Moon Glory

I received a sample in the mail today. It arrived in a small black velvet pouch together with a little booklet(?), and the sample itself was in a small, cute beige cardboard box with the brand logo and a moon on top of the lid. It's a really beautiful, full bodied and sweet fragrance. It's warm, sensual, slightly tropical and a tiny bit powdery. It smells golden! There's some notes I don't really know what smells like, but I can definitely sense a thick, waxy floral note, sandalwood, passion flower, and Jasmine. It's addicting, and I can't stop sniffing my wrists! This is something I can see myself wearing both winter and summer, only applying different amounts, in different ways. It seems to have a moderate sillage and it has lasted about five hours so far. I would love a bottle of this, but will probably never get it because it's very expensive... This is one of my favorite fragrances of all times. It is such a special scent, a really special formula that often times I forget I am wearing the perfume and that this is what my skin and my hair smells like. It feels so nice on the skin, that it feels like an extension of me. It is an ethereal experience wearing this. This fragrance is what I would imagine a Greek goddess, perhaps Demeter, to smell like - it also reminds me of a beautiful sunny, summer day visiting an ancient city in the Mediterranean. It is woody at first - a mix of sweetness but mostly wood - and somehow in a few minutes to an hour this most beautiful, natural honey comes out, mixing together with the most elegant white florals and lychee, still woody to some degree but mostly creamy. It stays on for hours and hours, days sometimes, and even longer on clothes. The honey is reminiscent of a This is a signature scent of mine, that being said, I still find this to be awfully overpriced which is a shame. I think it could do well being fifty to a hundred bucks cheaper. I also do not see the comparison to Scandal by Jean Paul Gaultier. They are two very different scents.

This is beautiful in such an unexpected way. To me, this smells like a cool summer night after a beautiful day, you’re staying in a luxurious villa on the California coast surrounded by jasmine on your newly-built wood patio next to a fire, and you’re drinking a fancy rum and ginger ale with a honey caramelized orange garnish. It’s definitely a beast mode fragrance, though most people who encounter it don’t seem to clock it as a perfume (it kind of reads like it might be an expensive hair product or body gel lingering on your skin). I was searching for a fragrance for my elopement in Southern California and this was the clear winner. I am generally not a fan of super airy floral fragrances that smell like a bouquet (seems to be the standard for this type of occasion), I prefer fragrances with a bit of an edge, and this is certainly it. Due to the price it’s definitely not a safe blind buy. That said, everyone I’ve encountered while wearing it has had a positive reaction to it. It’s sweeter at the top, but dries down into smooth, velvety magic. I hope they never stop making this, it’s absolutely stunning.

After obsessing for a while I finally obtained a sample and I was not disappointed! This is a strong one to start with - thick, gooey, sticky-sweet honey with hints of pollen and slight florality. Super feminine but with a slight edge of sophistication. And as I mentioned, strong! However this was somewhat of a firecracker - strong opening but dissipated relatively quickly in comparison to the opening strength. Or perhaps it is because I wore it to an outdoor event? Can’t be too sure. Although a gorgeous perfume the price is a little prohibitive and does not seem worth a purchase, and this coming from me is a little rich as I buy where the hype is haha. Reminds me of Amouage Journey Woman and I will compare the two and add an edit. EDIT - where Moon Glory is a super sticky sweet honey, Journey is a more complex, pollinated and floral honey with a sophisticated and grown up vibe without the extreme sweetness. My vote goes to Amouage.

An intoxicating scent, warm, rich, sweet and unique. Honeyed flowers unfurling in the sticky evening heat, on one of those days that just won't cool down. The air is close and stifling, but you're happy and tipsy. I think the moon branding is a bit misleading as this is such a rich, fruity, summery scent. I understand it's meant to be flowers at dusk, which I do agree the scent evokes, but the name and the silver bottle suggest a completely different vibe than 'summer evenings'. If you love rich and sweet floral honey scents you owe It to yourself to try this. It freshens slightly on the drydown, which is a great compliment to the top and middle notes. The price is extortionate, but at least it's reflected in the performance and strength of the fragrance. On hot days I think a couple of sprays would be enough, or it would risk becoming very cloying. I'm very glad I tried it, it put me in a sunny mood. ☀️ I want a cocktail now.

This is magic in a bottle. Thank God Neiman Marcus had a $50 off promotion because it’s so pricey! I first smelled it two weeks ago and I could not stop thinking about it. It is unlike anything I’ve ever smelled. I sprayed it on my wrists at noon and put my jacket in my closet at 10pm and the next day my entire closet smells like just beautiful tiare flowers and honey. The projection is good on me and this scent just makes me happy. For me it compliments my chemistry. My husband likes it too and said it’s sweet but in a good way, there is a freshness to it, it smells expensive. Like being in Montecito California in the spring. To me it’s so refreshing. I get the cleanest honey and flowers. Truly magical fragrance. This does not sell powdery or old fashion. It smells like a classy woman over the age of about 36, not because it’s not appropriate for anyone younger but because it smells like it cost $400 lol.

