A gem, the dry down is so wonderful... Dua did well on this one..

I had a sample of Guerlain Iris Torréfié, and I enjoyed it enough to use it all up and regret its absence but not enough to spring for the OG. I got a decant of the Dua impression, and I don't really understand the downvotes for Iris Torréfie; these might not be identical but they're very close. I'd say the Dua is about 85% to 90% there. I do think the iris is a bit punchier in the Guerlain, but honestly this is such a bizarre scent profile--and not one I feel like wearing very often because I like my iris dewy and fresh, not "roasted." I also find the juxtaposition of iris and coffee rather jarring. This is very good, though, and it smells quite expensive, as does the original. I just don't think it's one of Guerlain's more inspired offerings.

Top notes of creamy iris and bergamot. The fragrance gets a bit confused in the middle -- the bergamot comes on a bit too strong and emphasises the tea note, so for a while it all gets a bit "earl grey". Nice enough, but not what I signed up for. Very slowly, though, the citrus burns off and first the vanilla and amber, and finally the coffee begin to assert themselves. It takes roughly 45 - 60 minutes to get from bergamot tea to iris coffee, but the drydown is worth it. Absolutely lovely and a hidden gem amongst Dua's 50 bajillion scents.
