Caramel Delight

This, a dupe of a nich-house perfume, this is purely exquisite. I've not smelled Lira by Xerjoff, but if this is even close, it's clear why Lira is so loved. Caramel Delight is warm and rich and soft and sexy and sensual. Not clubbing, but to the opera, an elegant date night, fine dining, an evening boat excursion with your beloved. It oozes romance and while it projects nicely, it's all the more romantically intimate (and welcoming) up close. Put this where you'd like to be kissed and let the fire ignite. It's pretty solidly unisex but it's lovingly soft. It does smell like caramel and there is a possible hint of a tobacco, but that could be the caramel, and it's offset by something so deliciously sweet that you want to eat it. It's projection is good but it's soft, romance and office friendly. But this is no boss lady perfume. This is what you put on to enjoy your own day at the office, or perhaps you're meeting someone special after you get off work. Caramel Delight vibes with Angelique Noire by Guerlain and Orchidee Vanille by Van Cleef & Arpels, but it is its own scent. It is a romantic perfume, a signature scent and softly alluring. This lasts a long time and since The Dua Brand makes it so affordable, do pick up a bottle. You'll be *so* glad you did. ;-) Update 12/27/23 - This perfume had a co-worker chasing me down asking what it was. He's a "fraghead" too but had never smelled anything like this. The trail is just gorgeous. The combo of bergamot and blood orange give it a wonderful zesty, gourmand scent and the sweet caramel comes in to tone in down to perfection. A must have in my collection forever, and DUA's brand also has great longevity and sillage. Still in love with this one.

Caramel Delight (inspired by Xerjoff Lira) was a blind buy for me, I have never tried lira- or really had much desire to. I just ordered approximately 15 bottles from dua, my first dua haul after falling in love with white milk. Caramel delight is hands down the best one out of all the ones I ordered, and currently- my favorite fragrance. This makes it surpass bianco latte, and narcotica happy dust; so you have an idea of my usual go-to scent profile. I’ve been on the search for spring/ summer perfumes because I’m a gourmand-fanatic and I feel like most fall/winter gourmands will be too heavy for mid-summer. Caramel delight is the PERFECT perfume to fill that spot. Upon first spray, I was not impressed. It’s very citrus/lemon-y, hufflepuff is the only lemon fragrance I’ve liked thus far (dapper’s version- I love a good dupe). But after about 10 minutes, it starts getting sweeter .. and I feel like it gets sweeter and sweeter; at dry down it’s a beautiful smooth caramel vanilla with the lemon very much so in the background. Truly a masterpiece, knowing what it develops into made me appreciate the citrus smell in the beginning more. A year-round-gourmand, and one of my all-time favorite fragrances at this point. I immediately went on Mercari and bought a back up bottle (dua was out of stock, by the time I received my order).

🍋 🧁 Smells the same as Lira but is stronger and cheaper. I am new to perfume and started with 10 samples from various niche houses, one of which was Lira, which I immediately loved. I did find myself putting my nose right to my skin in order to smell Lira though, so wanted to see if I could find something stronger. I found Caramel delight and bought an almost full bottle second-hand. Smells basically the same as Lira to me (if I had to pick out a difference, Lira dries down ever so slightly smoother, creamier and sweeter), but it's stronger and cheaper. I can often still smell it on me after I shower. Edit: I wore my Lira sample again, spraying more than usual, and I think it just ends up smoother and creamier because the citrus top notes disappear quicker than they do in Caramel Delight. I actually found it got too sweet by the end of the day, and much prefer that the citrus stays in Caramel Delight!

This is probably my favourite from Dua. IMO, it smells 100x better than Lira. The blood orange is amped up here and the overall fragrance is more vivacious and full bodied. Incredibly strong sillage and projection, overspraying (more than 5 sprays) could potentially make you nauseous. 2-4 sprays gave me 6+ hours of consistent projection and medium to strong sillage. I would never pay for Lira after discovering this. This is my favourite winter time perfume because it effortlessly cuts through the cold and LASTS. Side note: I really hope Dua releases an Armani Code Ultimate Femme or OG Armani Code inspiration.. I love the way Dua does citrus gourmands, the perfect balance of freshness and sweetness without becoming overbearing.

Caramel Delight is the Dua inspired expression of Xerjoff Lira, capturing its lovely citrus/vanilla/lemon essence. It’s sweet, fresh, and midway between a light summer gourmand and a heavier winter gourmand, really filling that year-round-gourmand space, well-rounded by the additional of florals (lavender, jasmine) and spices (cinnamon, licorice), but the caramel/blood orange/vanilla combination tells much of the story, and it’s straightforwardly a very lovely mix, one of my all-time favorite inspired expressions. It’s currently out of stock on the Dua Brand website but hopefully will be back at some point—it’s a gem! 8 out of 10

To me, the most notable difference between CD and Lira is that it is richer and deeper than Lira. Lira is smoother, lighter, not as robust. Caramel Delight has great sillage and it delicious, but can be overdone if one isn't careful. It layers super well with B&BW Iced Lemon Pound Cake. The bergamot comes off really lemony, but something about it is more delicious and interesting than your typical lemon scent, keeping it from going Pledge or lemon-scented cleaner. Upon dry-down, it is 97% Lira, imo. And it is soooooo good. One of my top five fragrances in my collection.

Wow I’m so impressed, I do get the reference to Dior Addict but it’s a soft whisper and Lira but stronger and longer lasting. This is absolutely gorgeous and not foody like I thought it might be. I love it though! Also, the longevity and projection is insane which is where I always draw the line. So inexpensive, beautiful composition and great quality. What’s not to love?