I have noticed that in the revews below, this frag is hard to describe because its different. No spice, soap, smoke, pine, powder, chemical, or anything that makes a frag smell un natural to me. This frag is an absolute beauty in my opinion! I just love its smooth rich rounded balance of honey and floral. It also feels like something creamy and well blended but in a very non artificial way. I cant stop wearing this and the dry down is a skin scent but smells so fresh, sweet and innocent in an expensive way. I have never smelled anything like it before. Its very luxury and high end and although its expensive, its worth every penny. When I first tried it I thought of the color silver which is funny that is the color of the bottle,but others have said gold so maybe it has a metallic scent to it. I see how that might be perceived. it smells very nostalgic while still being mature. makes me think of playing in my childhood best friends backyard and eating the fettuccine that her parents made (not that it smells like fettuccine). I would definitely not say it’s sickly sweet considering how light the projection is, which I enjoy. It smells very cold which im sure was somewhat the point the point, but it nonetheless surprising that it gets the point across. I really enjoy this fragrance and think it will be beautiful going out fragrance in the summer (its too expensive to be everyday)

I tried the entire Harmonist line when I was at Neiman Marcus. This one stood out to me among the rest. I was surprised that I really loved something that had so many florals, because I'm usually really not that into florals. The florals here aren't stuffy, overly mature, or overwhelming. They are lush, warm, and well-blended. This is beautiful and special. It reminds me of when you can see the moon during daylight hours. It is perfect for warmer months.

I love this fragrance, but it does not suit me. I love the soft spice mixed with the sweet floral. The honey develops into a beewax type smell. While I do agree that it gives a beautiful ethereal feeling, but on me it gives off the image of someone who is desperate to be taken seriously or seeking power. It makes me uncomfortable, so I gifted it to my mom, and she loves the compliments she's getting lol

Absolutely adore this. It is sweet and honeyed, but not juvenile. I really get the litchi in the opening. It is soft, almost powdery - definitely ethereal, and as such, I think the name really fits. It lasts about 3-4 hours on my skin with moderate projection. It is so well blended that I don't mind having to reapply. Plus, I love the opening so much that it is an excuse to smell it more often.

I got a sample of this and I can tell you this is one beast mood fragrance very sensual and sweet. It opens up with honey jasmine and dries down to this intoxicating notes of ylang ylang, honey And litchy fruit. This perfume will announce your presence before you arrive. . Honest opinion it was overwhelming at first and i gave it time to dry down and it was perfect

Love this!!! It's always in my rotation. I got backups of the Dua version just so I could get the vibe as often as I like without feeling like I'm rushing through my OG. It's so pretty and nothing like anything else I have. I'm not big on honey in lots of scents but in this one it just works. Fan of the brand overall but this one is my favorite of the moment.

Sooo good. Sweet combination of coconut, juicy red orange, ripe plums that already start to dry and turn into prunes. Hint of honey and ylang and all that on the body-like-musk. Despite all sweetness this perfume is not heavy or cloying. Best word to describe is opulent. Sounds too luxurious to wear it everyday, but I’d love to. Price is killing😵💫

I love this Fragrance I think it’s just gorgeous! But you definitely need to like sweet scents. She’s sweet and sexy. I absolutely adore! Smells amazing! Gets a lot of compliments too. Lasts a long time on me and smells so sexy. I love the litchi and caramel scent here. Absolutely stunning! Definitely one of my new favorites

I love this perfume so so so much, I got a little sample of it and I am using it so sparingly. It's sweet and unique, just a little bit of a twist that keeps calling you for more! I feel so beautiful when I wear this, like a goddess when I spray it on me I can't get enough. I'm currently saving up for a full bottle!

Loved this one, then hated it, then liked it. You just gotta be along for the ride with this one. Heavy honey sweetness (NOT sugar sweetness) with rich flowers and fruits. Took a sample with me on a quick beach trip and one careful spray after the beloved post-beach shower was perfect for a luxurious summer evening.

This is a love. I love this scent. Thick syrupy honey. And it’s pure baby. Smells sweet, seductive, sensual, sexy. I love it! It was love at first smell. It’s a niche better blended and smelling version of Scandal by JPG which I also love. Moonglory smells much better obviously you can’t compare the quality of it.

I’ve bought a sample of this from scent split. It was immediately love at first sniff! I immediately ordered a full bottle. Within the next day, I use the rest of the two ML sample I had. And once my bottle came in I can’t wait to open it! This one is so beautiful so sweet so honey and fantastic performance.

