Sophisticated

Very glad that a kind Dua Diva included with my order a generous sample of this beauty, which is a very convincing impression of Coromandel, a Chanel fragrance I quite like but not enough to buy at the Les Exclusifs prices (if I had money like that, I'd probably go for a bottle of something else, maybe another fragrance from that line, or a Guerlain). At any rate, I have just done a paper test on this so far and haven't put it on my skin, but Dua's Sophisticated smells like I remember the sample I had of Coromandel smelling. I think Coromandel/Sophisticated probably contains just a smidge more patchouli than I can handle, even though the Chanel patchoulis (and the Dua counterparts) are clean and minty-woody rather than hippie-headshop-dirty. I do really love the way the citruses and spices collude with the white chocolate, vanillas, and florals. I have often thought that Coromandel is one of the more Guerlain-like perfumes, almost like the Chanel "impression" of vintage Shalimar. It reminds me in some ways of Coco Noir, although it's sharper and more unisex to my nose. Anyway, I might pick up a travel-size decant of this, or maybe even a full bottle. It might be nice to layer with the Oil Perfumery version, too.

I’m on my second bottle of this and have a third tucked away in my closet. I’ve also got a 200ml bottle of EDP, and I think this is based off the EDT because although it’s like my EDP...it’s even better. I hope to always have this with me throughout the rest my life. 🥀

Even when I graduate to my big girl bottle of Coromandel, I’m going to keep her, and backups, around <3.

This is spectacular. It’s beautifully blended and smells very similar to the OG. The best bang for your buck for sure
