Heaven’s Moonlight

Very clean, leans slightly feminine. Pleasant fragrance, definitely gives more daytime vibes to me, as well as spring and summer. Although, I would easily wear it in colder months. Pretty and light.

The opening is delicious, rich juicy-sweet like grapefruit and mango which doesn't translate plastic on me as it tends to. The coconut has a balsamic veil and it's velvety smooth perhaps from the tonka. This scent also has a slightly vintage character throughout as in soapy-powdery and somewhat citrusy peppery from the pink pepper-grapefruit. I like the pink pepper touch of spice in the opening because there is rich fruity sweetness around it and the coconut along with it, but I don't like it as much in the later drydown cuz that's when it is giving an orange blossom peppery impression paired with the vetiver. The opening is bright from the lemon-coconut, but not aldehydic, more ozonic. I really love the fruity sweet opening with the coconut and the balsamic nuance. It is sweet in a soapy way towards the mid phase due to the coconut. The coconut and pink pepper render the scent quite solar, but also cooling, like the moonlight indeed, due to the additional lemon freshness. The coconut gives an ozonic milky flare to the scent and makes the pink pepper's feminine soft spice more bright, slightly fizzy in the drydown. The rice adds some grainy earthy quality in the mid phase/drydown and along with the tonka they produce a velvety effect, so it is not a screechy scent and the rice gives more body to it. I love rice in perfumes maybe it's the note making the scent slightly powdery; it also accentuates the green facets of the vetiver here. The tonka is not enough in the later drydown, but it makes it smooth woody balsamic in the opening and mid phase. The vetiver provides a woody earthy and green nuance in the mid phase that I love since I'm fond of earthy and woody green scents, but it becomes slightly camphor-like, metallic and peppery in the later drydown from the pink pepper without the floral aspect of a peppery orange blossom. Luckily it's not dusty woody as Javanese Vetiver tends to be. This is more like a Haitian Vetiver being clean and ethereal so it definitely amplifies the coconut's ozonic quality at the later drydown and both notes - vetiver and coconut - make the pink pepper brighter with a fizzy soft spice at that stage. It is not linear as a scent. It starts off sweeter, balsamic smooth, bright kinda tropical and ozonic with a touch of spice, while it becomes more peppery-spicy-ozonic and earthy later on with the nostalgic soapy powdery aspect throughout. I prefer ozonic scents as opposed to aldehydic ones - see Extreme Rebellion being very aldehydic. The vetiver-pink pepper camphor-like metallic effect is similar to that of orange blossom or ylang-ylang in the later drydown, giving a subtle bbw Tropidelic type of camphor solar effect, not floral as ylang-ylang/orange blossom are, but more spicy than in Tropidelic. The ozonic coconut with the solar pink pepper and earthy vetiver with the metallic peppery camphor effect that they produce are not my favorite aspect in the later drydown when the scent is not as fruity sweet, and at that point the milkiness is gone so it's more earthy and soft-spicy ozonic. The projection is soft and soapy/powdery so I like that. It's like a coconut floral-free tropidelic imo at the later drydown which makes sense as this is in the tropical theme supposedly, but the pink pepper makes it deviate from the tropical theme so I dislike the pink pepper at the drydown. I love the opening and mid phase tho. At times it also reminds me of Latte D'Or by Le Monde gourmand due to the somewhat sweet milky-ozonic coconut, the earthy quality in both, and the fizzy spice being ginger there and pink pepper here, but this is not like herbal tea as that one is and it's more ozonic. So it combines many elements as a perfume. I don't get any vanilla from this and the source of sweetness is from the fruity notes.
