Scottish Highlands

This was a complete blind buy, in that I had never smelled this perfume, or the Chanel "inspiration", because Chanel is so frustratingly hard to sample (seriously Chanel, I would love to give you my money, why are you like this?) Anyways, that means I cannot speak to how good a dupe this is, but I can say, that I really, really like it and will be repurchasing this when it runs out. From Dua, not Chanel, how do ya like them apples Chanel? Temper tantrum aside, this is a perfectly blended and balanced scent, like all Chanel, but more in a modern vein than the "classic" Chanel stuff. The first spray is almost citrus, then is a fresh, spicy, naturey cloud that projects and lasts nicely, but doesn't overdo it. In fact, the description from the company itself is pretty spot on, unlike some of the more metaphorical descriptions from fancy designers. I would call it perfectly unisex. This is not the only Dua I have, and every single one of them has been delightful and affordable so I don't have to feel any anxiety every time I use it.

I looked at this as a cheaper alternative for Edimborg as daily wear, but it breaks down to $1 per ml when you can get the Chanel for $1.30 per ml along with better packaging and bigger bottle size so not really worth it in my opinion.

I blind bought this several months ago. There's something about it that immediately turned my stomach. I had the most pronounced visceral reaction literally on the verge of throwing up. I threw it away after trying it a second time. Even now remembering the smell makes me feel sick. I'm sure it's just an aversion unique to me.

First on, it's fresh green, bright citrus peel feel, and fresh pine wood. Overall very citric, but not sure why with the listed notes. It reminds me of something I’ve tried before plus the piney cypress addition. The musk and vanilla in the base take away a lot of the crispness by dry down though, so it’s less lovely after a couple of hours and you must reapply. Definitely getting a fresh juicy bergamot/citrus in here first on, plus that lovely piney cypress. More wood comes in in the dry down too, which helps it steer very clear of Christmas Tree or cleaning product. Smells maybe how Gorse might smell? Really enjoying this. Citrussy Cypress, kind of a chewy green. Nice!
