Popped Cherry

I have the original, and was recently turned onto the Dua Brand by a friend I made here through a swap. She gave me a different clone of another high priced beauty (Ganymede) and I was very impressed. So I tried a FB of this one, as my Lost Cherry bottle was getting low. After testing the og and this on different wrists, I can honestly say this one is an incredibly close dupe with all the dark cherry, almond, tonka fabulousity of the real deal holyfield. Basically indistinguishable after 5 minutes and at the one hour mark. (On original spray, I will say that dua's version is a little cough syrupy, where the original is not, but this fades within a minute.) At $30 on sale, I'm not sure if I can ever justify buying the original again. What was the most impressive, however, was that 6 hours later, the Dua version was still going strong, and the Tom Ford classic totally gone! I'll be trying more dua's in the future, and this one is a no-brainer if you want Lost Cherry but don't want to shell out $400 to smell like this.

Popped Cherry is the Dua expression inspired by Tom Ford Lost Cherry. It’s a bit more cherry-intensive and sharper, with more bite than the original, while the original is a bit creamier and more resinous. Both have the sensibilities of balsam and tonka, a bit powdery and quite sweet, and overall an intensive, mostly-gourmand, immersive experience. And of course Dua is somewhat more affordable and practically pocket-sized, so convenient. So while it doesn’t mimic the original exactly, Popped Cherry is a welcome variation of a great scent, and a great scent in its own right—my first bottle purchased with the current, slim design with crimping a little under 3 years ago. 8 out of 10

I have not smelled Tom Ford Lost Cherry so I can't compare them but Popped Cherry is beautiful!! I am in love with the smokey cherry I get from this perfume! Just one spray lasts me all day and I am in heaven getting whiffs of smokey cherry goodness throughout the day and night. All of my other perfumes lean pretty feminine but I would definitely say that this is a unisex fragrance..a man would smell absolutely wonderful in this! This cherry perfume has a dark, sensual vibe to it and I could picture it being worn by Keanu Reeves...sexy embodied.

This is a veeerrrrrryyyy close dupe to TF Lost Cherry. I ddnt have high hopes but this was absolutely a great find. The Cherry is beautiful and syrupy. Definitely a colder weather scent fall/winter. A bit heavy for warmer months. The dry down is a little smokier than TF which is a bit more powdery but it still maintains that same DNA. (not salty smoke just in distinct smoke mixed with the Cherry).

I've had this Extrait de Parfum for over a year, and it keeps getting better. It's getting stronger and has more of a bite to is like Tom Ford's. It lasts forever, it's completely unisex, not too strong, not headache inducing and perfect for any season, day or night. Can't go wrong with this and it's one of my "loves."

Despite the tacky name and bottle, this is a pretty solid clone of Lost Cherry. Maybe a bit less powdery, but that's a bonus for some people. Has extremely good performance and lifespan, like most Duas. I find this one leans feminine, it's quite sweet and girly to my nose.

Not sure if they changed the formula recently but this is str8 heat. Beautiful cherry centered frag. Dont smell too much else but some sweetness. Very very good and i am not purchasing any other cherry frags bc this is exactly what i was looking for.

This isn't just beast, its PSYCHO MODE!!! 12hrs and its still arms length, 24hrs and its discreet but still there. On clothes, double that! A crazy potion. Powdery cherry gummy bears

This brand's dupes are usually quite linear and straight to the heart, and this is no exception. It's basically 95% similar to the original after 10min and lasts longer!

So this reminds me of a sexy grown up version of my favorite old school jergens lotion fragrance and I am obsessed. It is a cherry almond bomb and so delicious!!!!

DUA got me with this one by sending me a complimentary hand sanitizer with this scent. Wow, so good. When you're in the mood for cherry booze (or drunken maraschino cherries), this is a great, dark option. I say dark because I came by a sample of another dupe from another house (Be Layered) and the jasmine in that was way more prominent and the cherry was more fleeting. DUA does what their description says for this one: the cherry note in TF LC is fleeting and DUA extends the life of that boozy cherry by hours! The dry down is a dark, tonka, almond woody dry down. Absolutely perfect for that fall vibe but I imagine would work for any night time outing where alcohol is flowing. Projection is quite good for the first few hours before settling into a cozy skin scent which lingers for several hours more. Needless to say, this is a much more affordable option than the original.

