Dreamy Elixir

Such an excellent dupe of Cassili by Parfums de Marly. She's so well rounded and sweet, but not cloyingly sweet. The very subtle presence of notes like plum and mimosa are wonderful as part of the supporting cast to keep this overall scent from becoming too vanilla or too floral. It's just such a gorgeous composition. And the thing about The DUA Brand is all of their bottles are extrait (I own 30+ bottles), so they are stronger than the original and last longer, which means you don't need as many sprays per wear. So obviously, their 1oz bottles last longer for you to enjoy. Dreamy Elixir is definitely a more feminine fragrance to my nose, but we all can rock whatever we like these days, and should. So if these notes interest you, it's a great purchase! Not mention the insane savings with the DUA version. A 1oz bottle of Cassili by PdM is $190 US; a 1oz bottle of Dreamy Elixir by DUA is $55 US. And DUA frequently has fantastic sales of 30% off, so that brings a bottle of Dreamy Elixir down to $38.50! Seriously, run, don't walk! Get it! And I have zero affiliation with the brand. Just a true fan of what this house is doing.

I agree I smell peach which is a note I’m not always a fan of. It often smells rancid on my skin. I also get a sour currant mixed with sharp white florals and a strong, mature rose. I own and love Sunset Fantasy. I get no resemblance to that. That is juicy, bright and fresh. Dreamy Elixir is ripe and dusty with a slight finger nail polish remover vibe in the opening. That made me think there was patchouli in it. It does kind of remind me of Guidance though and it’s dupes. With the creaminess, sandalwood and peach. The dry down is better, but I’m still not sold on it being dreamy. Sad because I’ve been eyeing this one for at least 2 years so when I saw it on Mecari, I jumped on it. I’m wondering if my travel size is old and off or if it needs to mature. I’ll revisit in a couple mos and hopefully it will become a Dreamy Elixir....

Haven't smelled the original. To me, this is nice. Fruity, fresh and clean. Yet, it's somewhat linear? This is one of those perfumes that just reminds me of a really nice shampoo. It's fine, but definitely nothing mind-blowing going on here.

Ive never smelled the original. This though... is ridiculously yummy... the name fits... totally dreamy. This would be an absolute favorite of mine if it stayed that way. I so wanted it to be. But, its not long lasting. Almost not even worth spraying, because after that initial blast of creamy fruit on steroids, its fades away to nothing but tart tinny peach with almost no sweetness...and the creaminess is also gone with the wind. The scent that lingers is close to skin, faint, terribly cheap, and almost unrecognizable compared to how it starts off. All this did for me was make me crave a longer lasting shower fresh/ shampoo/conditioner type fragrance. Therefore, I blame Dreamy Elixir for my impulse purchases of both Live Lux and Delilah. (They have nothing in common with Dreamy Elixir except that both are reportedly delicious, shower fresh, and both are cheap as hell, but hopefully... with better longevity) UPDATE: So i sprayed this on a napkin and kept the napkin by my bedside to see how long it projected. Ive gotta say, its still strong as hell the next morning, and it projected all night. So now i know that if i spray this on my clothes (especially cotton) it will project like mad for at least 8 hours.

The juiciest most beautiful peach sitting on top of fresh homemade vanilla bean ice cream. So odd there is no peach in this. This is soooooo yummy and exactly what I’ve been wanting. I smelled Cassili by PDM a couple years ago and it always stuck with me. Dreamy Elixir is very similar although I feel it lacks those sharp floral notes in Cassili. Another amazing fragrance this reminds me of is Sunset Fantasy by Britney Spears which has unfortunately been discontinued. Dreamy Elixir is a brighter rendition of Sunset Fantasy for sure. This is a love love love for me and I look forward to buying many more bottles. Edit: I ended up realizing that this was drying down super powdery on my skin. It almost became a scrubber for me just because of that. However I started spraying this only on my clothes and have found that to be the key for keeping the scent perfect

Oh boy this is just exactly like Casilli by PDM.it’s creamy and so beautiful I have to say I don’t think I’ll be getting the Casilli one is this is exactly a dupe for it. I’ll come back and today on sillage and longevity of the fragrance. But so far I absolutely love the fact that I don’t have to fork out £210 on the Casilli. Update So wore this to work and it didn’t project as I like my perfume to project. Got compliments as it’s a crowd pleasing fragrance. I’ll say it project for around 2-3 hrs and then it become a skin scent. I would recommend if you are on a budget but still want that Casilli floral smell. I am enjoying it so far and I don’t think I need to get Casilli for now.

I’ve had decants of Casili from PDM and this literally smells the exact same. Usually with dupes I can spot the differences but this really does smell identical to Casili. Sexy, creamy, dreamy, plumy, fruity, fragrance ❤️
