Exceptional Dance Of Dragonflies

For the curious: I have worn both the DUA version and the OG side by side. They are gloriously IDENTICAL. As for my review... Right out of the bottle, she’s sweet (and a hint tart) red apple, but in a warm way. Not an overly crisp, cold apple, but more like an apple that’s just been cut into after sitting on the counter and resting at room temperature. There’s a light creaminess to the apple at this opening stage, as well (vanilla). It must be the bergamot that twists in at the opening to weave a brightness into the sweetness that just...it creates such a waft of specialness. Can’t describe it better than this. The apple and bergamot continue to dance together as the minutes tick by, truly melding into one another to create a scent all its own; a sweet brightness that forces you to keep sniffing your arm. It’s non stop! The vanilla introduces a creaminess from the first spritz, and it continues to develop at each stage. That vanilla is a mainstay and is detectable, at varying levels, throughout the duration of the fragrance, which for me is about 8 hours. The cinnamon is very subtle, but adds to the overall dimension of the scent. But it’s the cedar, I think, that really grounds it and makes is something a bit different. Lastly, the cacao enters and this almost dusty chocolate is what I detect in the waning hours of wear. Both DUA and Fragrantica list it as a coconut note, but this is a mistake. It actually should say cacao, not coconut. A look at the OG on the Nobile 1942 website confirms this. The overall composition of this fragrance is sweet, creamy, dreamy, slightly bright. She’s like nothing else I’ve ever smelled. I’m completely and totally taken by this one. 🦋

So many DUA haters, trying to sound cool and different, yet they're on here reviewing a DUA fragrance. Make it make sense. DUA has a lot of gems in their 2k fragrance arsenal. How many have you actually tried to be able to give the review of "they're all synthetic"? Have you tried every single one? No? Didn't think so. So sit down, review the fragrance, and be quiet about the brand. They put out affordable options and there's nothing wrong w that. No one is forcing you to buy from them lol. Moving on....this is a good one. Another hidden gem by DUA. What a treat! The only difference is that it's supposed to be cocoa not coconut, at least in the original anyway. But I prefer the coconut accord in DUA versus the original cocoa so, I digress. To each their own. This is a masterpiece. One of many by DUA. Keep up the amazing work, Mahsam!!

I had been eyeing this one for a couple years and it did not disappoint! Exceptional Dance of the Dragonflies has all the aspects of a perfume that I love, apple, citrus, a tad fresh, but not too fresh, creamy, cinnamony, I know that’s not a real word, but it should be! It’s also powdery, sweet, musky and vanillac, other aspects I love as well. This is one that I always hope to have in my collection and I believe it’s my favorite Dua! A very exceptional perfume indeed. Also, my mom has passed, and she loved dragonflies. So I can wear this and think of her. 🥰

Smells divine! Sweet red apples and vanilla. Smells like a baked dessert, apple pie/apple crisp. So yummy! Also strong as fuck. One of the few gems from Dua

Cheap synthetic and not a good dupe. But it does smell nice for what it is. Yea most of DUA’s dupes last a long time because they’re very much synthetic.