This smells absolutely delicious! To my nose it smells like a lemon pound cake with a caramel drizzle. I get lemon (blood orange), vanilla, caramel, and a dash of cinnamon which warms it all up. A 100% love for me. Dua is great for longevity and sillage is moderate on my skin.. A great citrus gourmand. Very edible smelling. 10/10

Decent Lira dupe. It’s oily (makes me afraid to spray on clothing) and does not last long. Wish the dry down were a bit lighter and more sweet. It’s 80% Lira - almost there but leaves something to be desired! Have quickly made a dent in this as I’ve been using it daily, but need to reapply liberally throughout the day.

This is fantastic. I can smell the notes better than with Lira, especially the blood orange and lavender. It’s definitely fbw for me.

I bought this a few years ago after smelling a sample of Lira. I don’t have Lira money but was hoping I could find a decent enough dupe. I did some research and at the time this was one of the top BUDGET dupes on the market so I bought it and I was really disappointed at first. The citrus notes were so sharp, it was unbearably sharp. People around me did not appreciate this one when I first bought it. I played around with the amount I wore to see if that would help and even with just 1-2 sprays and layering with a vanilla forward lotion to sweeten this up, it wasn’t working. I set it aside to let this macerate for 2 whole years I truly forgot about it! The juice has gotten so dark I almost assumed it had turned on me but when I spritzed it on it wasn’t sharp at all but still very deep and robust. As it progresses I can smell the Lira DNA and while I can tell its a good take on Lira, it smells like a more masculine version of Lira. Plus I can smell it on the clothes inside my hamper and on skin the next day after spritzing it on the previous morning! Definitely beast mode. I do like it better now and can appreciate it for what it is but there’s more dupes on the market at this time that I’d love to try because I’d like something closer and truer to Lira’s scent. Don’t get me wrong I love unisex scents but what I like about Lira is the heavenly vanilla caramel lemon cake sweetness, that’s what I’m looking for in a Lira dupe. This is great though but more masculine than I’d like in terms of Lira. My brother seems to appreciate this a lot more now as well and he’s started to use it! DUA perfumes are nice in terms of longevity and price point, but I have to admit every DUA I’ve ever purchased has needed an insane amount of maceration time until it became tolerable for my nose and well for those around me as well, if I’m being honest, which is unfortunate.

I don't think it smells cheap, but the lavender and bergamot render it slightly on the masculine and spicy side on me, also due to the cinnamon and not in a way that I like, but resembling men's cologne a bit. I guess it's what makes it unisex. The blood orange and generally sugared orange notes are not my favorite as they have an oriental feel to them, so not crazy about that either and of course it doesn't smell like Devotion at all. The licorice makes it perfume-y and with the cinnamon it becomes a warm sugared spicy scent. It's good for men who like sweet gourmands that have a masculine feel. It lasts long and projects great. I will keep using it because I do like sugared fruity scents. It does not smell like Armani Code to me btw, but I guess it's in the same league.

not as floral forward as lira but close! A++ for effort cuz lira is really expensive for what it is imo

I can not compare it with Lila since I dont have it but I like this scent. It is a really realistic gourmand and I enjoy smelling like Lemony caramelish cupcake scent. Also staying power is quite impressive as well.

Disappointing. To me, this doesn't smell like Lira. The opening is harsh and unpleasant. The dry down is okay. The citrus comes through stronger and the caramel smells very artificial. And it's just strong citrus and caramel to me, none of the other notes that make Lira so delicious and delicate. It doesn't have the creaminess or floral qualities of Lira and I don't get the hint of cake that I love in Lira. If it wasn't marketed as a Lira dupe I would just regard this as a cheap smelling citrus caramel fragrance, but as a dupe it's a real disappointment.

i dont understand this review below me who has literally gone to every DUA fragrance on here and wrote the same bad review LOL. Dude, i am just a normal consumer and i have a few bottles from this brand and they are in no way a scam. They are strong and long lasting and not to mention spot on 95% of the time. I love my lira interpretation and would buy more. I will say this however. I have never bought directly from their website, all my bottles are gently used from Mercari. At least that way you know others have tried them and they are not a bad batch and you can ask questions. Not to mention they sell for almost half price for being sprayed once or twice. Also I bought one dua interpretation of oud satin mood by mfk and that one was a bust- like it smelled similar but nasty. Anyways... i wouldnt pay $60 for a 30 ml bottle for sure, always go pre-loved.

If you’re looking for a good dupe of xerjoff’s lira, this will not disappoint. As with any dupe, it’s not going to be 100% on point. But this is certainly at least 80%. It’s not as complex, but still gives you all the citrusy, floral, gourmand goodness. The great thing about this is it lasts LONGER than the OG. I have Lira and was able to compare side by side. Caramel delight projects more and lasts longer. Certainly an affordable alternative to this yummy scent !

I recently fell in love with the Xerjoff brand. I sampled Lira and then ordered a bottle. I also ordered Dua Caramel Delight. I'm pleasantly shocked at how identical they smell. My Dua still has to macerate, but upon initial testing it really is a dupe for Lira...complete beast mode as well! I will be using both Dua and Xerjoff .

As mentioned in my Lira review, if you like a citrus-forward version with faint caramel/lavender in the background, then this Dua dupe will be up your street. But if (like me) you like a more caramel-forward version with citrus/lavender in the background, then go for the Oakcha dupe called Italian Cello.

This is a good scent but very different than your normal caramel scented perfume. It's almost lemony and citrusy when it Is first applied, it does end up being a caramel sweet gore monde sent but not heavily cloying or artificially sweet in anyway
