Sweet Tabacum

It's a sweeter and to my nose less sharp cousin of TV. For the money this thing is a beast. Surprised my gf actually loves it and she isn't a fan of tabbaco scents and she hates TV. Two thumbs up in my book.

This is Dua's clone of Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford. I own Dua's Cherry Tabacum and it's one of my favorite hybrid fragrances in my collection so I knew I'd like this one. You know how sometimes you own a hybrid so you hesitate to get one of the fragrances the hybrid is based on since it would feel redundant? Well that is not the case here. Without the cherry influence from Lost Cherry, this fragrance takes on a whole new identity. The tonka bean and cacao are much more pronounced here. It pushes the entire fragrance in a gourmand direction. The tobacco note here is one of my favorites, it's very spice-heavy and not super earthy. I think this is unisex but I can see some people viewing it as more female leaning, the vanilla note really sweetens it up a fair bit. This fragrance has a relatively simple set of 4 notes so I can see some real potential for layering here.

When this brand came out it somehow caused a bit of a stir and attracted many haters and dislikes, but y'all be missing out! I actually didn't like Tobacco Vanille very much, that's why I was surprised by how much I liked this! It's similar to The Mobster, but much more potent. It's also sweeter than Tobacco Vanille, but more importantly it's warmer (almost ambery)--I've always felt odd about the ashy coldness of TV--and has a stronger tobacco note (which I think it's the most important aspect) especially in the drydown. *Would've gotten it if it wasn't for Diptyque's Volutes (EdT) and my Tabac Aurea

Just pulled out a decant that I had from several years ago. DUA's owner used to have a partner in the beginning that did samples does anyone remember? Suds and smells or something like that was the site. TBH this has turned to all cloves now for the most part with a hint of tobacco and vanilla. As of now IMHO Haramain has the best and most affordable Tobacco Vanille clone.

Tried a 1ml sample to see if Dua were worth it or not, and tried a few of the fragrances that had the most positive receptions. I found they mostly weren't very good at all, with a few exceptions however, but even those weren't as good as the originals they were based on. This is a decent clone of TF TV but lacks the dried red/black fruit notes that I think really make it stand out compared to other Tobacco & Vanilla fragrances. This lacks the depth and sophistication of TF TV but absolutely nails the Tobacco & Vanilla blend and is decently likeable and wearable, just for the price you'd probably be better off waiting to pick up TF TB at a discount. This paired with Alexandria Sweet Smoke makes a very close smell to TF TV on the dry down - but for the price of both to combine them you're probably best off just waiting for TF TV to go on discount.

Damn.....so I heard all the hype around this house and to be honest I was quite skeptical but man oh man was I wrong. I got a hold of this beast in a bottle and I took a whiff and I was like damn this smells 90 plus percent close to tftv and I was shocked.......then I made a huge mistake by spraying like for squirts on me before work. At 9:30 this morning but now it’s 3pm and I feel woozy and have a headache and I have to take a poop because this juice is literally pumping off my skin and projecting for HOURS damn this juice is strong as F........,,,be warned amazing smell but beast preformance ....I’m sick now trying to think about a shower and then using one small squirt of this monster..........u have been warned. crazy value good stuff

Awesome frag. For those TFTV fans, who feel that it's a hit on your pocket can go for this juice and give TV a pass. This juice screams quality. Superb longevity and sillage. I only get tobacco on my skin which I love and it adds to your masculinity. 10/10 Im gonna buy 2 bottles now and keep one as a back up. As this house was launched very recently, keeping a back up and using it somewhere next year will make this juice even more monstrous. This is a must have collection in the wardrobe of all frag heads.

This is my first dua dupe. I know sometimes they take time to mellow, but I tried this one on immediately and got a strong hit of clove that's not mentioned in the notes. It definitely smells cheap; a very synthetic vanilla, and while it mellowed acceptably through the day there was something hollow about it. I'm going to let it sit a month or two and update if some magic happens.
