sporting this new "vintage" classic. It is the perfect compliment to salmon lipstick and blue frosted eyeshadow! When you first spritz this beauty it arouses emotions of ecstasy you haven't felt since you danced the Charleston. The glorious cloud of pink carnations sheathed in wafts of dense Iris powder, dusted with hints of patchouli, dries down a luxurous aroma of charcoal and burnt caramel apples. The bee's knees truly spat out the cat's pajamas with this one. Pick some up today and make all your friends at the Canasta club jealous! In all seriousness, I have some vintage Tabac Blond by Caron, which is divine. This scent is touted as a "dupe" for the TB by Caron, it is not. It is an insult to that classic fragrance. Blonde Tabacum is a very strong burnt powdery floral scent that lingers for HOURS/DAYS. You cannot get rid of it so be cautious if spraying indoors. A splash bottle/dauber would be much more suitable packaging considering the intensity of this fragrance. Update, after 36 hours and 3 showers, the scent has remained on my skin. (It is easier to remove Eau de Skunk than this) however, it has mellowed to a very soft amber with a subtle hint of leather. Due to the industrial strength odor of this fragrance, it remains quite strong in my home.

First on, it smells like a vintage scent that has gone off. The aldehydes are shrill, the powder is edged with bitter bergamot and there’s a bug spray note. It warms up as it dries down and more clove appears and less of the citrus bite. Still not awesome and nothing at all like Tabac Blond. Full dry down is a soft, lightly powdery vintage gorgeousness that I really liked, but you have to wait for it. Overall, it's not a bad take on a vintage fragrance, but again, this in no way resembles Tabac Blond.
