I have not smelled the original Enigma parfum version but I prefer this to the Enigma parfum cologne for sure. Compared to the parfum cologne, I find this less sharp and more smooth up top. I am very picky when it comes to clones, and even to my nose I can't tell the difference side by side with the parfum cologne 2 hours in. Has much better projection and longevity. I find that DUA can be real hit or miss, but this is a strong hit for me. The accuracy and affordability makes this a strong contender for my signature scent. I'm still figuring out how many sprays, but I don't think I'd do more than 4. Also, both the parfum cologne and this have a very strong black pepper in the base, and it's a bit much for me up close. I tend to want to spray away from the neck for this reason as I find this smells significantly better in the air.

A friend of mine had it. I basically couldn’t leave him alone. Luckily he shared what it was after he got my lunch box. OG: no idea, but I believe in Dua more than Christ himself. 4-5 sprays before entering a crowded church during a confirmation probably wasn’t one of my greatest moments in life. But I never felt so powerful in my life. Girlfriend said never again, so I try to sneak-spray it behind other perfumes until she forgets about the whole thing and starts to love it like I do. I succeeded with garlic in her food, so I’m positive.

This is supposed to mimic the older version of Enigma Parfum POUR HOMME (for men), not the Parfum "Cologne" nor the feminine counterpart with purple letters...of course it's missing the top notes (plus Dua has never been good at replicating those). Personally I think ALL versions of modern ♂️Enigmas are too weak, and this takes me back to the first time I smelled the scent years ago.

Just got this in, so maybe my opinion will change with more wear and maceration. Upon first sniff the coffee is prominent with an almost peppermint kind of smell underneath. Some spices, and something a touch medicinal to my nose. Not a huge fan. It doesn’t smell bad, but it’s not a scent I would want to smell like, if that makes sense. I could see some people loving this though, it just isn’t for me.

House Adams asking about the 2023 version, for me when I bought it about 6 months ago I didn't fancy the opening was a bit too stinky,was going to sell on but now after 6 months maceration it's fantastic can't recommend enough.cola cognac tobacco gorgeousness

Mine is one of the older formulations... Kind of a flatter version of Enigma. Definitely has the boozy cola vibe and dry leafy tobacco as it dries down. It’s ok... Not great. Not sure if the 2023 version is better
