Caramelized Stone

An absolutely stunning coconut vanilla scent with a kiss of peach blossom. This isn’t a floral like the notes would suggest. This is coconut first, then vanilla and then a hint of something that freshens it which is the peach blossom. Stunning. I have 5 bottles maturing at the moment because I never want to be without it. Do yourself a favor and spray it once when you get it then put it back in the box and let it mature a minimum of 4 weeks. The strength and sillage will blow your mind!

This smells so good. Caramel note stands out the most. I recently got a decant of Bianco Latte and was super underwhelmed. This is a stronger version of that. No floral notes detected at all. FB worthy!

It's a play-doh type of vanilla, not almond nutty marzipan play doh, but kinda plastic-y and milky like the sweet smelling Barbie dolls of the 90s due to the caramel here just as in JPG Scandal le Parfum. It's the magic of the caramel paired with vanilla apparently while the coconut note adds to the milky vibe. I also detected a familiar very warm vanilla scent, that of BBW Whipped Vanilla Chiffon, minus the Fake-bake self tanner scent of that one, but they are both caramel-sweet, warm and subtly floral. My nose once again did not trick me as both have peach blossom. So peach blossom is the culprit behind that particularly warm sweet vanilla smell which is the signature scent of Whipped Vanilla Chiffon which has spun sugar instead of caramel. Caramelized Stone has a warm side to it, but also a lactonic vibe too, so it's not super cozy and warm to me. The peach blossom renders it slightly powdery along with the coconut at the drydown, more evident at that later stage giving it a summery feel. Back to the caramel. In Scandal le Parfum the jasmine - caramel mimic the rich play doh scent of almond, but I can tell it ain't almond I am smelling, similar to the more subtle play doh effect in DUA's Caramelized Stone where the caramel creates an almond-free plastic-y vanilla scent also due to the coconut, not as almond-like as in Scandal Le Parfum; So caramel with vanilla does wonders with or without almond, producing a lactonic plastic scent or a scent similar to marzipan, and it amplifies the almond notes too, as in Police Forbidden. I find this scent ideal for winter or summer because of the coconut which makes it milky - not a super tropical coconut but noticeable, it adds a powdery freshness. Dua's Caramelized Stone is a different scent from Scandal le Parfum, more of a crude vanilla smell with some syrupy undertone from the caramelized aspect, more intense at first but which lasts as long as the whole fragrance on me which is many many hours. The caramel in Scandal Le Parfum is smoother more buttery golden, without a smoky burnt nuance. I cannot wear Whipped Vanilla Chiffon often because it smells like the Fake-bake self tan product, but this is much better. I think Nebras Elixir is a cousin to this btw. I love both.

Don’t waste your money. Not worth $60. Smells like all the other BL dupes, but Eclaire and Cream Velvet are better and cheaper. Has that plastic, rubber, play doh under tone that they all do, though. Not blind buy safe. Luckily, I got a deal on this and 2 other travel size. I’d be mad if I spent more than $20 on this.
