Tobac Aoud Attar

I own both this one and the original TF Tobacco Oud Intense. This one is really nice. I'm on my second bottle and Dua frequently offers as much as 33% off their prices. I can make the case that it is a bit less animalic which may appeal to some. I strongly recommend checking it out. The downside is that it is an attar...very thick and oily. I mix it with performer's alcohol to lighten it up so that it projects off the skin. This helps a bit. Like the original, this is an intoxicating, sexy, smoky fragrance and a great substitute if you do not have the original.

Does open strong on an authentic, ambery, but not smoked, tobacco facet, however not too long after, it becomes much more subtle in terms of not only projection, but in terms of the tobacco facet, but there is still just enough there to make of that facet. Hence, the amber is the more prominent note. This profile is here to stay, and consequently, this frag leaves quite a bit left to be desired. Do I like this? Somewhat, considering the drydown, it’s an interesting twist of amber and tobacco, but it’s definitely not a dirty amber(gris) you’d find in Magnetic Blend 1 by Initio. I would have much preferred if the tobacco had sticked around for longer as much as it did in the beginning, so in this regard, this frag is a flop. Is this an equal to the Tom Ford it’s duping? I can’t say, but I can’t imagine it would be by even the slightest bit. Would I buy this again? Probably not. The tobacco facet doesn’t really seem like a blend of the naturally occurring ingredients—it smells synthetic.

An excellent perfume... If you're idiotic enough to buy a counterfeit Tom Ford perfume - where the 100ml bottle costs around $200 - then know this is just a cheap imitation that doesn't compare to the original. It's even more expensive than some niche perfumes. A complete joke that no sensible person would accept
