Invasion of the Barbers

One of my first DUA purchases, and easily one of my favourites. One shot of this to the chest is all you need. A classic clean barbershop profile, has that shaving cream powdery vibe in line with things like Milano Cento and even Clubman Pinaud. This is very punchy and performs amazing, it is a mature profile but very classy IMO. I had a sample of the inspiration years back, and this was totally in line at the time. My bottle came in the older style DUA offering, which is garbage, and it has that thick parfum concentration, but a little goes a long way so it’s tolerable. Any fan of Rive Gauche should enjoy this offering, keep in mind my bottle is aged and probably 6 years old now...They grow up so fast.

Love this! It smells like the MDCI Invasion Barbare but much more intense. Ive had people stop me on the street to find out what it is. Old school barbershop fragrance with a twist. I could see how its not for everyone. If you want subtle, the original is better...but this is amazing.

This is a fantastic scent that is very close to the original but more powerful and dense. It is a true pleasure to wear and a very affordable option. I have this on my left hand and the OG on the right as I type this and the similarity is striking. Great job Dua.

A la exceptionnel Barbershop scent. Was one of the first ones I targeted to acquire from Dua, since I have never entertained the notion of shelving out 300 bucks for the OG. Epitomizes the classic, lathering shaving foam, exuding the exhilarating scent of bergamot, lavender, grapefruit and ginger, fresh and spicy. The composition is supplemented by cardamom, patchouli and Vanilla and musk in the drydown. There is some note in the dry down, which i find a bit off-color, I do know not if its thyme, but it's a herbal/ bitter type note which I chalked upto maybe "star anise" being a part of the composition? But that ain't there, and I would say a trivial smidge in the whole scheme of things. All seasonal scent? Summer, spring and fall, I prefer the heavy ones for winter Unisex? Masculine Blind buy worthy? If you're into the barbershop sequels, a resounding yes Performance? Longevity, 7 to 8 hours, with good projection and silage.

I think you need to buy this and let it sit for a few weeks, if not more. When I first got Invasion of the Barbers (IotB), I didn't like it. Maybe it was the violet or sage, but it wasn't hitting me right. After shelving it all summer, I tried it again in the winter and it's phenomenal. Lavender, vanilla, spices, but not done in the same vein as Le Male. IotB has good silage though you won't bring a room tears. As noted ny others, it has that barbershop quality to it, so it probably isn't something you'd wear to the club. Unless you own it.

I ordered Invasion of the Barbers and while that is what the sticker said, the juice I received was Prada L'Homme. L'Homme is one of my favorite fragrances and its an excellent dupe of it, but I can get 200ml of PUIG discontinued version for $80. What a shitty company. They must just pour whatever is on their workbench into the bottles.

I thought I should give this a fair try before I splurge on the real thing and after testing it out, I think I still would rather have the original. For the price it’s ok but it lacks longevity and it doesn’t have that nice quality lavender that sticks around in the original. It is much more harsh throughout. I think the original is worth the splurge. This smells good but the original smells amazing
