Chilling By The Pacific

Chilling By The Pacific by Dua and Mancera Lemon Line are my two favourite fragrances to wear when I play tennis or pickleball. I play 3-4 times a week so these get a lot of wear. Chilling By The Pacific definitely has a lot of Pacific Chill dna but your mileage may vary on whether it is 70, 80, 90% of it. I personally don't care. I try to judge every fragrance on its own merit and decide if I want to wear it. Chilling By The Pacific stands on its own as a great fresh fragrance that reacts well to body chemistry as it heats up. There's a little bit of mojito / gin and tonic vibe in this off my skin. I actually think it's quite comical that some people throw shade on a company like Dua that don't just create direct 'dupes' but also unique remixes of fragrances. In music, we call these people DJs who take music they didn't originally create and remix it, they sell tickets to shows, they are treated like stars and people love them. But in the fragrance world, 'DJ / remix' companies are hated on. C'mon fragrance lovers, stop hating and simply judge a fragrance like you would music. I've tried quite a few Dua fragrances, some of them I love, some of them I don't. And that's no different than Xerjoff, Dior, Creed or whatever. Chilling By The Pacific is one of my favourites from Dua. If you haven't tried it, you should.

I own 14 Dua fragrances and this is one of my favorites. It’s a dead ringer for Louis Vuitton Pacific Chill, which I’ve worn out of the department store twice, but this one is longer lasting. The best thing about this fragrance IMO is the drydown. It’s amazing. A booming white musk that is everywhere and nowhere at once. I indicated this fragrance is unisex, but I think it can lean slightly more feminine—definitely NOT overtly. In my own head I’m notorious for saying every fragrance is all-season, day and night. I think most people would say this is a daytime warm weather fragrance, but the booming base makes me want to wear it always. I fu3king crave this fragrance. My wife says I smell like candy when I wear it, but it’s not very sweet. I don’t like sweet fragrances on me. This is slightly green, slightly minty, slightly sweet, fresh—I would spray it on cereal if that was a thing. I feel like a fool every time I wear it because of the absolute monstrosity of the everywhere-nowhere base. I catch fleeting whiffs of it and I’m always like, “what is that scent?” in my head, and it’s always me. You can be like me too if you wear it. Do it.

To me, Chilling By The Pacific basically smells like a smoother, more natural alternative to Paris Hilton for Men. It at least sort of fills the same role and has a similar vibe. It is of better quality for sure, though, and is superior enough that I finally decided to buy a full bottle of it instead of just sticking with Paris Hilton for Men. By the way: This review is after letting it sit in the dark for three or four months following a few initial sprays. It definitely did get smoother, stronger, and longer-lasting after doing this.

Having both this Dua version and the LV original, this one doesn't smellas refined or high quality, but the mint is dialed back just a bit from the OG and it's all the better for it. The LV version is a bit fleeting on skin after a couple hours but this Dua version goes strong on my skin for HOURS. Seriously, I am still getting whiffs of it in the air 6-7 hours later. I experience this one as more rounded than the OG but they are 95% the same, otherwise. A wonderful option to the pricey LV version (maybe better).

I have this one and I absolutely love it. It's a better version than Pacific Chill and much more worth the money. It lasts on me (skin & clothes) about 8-10hrs. Vibes are minty, fresh, tropical, aromatic, aquatic, fruity, uplifting, energetic, and radiant. Kind of has a mojito/margarita vibe to it. The atomizer is absolutely stunning, it's a pressurized atomizer. I say it's about 90-95% close to Pacific Chill, which I've worn twice here in California and in NYC.

Just finished my sample and absolutely love this. Never smelled the OG and have no need to. This is a bit fem leaning as mentioned before but not super dramatic. I would say 60/40 fem so in the same lines as Creed VIW. Very citrus dominated but also has some floral notes and mint. It's a pick me up daily driver type of scent for the warmer months that def gets compliments as projection is strong for 3-4 hours.

I haven’t tried the original but this dupe is a winner on its own merits. This is so good 😊 long lasting and performs really well. Probably the most fascinating citrus dominant fragrance I ever put my nose on. Best for spring and summer and a bang for your buck. I can’t say anything negative about this dupe. Try it 👍 10/10 🙌

Great dupe. Last significantly longer and projects like 1.5 feet Idky so many people hate on the dua brand. I get that something it’s a hit and miss but this is a HIT 90% similar to the original, the only difference is that for some reason dua smells like a denser, watery & more apricot which I prefer though

I need a larger bottle of this stuff. It’s a wonderful freshie – notes of tangy fruit painted along a backdrop of a glittering sunrise. Decent wear time of 8 hours on me. Good juice! It’s one of my favorite summer scents.

