Fire Element

I have been hoarding and economizing my remaining half bottle of Chanel Misia--I have a bottle of the now discontinued, utterly beautiful 2015 EDT, which is no longer being manufactured, although the EDP is still available if you have the discretionary funds to buy something from Les Exclusifs. But now I don't have to, because the inexplicably named Fire Element smells so much like my precious beloved Misia that I doubt I could tell them apart an hour into the drydown. They both have superb longevity, but because Fire Element is an extrait, it might have the edge. The bottle is nowhere near as elegant, nor is the branding, but I don't know if those are worth an extra $200 to me. At any rate, if I run out of Misia, I won't feel quite so forlorn. I hope this sells well enough that Dua doesn't discontinue it. Don't discontinue this, Dua! Update: The longevity is insane on this. Several months after writing this review back in March, I have Misia on the left inner elbow and Fire Element on the right. Fire Element is still going strong, and the Misia is mostly worn away. I think Misia, like most Chanels, performs exceptionally well, but Fire Element is something else entirely.

I think the raspberry turns sour on me. Otherwise, it would be a nice fruity floral.
