Her Shyness

Best red juicy apple fragrance on the market. I have Kayali Eden Juicy Apple and I have Apple Love by Ellis Brooklyn, but Her Shyness slays them all with her sweet candied red apple opening and her sugar and whipped vanilla base. You definitely have to like to sweet to like Her Shyness, but if you do, then she’s going to grab hold and not let go. Soooo pretty.

I loved the apple smell in this one. To me it is a sophisticated sweet smell. Grown up woman without being "old lady". I would buy this one again.

I love this one. On first spray it’s very strong apple that’s very clean and feminine. My only gripe is that this is a beast for about 30min - 1 hour and then it just dies on both skin and clothes. Other duas can last 5 days on clothes. Not this one. But she’s so pretty it’s worth reapplying

Very strong, sweet apple smell, somewhat artificial like all apple scents, like apple squash and apple apple bubblegum. Pretty, hopefully it will smooth out with time.

This scent, Her Shyness, made me realize why some fragrance-lovers despise The Dua Brand. Testing method: I sprayed this on paper but not on my skin and it was the same day it arrived. This is the most common way I test fragrances and it helps me give a fair assessment of overall quality and whether or not the fragrances suit my nose. If it passes the paper test, I try the skin as well. And sure, maturity can have an impact, but it will not entirely change the chemical composition of the fragrance unless the fragrance has been subjected to extremes, in which case it is no longer the same fragrance. Results: What transpired, at first, was a sour apple scent much like a candy, with a few hints here and there of other notes like whipped cream and cotton candy. However— As time passed, the sour apple scent became more and more prevalent until it overpowered everything, and it simply became so sour that it was, frankly, quite nauseating. It would be the perfect scent for a Wicked premier or Halloween, maybe, but little else. By the end, I decided I hated it, and I usually absolutely adore all apple scents and I even love tart apples and sour candies! I will probably give it another try eventually before I sell or toss it, but as it stands, it truly is a fail for me. Perhaps even more so than Passionately Dolce.