I have this and the original. Dua did a very good job increasing the longevity up to 8h and projection is also off the charts. Just obviously doesn’t smell as high-quality as the original but dua it’s still high-quality

Spot on dupe for lv pacific chill but lasts way longer as its an extrait. Great value! Pretty linear on me but I dont mind that. I will definitely be checking out more from this brand.

This smells much better at a distance than up close on my skin. I can pinpoint each of the notes and the phases they’re going through but also how well they blend together. Up close, however, I don’t get the nicely blended notes but a very sharp citron and ambrette. I think it’s fantastic as long as I only spray from the waist down.

Smells like the ocean. Sometimes I really like it, other days it’s just okay. Lasts pretty long though. It’s similar to pacific chill. Die down is definitely the best part.

Dua's Chillin' by The Pacific is 95% similar to LV's Pacific Chill, without the fixative odor typical of other clones.

Fake fake fake comments fake perfum nothing like the original I bought this perfum nottttthing like the original barley last 30 minutes on clothes and skin Opening have melon acent then changes to extremely cheap powdery scent do not fall for those fake comments !! Beware of this cheap rip off fake brand

I just have to comment on AceWilson's comment regarding DJ's. I thoroughly enjoy DUA and some of their "remixes". But personally I loathe DJ'S. As a song writer who sells music and plays multiple instruments, I can confidently tell You that real musicians want to vomit everytime they hear someone extol the creative forces of DJ'S. Its tough, i have good friends who are DJ's. My supervisor is a locally famous DJ. (My disgust of DJ's predates the supervisor and the vast majority of DJ friends). So, just folks who may be curious know, real musicians view DJ's as people who's popularity draws a crowd but they have no skills or talent of their own so they co-op talent and DJ. Go ahead DJ's tell me how much more creative You are than me. Im sure You'll convince me with Your vast library of original songs. Drunk on their social scene they get their popularity with high school girls conflated with any actual value that would draw anyone with any knowledge of music. Its all ego, its a cult of personality, its not music. With that said, everyone has tastes. Some like fresh caught Salmon, and some like cod anus fish sticks. To each their own. Anyway, One Love! Lol. Really though, love all my DJ's out there, I encourage You to pick up a keyboard. I see Your Soul in there so get an instrument and let it sing! Edit: I suppose I'll actually leave a review of the scent. A lot of the DUA scents have a softness or soundness to the profile, like all the oils used have a creamy aspect. It works for many of the perfumes, but for certain fragrances that rely on a really crisp profile DUA can sometimes be lacking. I found that to be the case with this one. I was hoping the minty mojito would be cooler and crisper. Still, im giving this 4/5 and wearing it a couple times a week.

Ok people, if you want to just dump on products without a description of what your experience is mixed with your personal chemistry, don’t bother with a review. If your experience is bad, understand it could be you or your sense of smell that is clashing with the product. This is chemistry and genetics at work here. As for products that are “dupes,” virtually everything is copied to some degree from other things. Imitation is after all, the highest form of flattery! I personally have over 100 Dua fragrances and I can honestly say I don’t not love them all mixed with my chemistry. Some I love, some I like only on other people, and some I don’t like at all. What I can say though is Dua makes fragrances that are of a higher concentration of fragrance oils so they evaporate differently than the commonly found EDP or EDT. They are more like a parfum concentration, which I prefer. I have found many fragrances of other brands I like that evaporate too quickly and have purchased the Dua version and loved it because I enjoyed the note profile and longer, more subtle evolution. If you don’t like a product or line, that’s fine. We all have our opinions. At least try to use your review to describe objectively what the issue is related to the fragrance, your chemistry, and olfactory preferences. Dumping negativity on things because you can just makes you appear ignorant. Save that stuff for the political websites!

I really like LV Pacific Chill but a full bottle it's a bit out of my price range so I bought DUA's Chilling by the Pacific. The DUA version is wearable, I've used it, I like it. But, there's something about it that's heavier than the original LV fragrance. The original LV is a fresh, easy to wear scent that I can spray on anytime without a second thought. The DUA version doesn't have that quality to it. This might be a case where DUA's high concentration works against it. It's too heavy, and lacking the easy-to-wear freshness of the original. If I had gotten the chance to smell it before purchasing it, I would not have bought it.

The mint and yuzu are way to amped up and last far longer than the og. Gives off a urine smell. Alexandria makes a much better dupe.

Difficult to assess the credibility of these reviews. The war between DUA fanboys and haters is evident.
