The Cologne Of Ginger Biscuit

I sampled the original and while I did like it, I could not justify purchasing it because it faded in 30 minutes. I couldn't smell it. Scent wise, this is very close. It's maybe a touch sweeter than Ginger Biscuit. But where this really shines is in the longevity. This lasts a while! At least 4-6 hours. As the perfume wears on, maybe around hour 3-4, I start to get whiffs of men's cologne. Calone probably? I know it's called "cologne" of Ginger Biscuit, but I was still a little surprised. It's not overwhelmingly present, but it's there under the spice.

Smells like the original. Lasts about 2-3 hrs.

I bought this fragrance looking for something similar to Jo Malone’s Ginger Biscuit, as it was sold out everywhere. A few months later, I finally had the chance to smell Ginger Biscuit, so I’m now able to compare the two. First and foremost, both fragrances smell almost identical. They open with an extremely sweet, sugar cookie-like scent, accented by a touch of gingerbread spice. However, there's one major difference: a plasticky note in Dua’s Cologne of Ginger Biscuit that completely ruins it for me. If you enjoy super sweet, gourmand, edible scents, this might be right up your alley. But for me, that synthetic plastic note lingers and cheapens the whole experience. If you're looking for something close to Ginger Biscuit and think you can tolerate that plasticky note, this could work...but personally, it's a miss.

I bought this just to compare with the OG, I own 2 bottles of the JM because I am a greedy b*tch, I want the fragrance to last because I don’t know when is going to be re-re-released... It cost me $33 for 30 ml, the only size available. The first two seconds of this fragrance is spot on, just like the OG JM GB and just like the original, it doesn’t develop that much. This is 90% a dupe because there are 2 main characteristics that make this slightly different: 1- it lacks that woody/tobacco note in the JM that the Tonka bean brings. Almost cedar-ish. Being point 1 made... 2- It’s sweeter. I just wish, because this is a dupe brand, that lasted more than the original but hey! They also duped this, they don’t last!!! 4h max.

I bought this based on the fact that people find it reminiscent of GB. I have not bought GB or smelled it but really like the notes. Maybe I am thinking that ginger biscuits smell similar to gingerbread- that would be my mistake. While I’ve only sprayed this a half dozen times or so, I find this more savory than anything.
