Lemony with a sharp, dry chrysanthemum-marigold kind of accord. I like it a lot and find it perfect for the hot weather. I haven't done an arm-to-arm comparison with Bal d'Afrique, which I don't own, so I can't say if it improves on the formulation, but I would bet that the wear time is superior. I enjoy the relative lack of sweetness; Paris 1920 smells almost chypresque at times, and I love the cedar and vetiver base notes.

I have a sample of the original and side by side, they’re almost indistinguishable. There is a stronger blast of chrysanthemum in the opening of the Byredo, but the Dua lasts long and is a fraction of the price. I’m living in this scent this August. It’s a great summer to fall transition fragrance.

Better performance than the OG. Aroma is spot on with a slight difference. This is floral but a "different" type of wood in the background. Still a very solid fragrance on it's own without having to make a comparison. If you overspray this....you'll be loud for the initial hour or so then as this dries down you'll appreciate the notes and how they blend. Worth getting for sure.

I am not a very good technical reviewer but my bottle of Bal d'Afrique is empty and I came upon Paris 1920 from Dua fragrances....This is very, very close to the Byredo one. I had already two other Dua fragrances and, they were also close to the originals... And not being so expensive, I will buy them again.. Greetings