80th Yes, this is better than TF LC(longevity), absolutely, a touch sweeter. Alexandria Fragrances version is also great as well as ALT Cherry Smash. Take your pick, get all 3- you’ll be stocked for a long time. With these available, I see no point in getting TF LC. The only thing I caution is to make sure your bottle sprays a mist, and not a stream, otherwise, oily stains on clothes. This happened to me with Alexandria-it sprayed a stream from the travel spray and made a big oily stain on my black shirt . If you’re spraying on skin, just ignore what I said and enjoy spraying. Beware spraying on clothes in general, as all these seem generally more oily(some more, some less). I guess that would be the only negative if you like to spray on clothes, so test them out. They all should last nicely on skin though because of this. 9/10 for great smelling copies

Sheesh. Note to self: steer clear of the opening. I sprayed this stuff on a test strip, brought it up to my nose and the next 10 minutes were a blur. Cherry chloroform. Burnt out all my nose hairs. The scent calms down into a mixed cherry, almond and burnt tonka accord. Not the best cherry. A bit cloying. Could do without the rose note but at least they blended it nicely so it doesn’t smell like its usual rubbery self. A little too sweet to be mature. Better than the Alhambra TF clone. Unisex with a slight feminine lean.

in my opinion iy is a spot-on dupe for Lost Cherry. The cherry note is prominent throughout, and it lasts about 6 hours plus. At the same time, ironically enough .. the cherry is so dominant, that i grew tired of it. lol . But i can confirm... it smells just like Lost Cherry, if not better, for way cheaper!

unfortunately I just wrote a very lengthy detailed description of my experience with this scent and sadly my phone refreshed and it all went away and now I’m feeling too lazy to retype such explicit details! As a lover of cherry, I blind ordered this for the succulent lingering cherry goodness I’ve read in many descriptions. That initial cherry blast is undeniable juicy and delicious! Immediately then, I got something smoky I recognized but couldn’t put my finger on... somethng very, VERY smoky and the cherry was gone. Maybe it’s a little like the fresh embers of sandalwood I’m smelling...? It suddenly hit me that it smells like cherry incense I have purchased many times! As it dries down, I get little fleeting wafts of cherry but the smoky ashy cherry incense still reigns supreme. As more time passes it starts to brazenly contradict itself (Walt Whitman would be delighted!). Up close to the skin is a tad more cherry than before yet on my direct skin the ashy smoky incense smell is definitely reigning supreme. It’s definitely gracing me with a little more cherry than smoke but the cherry is just barely winning that fight. The further it dries down I get more of the cherry . It definitely makes a statement and continues to contradict itself. I can’t discern many distinct ingredients of this.. I’m getting cherry, the very smoky sandalwood, and maybe a hint of a smoky tonka... Personally I feel this is a much more masculine scent after that initial juicy blast than I would’ve ever guessed from all the descriptions I’ve read! but it definitely could work for a woman as well... I picture a very confident, unapologetically sexy vixen in Christian Louboutins commanding a rooms the minute she walks in. I like it alright but I definitely don’t love it. I think i just wanted much more of the juicy cherry bomb to stick with me! If anyone is interested in trading with only one spritz sprayed from this bottle, I’m happy to. The packaging is lovely. I won’t be totally mad if I have to keep it either though 🤷🏼♀️

I don't know about this one. For 3 to 4 hours all I could smell is the syrupy woody cherry but after it became a nice soothing skin scent.

the cherry in this one is too artificial, it has like a medicine smell. i regret buying it

Yuck- smells like cough syrup. I get booze. I get cough syrup cherry, I get absolutely nothing else. Haven't smelt the original.

Excellent clone of Lost Cherry--and I own several original Tom Fords including that one, and I am very hard to impress. Incidentally, I have found Dua's customer service to be excellent, including this as an example: In one order I made, a fragrance was included that was not the exact thing I ordered. I let them know about the mix-up, and included a photo of the perfume I actually received. They told me to keep that bottle at no charge, and promptly sent me out a bottle of what I originally ordered. An individual is currently posting very negative information about DUA in every Dua review on Fragrantica that she can find. While I am sorry for her dissatisfaction, trying to start a smear campaign in the fragrance community against the entire business is not the best way to handle it. Cheers, Friends.

I have loved LC from TF since 2020 when I purchased a official decant spray from that Rock n Roll guy. But haven't had this yet. I know where I can get one but need to sell my “lovely but not for me” -DUA “Floating World 🌎 first. Or does anyone want to trade?? Lmk Brand new sprayed 1x and the atomizer smells so realistic flowers its unreal! My Floating World 🌎 for your Popped Cherry 🍒 .???
