Dolce Vita

I've had this frag and I can tell you that it's smells extremely close to Dulcis in Fundo. The performance is outstanding. Orange and vanilla cream is basically what you get.

I've always wanted to add Dulcis in Fundo, with its five-star Creamsicle deliciousness, to my perfume rotation. Two things have prevented me from purchasing a full bottle of it: its high price point, and also it doesn’t last long enough on my skin. I recently discovered Dua Brands, and saw they offered a dupe of Dulcis in Fundo called Dolce Vita. The reviews were uniformly positive, saying it was a great and long-lasting dupe for Dulcis for a much lower price. As soon as it went on sale, I placed an order for it. I have a sample dab of Dulcis in Fundo on my right wrist, and Dua’s Dolce Vita on my left. The Dulcis has a more pronounced, bright orange top note. It is also not as sweet. Dolce Vita wins for intensity- it is projecting like crazy, while Dulcis is whispering hello. I made sure to apply the two fragrances in equal amounts. One thing is clear: the Dua scent does not smell like Dulcis in Fundo. Dolce Vita is, to me, not so much a dupe of Dulcis in Fundo as it is a very close dupe of Comptoir Sud Pacifique’s Vanille Abricot. It also has a kinship to Montale’s Sweet Vanilla. Of all of these, Dolce Vita resembles Vanille Abricot the most. Then Sweet Vanilla. And then- Dulcis in Fundo. I’ve never tried a Dua fragrance before. Evidently, they need to sit awhile before they come into their own. The Dolce Vita arrived about two weeks ago. I've noticed, though it is nowhere near heat or a light source, that the fragrance’s color has darkened noticeably. The scent has not been adversely affected by this change. It’s actually gotten richer, deeper, and nicer. But it is still a very close (stronger and longer-lasting) dupe of Vanille Abricot- not of Dulcis in Fundo. So, maybe the Dolce Vita just needs some time to macerate a bit. I do quite like it, as I used to wear Vanille Abricot, and I don’t regret purchasing it. It just turned out not to be what it was supposed to be. But- who knows? In six months, it may be a perfect dupe of Dulcis in Fundo.

Obviously Dulcis is better but who can afford it? I love creamsicle scents. Just let Duas macerate for a month before you try it

I was looking for an orange creamscicle fragrance and this is ok. It is very quite and sits close to the skin--even after maceration. The citruses aren't fresh but candied and the vanilla is the same vanilla in Nishane Ani--like whipped vanilla frosting. Overall, very sweet so it might be best that the projection isn't crazy. Can't say I'm inspired to reach for it often but it is certainly a more affordable alternative to what it imitates which, from reviews, has similar performance.

Just get Demeter Orange Cream Pop...this is not good, save your money. I am so over Dua Brand. They aren't getting another dime from me. Every fragrance I have ever purchased from them has been such a big disappointment. js

Lmaoooo this puts the sic in orange creamsicle. I was expecting orange cream and got a sharp orange scented marker with heavy orange blossom. Great performance though bc it stayed in my nostrils all day.

Croissant? Idk about that. The dry down smells exactly like Montale Sweet Vanilla. Longevity is eternal.
