Bois Precieux et Epices

BOIS PRÉCIEUX ET ÉPICES a Spice and Wood inspiration by DUA. Boy ohh boy, does this lives up to the hype! I remember paying $150.00 bucks for a 15 ml decant back in 13' of the original never reaching out again to it mainly because of the price per ml being simply out of my range. This is a true gem for man, a classy, upscaled and mature woody fragrance. As soon as you spray it you will get a heavy natural smell of Pepper combined with Clove and a strong note of woods which is composed of Birch and Cedar, as well on the opening you will get a slightly red apple and lemony (bergamot) accord similar to the one you will find in Avnentus(if you remove the pineapple and black currant) or as well close to Anonyme X/Clive X without the Cinnamon on top, which already lead you to think the level of fragrance we are talking about. After projecting way better than Spice and Wood for the first 1.5-2 hrs with a bigger scent bubble than the original( radius: 1-2feet depending on weather) and a beautiful trail, this magical masterpiece evolves in to a very musky and spicy wood fragrance. The oak moss and the musk add more masculinity in the dry down to an already masculine fragrance as well as that mysteriously musky feel about the Creeds. This scent is a classic signature scent and with a price of just $60.00(per 30ml) w/o any discount applied you could easily get 75ml for the equivalent of just 0.5 oz of Creed Spice and Wood. This scent will make you feel like a rich guy and will kick your mood up easily. Overall I seriously believe its pretty close to the original (93-95%) I feel the original is a little bit more pronounced with the apple and bergamot on top and as well a little bit smoother in the edges (better blended). But for the price this is a no brainer since it projects and lasts better. I would like to thank Mahsam again for giving us the chance of having the full experience of a $10 per ml bottle for just a fraction of the cost. Score: Longevity : 9/10 ( it's not a beast like other DUA's but still way better than the original) can easily get 10+ hours consistently. Projection: 9/10 This surprisingly seems to project better if you're around 68*-85* if its to hot or cold it seems to loose projection power. Scent:10/10 this Scent is Perfect to my nose! There's not much to say besides get a bottle now! Compliments: 8/10 have got a few compliments but since it a bit inoffensive/sage and projects closer to your skin in comparison to other DUA's it's hasn't detonated like Cuir de Milano, Casino Royale or Liquid Mind Control. Overall:9/10 this is a perfect Spring/Fall Scent and easily could be a signature scent for any Joe, as well any Joe will feel to be worth a million bucks and will have a self esteem and confodence boost

I ordered Dua's Nio clone (Matrix, Recoded version with amped bergamot) a few months ago (pretty close, and nice for hot days), afterwards I received an email saying I had won a gift card. I decided to get Bois Precieux et Epices with the gift card, based only on description of notes for this and Creed's Spice and Wood (after trying and loving Bois Mystique and looking for similar fragrances), and the few reviews I could find for this. I was pretty happy with Bois Precieux, but wondered if the original had more noticeable top notes, which I thought would make a good scent even better potentially. Today I tried out a direct-from-creed sample, and the answer, disappointingly, was no. Spice and Wood smells pretty much the same, only not nearly as potent as the Dua. So, @ $450 for the original ($180 an ounce per 2.5 oz bottle), if you can find it discounted; or @ $50 an ounce for the discounted Dua (per one ounce bottle - noticeably more potent, might last longer). It's a pretty easy choice to my non-expert nose. Some Creeds are worth the high prices (Viking, and Bois Du Portugal for me). Compared to this, Spice and Wood isn't IMO.

When I found out that Dua made a version inspired by Creed's Spice & Wood, I had to blind buy based on the reviews by some users on Youtube and internet forums. I'm glad I did! Fantastic! :) :) :) It smells very much like Spice & Woods.... huge money saver while getting a fairly close interpretation of Creed's luxurious scent. The only difference is that 5 to 10 percent magic that Creed weaves into its offerings through the freshness and natural uses of their ingredients along with their trademark secrets which make Spice & Wood attack your senses in a fresher lively way. But hey! I will definitely take Dua's take on the scent 9 times out of ten! If I were wealthy, I'd buy the Creed for that magic, but the Dua comes so very close that I'm perfectly happy with the offering. Thank you Dua! 2 thumbs up on one of my very favorite expensive scents from Creed! :) I love it!

I don't know what Dua have done with their quality control but older bottle was pretty decent, a little bit off from the OG and the spices were not quite right. This new bottle however is reaalllly close, it's a damn shame my 250ml flacon is superceded by a clone for 1/15th the price. My flabber has been gasted, this easily my favourite Dua.

I was gifted a half bottle of Creed Spice and Wood and fell in love with it. When I began to run out I went on a search for the best dupe. This is the best I found and I argue that the sillage and longevity beat out the OG. I got a compliment yesterday 6 hours after I applied. I wish you got more for the price, that’s my only complaint.
