L'Air de Panache

One of the best scents I've ever come across. L'Air de Panache is addictive, and you can't get enough of it. Although it's not entirely strong to last the whole day, the time you do spend with it is memorable. Movie aside, someone should recreate this or do something similar. Mark Buxton said that the closest cologne in his line to L'Air de Panache is "Message in a Perfume". However, the main accords are different. I'll need to get a sample of "Message in a Perfume" to compare.

I was lucky enough to smell it when visiting Nose in Paris. Oh, what a wonderful smell! It's lightly citrusy and woodsy, but not very long lasting. You can get whiffs of musk when it dries. A very elegant scent. Like Monseiur Gustave!

I really can't stand it when people get something and try to roll it over for obscene prices. According to Gustave H, "that's too much ,1.5 is correct" Great movie but for a grand or even 600 it is better suited for somebody with a great deal more cash than self discipline. I like the fact that Buxton included the apple note,nice touch.it should really project if it's anything like it was described in the film.Fragrances from the thirties really project. I do not want it but would still like to smell it.

i watched this movie on board in my way to paris .. unfortunately this perfume wasn’t for sale it was given as a gift for friends of the perfumer but i was warmly welcomed in the shop and they were generous enough to gifted me a sample of this perfume as a souvenir and i still have it i stick with a square card with the lobby boy art .. anyway it’s such an ordinary fresh citrus cologne and very weak but the movie makes it more fascinating

Having just seen The Grand Budapest Hotel today, I am completely enchanted with this movie. It is visually beautiful, nostalgic, quirky and funny with an all star cast. In short, it's a masterpiece from Wes Anderson. The central character, the charismatic M Gustave surrounds himself in a cloud of L'Air de Panache. I was delighted to see that there is a real perfume created for this and I would give my right arm for a sample.

Really, now... So what if a movie was the inspiration for the fragrance? The list of notes is quite impressive and frankly, ANY fragrance developed by Mark Buxton deserves an unbiased sniff. Take a peek at the list of Mark Buxton's creations AND the houses they represent before dismissing this latest one before it's even come to market.

I definitely agree with y'all's sense of indignation!! The maker (if we can believe intent from a single Ebay auction) is completely opposite of the character he purports to represent. Nice concept, very poor execution.

OMG! There is a single bottle on Ebay and the seller has started bidding at $600! The Buy It Now price is around $1000. Ridiculous!!!

I am intrigued and horrified all at once. Is this even worse than the celebrity scents? Hard to say.

I wish I could somehow find this and buy it. I bet Mark Buxton did a lovely job with those notes!

just love the way Mr. Gustave sprayed L'Air de Panache on his body.

Is this serious? :) Anyway it's Budapest and not Budapesht.
