Coconut Milk

Looking at the notes, you'd never guess how relatively light and refreshing this is. The bergamot top note seems to linger a long time, transforming the coconut milk accord into something akin to, if not quite a "freshie," a distinct non-gourmand. It has a powdery, slightly woody quality to it that must be coming from the praline or vanilla, but it resembles sandalwood somewhat, making this slightly Guerlain-like, although it is the Guerlain of the Aqua Allegoria line and not a classic Guerlinade base. Allegedly, Coconut Milk is said to be a dupe or an impression of Lait de Coco, an inexpensive juice that I have yet to smell. The Fragrantica reviews I read for that one suggest it smells great but has subpar longevity, so I would speculate that Dua set out to make a better-performing extrait version. I'd call it a success: the longevity isn't as insane as it is for, say, Cocoliciious, but it's more than acceptable. It's not very loud at any stage of its development, but it sticks around, and it's uniformly pleasant to my nose.

This smells like a white bar of coconut soap. But as someone who prefers shampoo to soap fragrances, it is not soapy. It also has a peppery note that comes out slightly added to the fresh spicy accord. Again, I do not like pepper in my fragrance, but love it here. So for someone who is very picky about coconut, doesn’t like soapy or peppery scents, I should not but really enjoy this. I layer over coconut body wash and lotion to help it project, but no complaints on performance for such an airy fragrance.

It actually smells good and has a good projection, but I think it's a bit.. idk, "scratchy". I don't know how to describe it. Too sharp. Wish it was a lot lot lot creamier. I even tried to mix it with bianco latte to make it milkier or creamier and it wouldn't work. I should have tried layering it with other perfumes, but I simply decluttered it. Also it's a super synthetic coconut btw
