Smoked Honey

It is an absolute honor to be the first to review this fragrance here! This was an almost complete blind buy. Smoked Honey is intended, according to the perfumer, to be a dupe or interpretation of Sova from Slumberhouse. I had never tried a sample of either one of those fragrances, but I HAD tried a sample of Mond by Slumberhouse and immediately fell in love— Only to have my hopes dashed when I found it was discontinued well before I could buy a bottle. And Mond allegedly is very similar to Sova, a Sova-Lite, if you will. Suffice it to say, I was incredibly pleased with this fragrance! It has all the addictive sweetness and complexity of Mond, with even more jollity. I balked at the price and the first few seconds of the top notes, and I thought I had been badly burned with this purchase. Then it bloomed into the absolute best bouquet of aromas evocative of late spring in the deciduous forested areas North America. So much so that it transported my mind in time and space to happy memories, the smell of tree blossoms, and the feel of sunshine on my face. This is not simply a wearable fragrance— This is a way to experience sunshine in the forest or fields in the middle of the night without even stepping outside. And yet it is immensely wearable, too— A couple of sprays on my arm lasted around 12 hours or so, and kept wafting a happy little symphony of sweet honey and hay notes with certain movements, as if I were the conductor of the very scents of spring itself. This fragrance comes with my highest recommendation for anyone, but especially outdoors lovers when you are trapped inside for whatever reason. 10/10, would buy many more bottles if I could afford it!
