Orchid Molecule 7.0

Ethereal, sugared, magical, just a dreamy sexy scent. Fresh yet candy-sweet even though it has no fruity notes, but also soapy and calming like the most gorgeous white floral dewy fabric softener spring scent, and the best part is the slightly tart minty effect accompanying the sweet deep scent of the orchid. The minty element is perhaps from the tart magnolia note and the wild flowers. It's like pink sweet mint candies in a calming soapy cloud of musk. It has all these layers as a perfume and blooms on the skin in various different stages. It becomes more soapy and springy on me at the later drydown while retaining the deep sweet orchid element. Even though it is sweet and purple-pink in my mind, the tart minty element makes it unisex. In the mid phase it becomes more minty tart and unisex, without being too fizzy, like black currant or grapefruit usually are too sour and fizzy. The white floral ethereal part of Orchid Molecule is amazing. The unique refreshing deep sweetness is present in the mid phase and it always stays smooth. It reminds me of a fresher and soapy, less green and more floral-ethereal Love Desigual which has a sweet tart minty effect from the black currant- grapefruit-praline. Here we have magnolia, orchid and vanilla instead which makes it smooth and rich. Same league as Jimmy Choo Exotic 2015 with the minty grapefruit, and the sweet deep orchid there too, but without the black currant-grapefruit of Exotic in this, and without the patch spice so it is a more playful wearable scent; instead the magnolia and wild flowers are a more refreshing ethereal tart source than grapefruit and black currant. It also pairs well with Candy of Creamy Vanilla which is like leathery rubbery weirdness on its own.

When I first received this, it smelled like fabuloso. Really disappointed. However, I've noticed with this brand, you need to let them sit. Some longer than others. With this one, it actually took three months. Now, I'm quite pleased. No more fabuloso, and I plan to wear when I'm in the mood for the bright tartness this offers

Comparing real with dua side by side. It's a miss on dua's part clone wise. It's pretty but doesn't really smell the same. Dua's version is shampoo like while original is more flowerly slightly sweet with tiny bit of something tart. If Purple molecule is your favorite perfume, dua won't replace it.

Only two weeks old so maybe it needs to macerate a bit. Ill be back.
