An odd and haunting fragrance, a piercing rose against bergamot and aromatic spices, of which I mostly smell cinnamon. I don't know the Tauer scent, alas, but his Rose Flash from Tauerville is one of my reference roses, and I love it. This perfume is hard to pin down, and it seems gentle even though it's quite strong in terms of projection. (My husband noticed it from across the room, but I had just sprayed it a few moments earlier.) The dry, spicy geranium is beautiful to offset the jamminess of the rose. Rose of Kandahar reminds me a teensy bit of Guerlain L'Heure Bleue, only with rose in place of the iris. I don't think their notes overlap all that much, but there is something about the delicate incense weaving throughout the citrus and floral that reminds me of L'Heure Bleue. I hope I get to smell the original Tauer creation. It seems like the ones I covet the most are the hardest to find, at least at a reasonable price. An hour into the drydown: Not L'Heure Bleue but Shalimar, only with a more pronounced rose note!

Very mature scent reminiscent of White Diamonds/Chanel No. 5.... Not for me at ALL.
