The Monarch

This is a big fragrance that radiates "joie de vivre" (the joy of living). The cavalcade of notes may seem comical, but they are balanced and blended to great effect. Greens dance with florals; citrus, apple, & coconut illuminate the heart; juniper berry, lavender, orange blossom & aniseed provide bright streaks of contrast; and a "kitchen sink" collection of base notes support it all superbly. At its core, it is an aromatic citrus with juniper berry & orange blossom leading the way, so it is quite perky and lively. But the ensemble behind them is the greater story. It's a load of complexity that resolves to something quite simply gorgeous. This one hits me in the brain stem. It has sufficient quality to be wearable anytime, but this would be a monster in Spring, worn outside on day when growth is in the air and the sun is brewing promise. Yes, this is a Dua; snicker if you want. No, I cannot say how closely it resembles Oligarch, nor do I care.

Man this is insane! I had a sample of Isola Blu which I liked and also TdH, but this is on another level. Beastly performance and the best spin on the DNA. It is, I'd say 95% the same with the others, but there is that 5% that has something magic to it and I can't really tell what it is. This is unbeatable in longevity, sillage and price. One of the best offerings from Dua in my opinion. Also, it seems to get better with every time I spray it. Like the first time I've sprayed it, it was ok, but now, 5 days later, the magic unfolds. Very interesting.

Just buy it, worth every penny.ive had my bottle over a year keeps getting stronger.
