Celsius

Recently purchased this as I am a huge Fahrenheit Fanboi (I have ever flanker in the line and have invested a dumb amount of money in chasing down vintage bottles of the EDT ~ 1991, 1996, 2001, 2007, 2012, 2014 and the latest reform 2022). Celsius is very close to my oldest, 1991, bottle... yes Dua is heavy handed and doesn't have the blending of Dior but the notes are there but more importantly -- it's very close to the OG, is beast mode and by comparison to vintage cheap as shit price wise. Worth noting, if what you love about Dior Fahrenheit is the "gasoline" opening you're going to be very pleased with Celsius. Also, if you do purchase it spray it about five to six times and then tuck it into a dark closet for about a month or two letting it sit and settle. From my understanding Dua makes each order before shipment so some Closet Time really helps it bloom and macerate.

I still have the original from 1991 (the splash bottle) and I would say that it is about 90-95% close to the '91 version. The only difference is the intensity and the richness. During the summer of 91 I got hold of a free sample from a fashion magazine. What I experienced was crazy. I needed 3 zip lock bags to contain the scent. It was incredibly strong, filling up my room to the horror of my parents for weeks. I would imagine that intensity was due to the use of certain chemicals that are restricted today. Shortly thereafter, I bought the whole bottle. The DUA version is a good representation and it is obvious they did their homework on the original formula. If you remember/liked the vintage version I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. Also give the DUA some time to mature as the scent did change slightly after a few months.

Very decent clone of Fahrenheit, and absolutely better than the current formulation of Fahrenheit. Opening reminds me of the OG bottles of Fahrenheit : a blast of spicy petrol accord. Dries down to a ozonic/petrol leather scent with spiciness and a hint of powderiness in the back. If you smell ''Celsius'' and ''Fahrenheit'' side by side you will notice some minor differences, but in the air, almost identical. Longevity is about 5-6h, but i will let the juice macerate. Worth trying if you love the OG Fahrenheit.

My new bottle was pumped/aerated and left in the dark for almost 2 months. It absolutely resembles the current Dior, and fairly closely, but Celsius is drier with the leather coming across as more woody. I have a recent bottle of Fahrenheit from about 2 years ago. It's a bit brighter, slightly richer, more complex, and it reads as a bit sweet (just a bit). There's nothing remotely sweet about Celsius BUT there is a depth to it involving the violets which the current Dior lacks--and yes, in Celsius it's more interpretable as gasoline. Projection doesn't seem the best and longevity isn't great. But OTOH, because it resembles an aftershave version of Fahrenheit, this *might* be useful for warm/hot weather when you want Fahrenheit but avoid the original (still, don't go nuts with it). I'll give it more time. If it improves, I'll update because fair is fair. For now... Is Dua CELSIUS unwearable? Not at all. Disappointing? Slightly. Even more aggravating, some claim there are inconsistencies depending on the batch. Is it an adequate substitute for Fahrenheit? My bottle is close to being just that but then I don't have vintage Fahrenheit to go by. I know some say it nails the original but I can't say. It's pretty close to the current stuff. In terms of longevity, there's no question that Dior beats it. Is it worth getting? Maybe...IF you can get it on sale for considerably less per ounce than the Dior, IF you accept that it may not be exact, and IF you're aware that it won't last as long on skin. Otherwise, stick with Dior because the differences aren't all that big.

Everyone below me has it right. Celsius smells fucking good. It starts off alittle ruff, from the original but give it 15mins or so and it's almost a one to one. If I'm being completely frank, I think this is better than my 2015 Fahrenheit bottle, last longer as well. Spend $33 dollars on a DUA dupe or $130+ for a 50ml vintage? Do what you want, it's your money but I highly recommend checking out DUAs version and saving some money. It's that good.
