On my skin the original and this Dua are 99% identical. I absolutely love this, since I refuse to pay the exorbitant Kilian price. This is deep honey and resins, with a touch of flowers, and it lasts much longer than the OG. Highly recommended, it’s very high quality and very fairly priced.

As per all Duas, this one cannot compare to the multifaceted & diffusive opening of the original, instead you are punched by the intense honey—slightly towards the "pissy" side—between Back to Black & Miel De Bois. However, past the opening they're 95% similar with Dua still carrying a hint of the Serge-esque sharpness. Barely an hour into them, the original has become noticeably weaker, losing some of its "cool as a cucumber" honey (whereas something like Fumerie Turque carries a warm fuzzy honey). 2 hours in they're practically identical. 3 hours into development, the original has turned into a slightly different scent with more fruity & powdery facets since the honey-tobacco have completely blended into indistinction; meanwhile Honey Laced Tabac shows little change. 4 hours in the original is practically gone 😵 while HLT lasted 4 more hrs. The reasons I never bought Back to Black are the price & longevity (plus there are other great honey-tobacco fragrances to choose from), but this dupe solves both problems!

I haven't compared side by side yet, but the honey is a lot more intense than the original, gearing towards the "pissy" side which reminded me of Miel De Bois. Since I never settled on a honey-tobacco scent (I think it boiled down to the discontinued Volutes EdT & Fumerie Turque), and Back to Black doesn't last at all, I might just get this!
