Man Card

This is mistakenly labeled as a Gucci Pour Homme I dupe, when it's actually a dupe of Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme from 2008. GbG was one of my first fragrances and I was looking for a replacement for years. I still have a small amount left of the original, and this is right on the money. I'm too emotionally attached to give an unbiased review, but I'm so happy this exists.

Man Card is Dua’s inspired expression of Gucci Pour Homme, which I’d not smelled in quite some time but the Dua of which is very nice, right at the intersection of fresh and spicy while also being versatile and sophisticated, an easy everyday winner that could extend to evening use also. The full note list is quite lengthy but the main accords that I take from it to communicate my experience are ginger, bergamot, petitgrain, pink pepper, oakmoss, labdanum, and woods. It’s a great classic-meets-modern type of men’s signature scent, somehow a bit fashionable while not straying too much from classics of the later 20th century. It’s now in the Dua Designer Line and so it has the modest pricing for $33 for 30ml, and performs quite well. It’s an easy go-to and one of only and handful of inspired expressions I’ve opted for in recent years, so I’d certainly recommend checking it out. Though longtime fans of its inspiration might have varying opinions on how close of a replica it is, I like the Dua as it is. 7 out of 10

This is an excellent blend surprisingly enough. The leather is well hidden behind the woody cedar accord and the pink pepper spices things up nicely. The ginger and lemon make things interesting for sure. I really dig it, however wish that it would perform a little better. This was a complaint about the OG so I am not surprised. I gave gained respect for DUA with this one. 8.25.
