Gone with the Smell

Recently picked this one up and I really like it alot. It gives me a happy and comforting feeling. A Floral and Earthy fragrance with some soapiness. It reminds me of when you open a package of Rose incense sticks or cones with the fresh Rose but also the earthy smell. The Incensy vibes I get might be the combo of the earthy aspects from Patchouli and Vetiver. Its wierd that incense is ́nt a confirmed note in it, you can feel it from the beginning and definitely in the dry down with the resin and oils. I often burn floral incense cuz it gives me peace and calmness and that is what this fragrance brings me... I would say it ́s easily an all year round scent but mostly for Spring, Summer and Autumn. From the floral aspect on paperstrip; Carnation is the strongest closely followed up by Jasmine and then Rose. Carnation is the big main player and the most prominent. It`s potent stuff with great quality. Stays on clothes for days and days. I don ́t find this a sweet scent. This it ́s right in the middle of Unisex with slightly oldschool vibes from the soapiness. On the back of the bottle a quote from Martin Luther King Jr. says: "Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." now this one is the one i liked the most to be honest. the carnation plays the leading joyful note with the help of roses, musk and vetiver, slightly jasmine is there and sweet marshmallows with a hint of Crème brûlée is there as well. rose water and Blossom water are there. it's a soapy sweetish flowery slightly salted fragrance. i can sense the quality in here quite well. to be honest this one stands for the whole brand.

This is old school to me. I smell those aldehydes right off the bat. I smell the rose and carnation. If you love vintage you will like this.
