Dua Formula 006

This smells perfectly blended plum, spice and booze with a touch of woodiness/smokiness, probably the vetiver. The booze is not overpowering but it's noticeable. It's a warm and cozy scent with the deep warm plum lasting throughout the life of the scent. The booziness backs off about 4 hrs or so into the fragrance but it's still there moderately. It lasts a full 8 hr work day on my skin plus some, I catch whiffs of it all day. It's not not 100% like the og Plum & Cognac by Scents of Wood (maybe 80 to 90%) but that's actually a good thing for me because the og's plum booziness dies off too quickly on my skin, like 30 mins. I actually like the fermented booozy plum smell. Also the og fully dries down after an hour or so to a warm, pretty standard smoky vanilla scent with a touch of vetiver and hardly no plum or booze. The Dua dupe only changes slightly, it starts off very boozy for about an hour, but it's mostly linear warm plummy scent with a touch of booze and smoky vetiver after full drydown in about 4 hrs. and lasting 8 plus hrs. i dont smell dominant vanilla, overall a more interesting scent than Plum & Cognac. I don't mind linear if its a pleasant scent, which this is.

Warm cozy and comforting cold weather scent. I never smelled the OG but this smells great and lasts forever. Heavy on the cinnamon on my skin but all notes are easily detected except vetiver which is fine in my book. Plummy sweet and spicy without being an over the top gourmand. Both sexes should find this easy to wear and enjoy.

Testing them side by side, this smells nothing like plum in cognac on the initial blast. It smells nice but PIC has a very raw geeen earthy woody smell up close from the Peru balsam, immortelle & osmanthus that this dua clone lacks. This doesn’t smell terrible, but it’s very overly synthetically sweet and there’s some sort of strange burnt plastic smell on initial blast. Once it settles after 20-30 mins, it starts calming down and you get a nice boozy cinnamon vanilla & plum scent that slightly resembles the original, but this one is very heavy synthetic syrup smelling. I’ll give dua this, their bottles and sprayers are very nice. It’s a very cool pressurized atomizer. I was very curious about dua and ended up getting this 36% off on the 4th of July sale so it came out to around $40 but needless to say, this will be the first and last dua I ever purchase. Their shipping is absolutely atrocious. I live in LA where they’re located and it took them almost 2 weeks to ship it. It seems like the owner Mahsam needs to hire better or more shipping packers & distributers because it’s a joke.
