She Loves Red

I am an Aries so I love red and that's why I bought this and also because Tonka Reminiscence is in the reminds me of for Rouge Smoking BDK. I agree that it has a similar honeyed sweet resinous essence to Tonka Rem without being as balsamic as that one is, but they are sister scents due to their similar notes being the bergamot, vanilla, the heliotrope here corresponding to the almond of Tonka Rem, the tonka, the warm labdanum which is so resinous in both without being leathery as cistus is. However it is not churchy and overly warm or clover-spicy as Tonka Rem is since it lacks all the very balsamic heavy notes of the latter - the clove, anise and the oriental jasmine of it. So it feels like you go straight to the later drydown of Tonka Rem minus some of the pungent honey of it. Everything is more balanced and crowd-pleasing in this one. I love both though. It doesn't remind me of a coca cola scent or cherry cola btw - I do not make that connection at all when I wear it and my mom did not either and she loves this scent too. DUA's Golden Spice Latte is also similar to Tonka Rem from the benzoin, tonka vanilla with the balsamic spice intact from its turmeric, and as I said I do not get any similar warm spice in this. I only smell some pink pepper which is in the background in the opening and mid phase and it's giving a subtle woody pencil shavings nuance which I try not to detect cuz I am not into pink pepper as it's a bit stale on me. No churchy warm spice effect in this though cuz the pink pepper is a dry ingredient and to me it's not even necessary in this scent. Golden Spice Latte lacks the aromatic floral element of Tonka Rem , just as Flavia Vanille Tobacco so I do enjoy the floral aspect in this one from the violet- orange blossom which remains throughout. This is more youthful than Tonka Rem also due to these floral notes and the sweet cherry. I love the jasmine in Tonka Rem, but overall it's a more mature scent than this one being more playful in this league. So yea this is more a wearable resinous sweet tonka scent than Tonka Rem even though I love the latter to death and its ethereal jasmine. The opening of She Loves Red is cherry-sweet, but not artificial or juvenile, it is resinous but also softly floral and feminine while the violet is not heady, only a touch of it, and the ambroxan-bergamot are not overly sour and annoying. I am scared of these two notes esp in DUA perfumes as they give a dish detergent smell - not in this perfume. The cherry sweetness remains in the later drydown even, accompanying the resinous warm labdanum and the almondy heliotrope-tonka. It smells delicious. Never tried the OG, so I am content with this one. I almost did not buy it because of the labdanum which in DUA's scents can be like cistus too leathery and like gasoline or burned rubber.

She Loves Red Vs. Rouge Smoking sample. 99% identical with better longevity. She Loves Red is a long lasting POWERHOUSE. I wore three sprays to work recently and found myself skirting co-workers for the first hour of my shift because I didn’t want to suffocate them with my gorgeous waft. Sticks to clothes eternally. When Dua says EXTRAIT, they really mean it. She Loves Red is a powdery cherry cola floral dream. Having it, I don’t need Rouge Smoking, but I will say ounce for ounce the price is comparable. Buy this if you want longevity, and don’t mind not having the BDK bottle.

Inspiration: Rouge Smoking by BDK Parfums. This is a beautiful, soft and romantic perfume. It has a little spicey pink pepper with the cherry and tonka bean it smells very festive and evening. Orange blossom, bergamot, cashmere wood all create to form this lovely unique fragrance. You can smell the cherry but also the vanilla and that cashmere wood keeps it from becoming too summery or fluffy. It's a mature, sensual perfume. 10/10 Projection is moderate to strong.

Spiced cherry, I liked it. However to me it sits close to skin and I just unloaded 6 sprays on my arm and have to sniff my arm to really pick up the scent. There is something medicinal about the cherry scent which I personally love. Edit I put 2 sprays on my clothing and now it's very prominent.

I have this one and Rouge Smoking. To me, they are nothing alike. This one is pretty but is soft, muted and lacks the depth and richness of Rouge Smoking. I'm wearing them both right now, and this one pales in comparison.
