Milky Marvel

Don't let the name confuse you! Its not a milky fragrance by any stretch. Rather - this is a very unique fresh sweet herbal concoction which you may like or you may hate. Or in my case, I am in the "like" zone. Litsea cubeba is from the Laurel (evergreen) family and therefore it is a note which doesn't come up in perfumery all that often. I am in a new perfume phase and looking to add some herbal fragrances to my collection. I do like this as well as the Tonka note but I need to wear it in cold weather and see how it performs.

This is supposed to be a dupe for the lush super milk I have the hair primer. It smells similar but not exactly like super milk. Its less milky and less citrusy than super milk. It smells good but it’s incredibly strong which makes it hard to wear. I smell mostly tonka bean it’s even over powering. Follows with a hint of something creamy laconic and a tiny bit of lemon.

I haven't smelled the perfume version of super milk but I do have the OG hair primer. This is quite different from the OG. To my nose, it only got the lemon aspect of the OG but not the sweet, creamy, lactonic part. There's something medicinal and sour in the mixture too. Will have to see if it smells better in colder weather. I'm not really enjoying this at the moment.

Maybe I got a bad batch but this doesn’t smell anything like Super Milk to me. It’s sharp and the lemon note gives bathroom cleaner. It’s missing the deep creaminess that Super Milk has. I’m going to store this one away for a few weeks in a dark space and see if anything changes. I’m so disappointed as I have many Dua perfumes and none have let me down until now.

Just got my bottle today and to my nose it's almost identical to the Super Milk leave in at Lush. My nose picks up lactonic, cinnamon, vanilla goodness and a touch of citrus. Perfection for layering with other vanilla based scents. Will absolutely be purchasing another bottle. Longevity is 8-10 hours. My 10th Dua and they have all been spot on to what nose loves!