Moon Glory has earned a spot in my rotation and I am not sorry. My scent preferences seem to be changing and the sweetness and the honey really smell comforting and wonderful on my skin. I have had a sample and then a travel size and I believe a full size bottle is in my future.

Picture this you just got out of hot steamy shower. You layer up with lotion and body oil. You spray one spritz of this on your shirt. You lay down on fresh clean sheets. You get pleasant whiffs of deep sweet succulent honey from this beautiful fragrance! A win in my book.

gorgeous, heavy, resinous honey. thick and syrupy. alluring and just on the edge of being too cloying. smells like sun drenched honey dipped fruits. i do also love scandal and these are a little similar but this is much less musky than scandal and feels a bit more chic.

I adore this perfume. Got it as a birthday present a year ago and it's my go to scent! Perfectly floral with the warm notes of honey and wood. My best friend told me the first time I wore it that she wanted to follow me while I walked forever because of the scent!

Gorgeous honey-jasmine confection of a fragrance. Intoxicating and delicious. It’s what I wish Zoologist’s Bee smelled like. Longevity is fantastic on skin and clothes with moderate sillage for the first couple of hours. It could stand to be $100 cheaper, though.

Sampled this at Neiman Marcus and I fell in love smells so good. Very pricey but definitely full bottle worthy. Can’t wait to buy a bottle. It’s perfectly sweet and luxurious. That Baddie type of scent. I feel I would be able to wear this year round.

sticky sunny honey ☀️ It has a beautiful drydown, and if it was cheaper I’d buy a bottle in a heartbeat. This was an unexpected and happy discovery! It has gone straight on my wish list, not sure I have smelt anything quite like it.

OMG 🤤 there are no words, well there are. Gorgeous, Lovely, Exceptional. This Honey scent is just divine the way that they intertwined with all the other notes, I do not have anything in my collection that smells like this. ♥

I received a tester of this, it is beautiful; it reminds me of another fragrance. Depending on cost, I might get a full bottle. 2/26/23 - Edit - I finally purchased and returned it. It’s not that special way overpriced.

These are my favorite notes in perfect harmony. The ylang-ylang is punchy and the jasmine is dreamy. The hinoki wood nails it to the ground. Sticky sweet pissy honey. This is the one. I’ll wear this on my wedding day.

If you have JPG Scandal, this is redundant. If you don’t... for the price, I’d say just get Scandal. It’s beastly and beautiful and VERY similar. I love Scandal, therefore I love this, but I like Scandal more.

I’d describe it as a honeyed fruit/flower/wood. Honey dominates this fragrance as soon as it hits your skin. It’s one of my strongest perfumes as well and blooms throughout the day.

This is amazingly lovely. A very sweet honey floral, Moon Glory is a crowd pleaser. Safe for work, always gets compliments. Super feminine- just lovely!!! An instant favorite!

got a decant of this to try and although I typically am not somebody who likes florals, this one lives up to its namesake of being a moon glory. Highly recommend.

This has BODY - thick, heady, lush, and sweet.

Opening smells JUST like a monstera fruit, if you’ve ever smelt that. It’s an intriguing scent, plainly tropical but with something unfamiliar about it that you can’t quite place. A creamy mix reminiscent of banana and pineapple, but with a sweetness just thorny enough to make you question whether or not it might poisonous. More so than any particular floral note, my brain just registers, “monstera fruit”. That, and a healthy dose of powdery sweetness. I will say I found this perfume to be much more powdery than I was expecting. For me that powderiness borders on overwhelming in the opening, but then it mellows out sufficiently throughout the dry-down. The honey note is heavily present through all stages save for the very very end. It’s a true-to-life, realistic honey that kind of lingers about in the background with its resinous, sometimes-sharp sweetness. It adds a lot of headiness to the perfume, I think. I notice honey is the note that projects the most if I’m moving about and my skin heats up. On my skin, one spray fades away after about six or seven hours without any hint of the base note woods. But on fabric—ooufff let me tell you: once they appear, the hinoki and sandalwood just last and last with their soft, elegant, inviting, and ever-so alluring woody muskiness. At this point in the dry-down, only pleasantly lethargic hints of the opening’s powderiness remain, adding to this stage’s overall comforting vibe. It makes you just want to hug it to your face and take a deep breath. I get hints of it on fabrics for days after the initial spray, and I don’t ever use more than two sprays. Personally I find this perfume to be a tad expensive for what it is; I got mine in Japan for an inadvertent 30% off due to an extremely weak yen, and feel perfectly content with that cost performance. I personally expected the top & mid notes to be a bit more complex, but perhaps if I didn’t know what a monstera fruit smells/tastes like I’d be more taken with this perfume. That being said, this is by far my most compliment-getting perfume. I’ve only worn this during the winter; I have a feeling it might be too heavy for warmer weather, but I’ll update as the year goes on. Also, as someone from Hawai’i, I don’t actually get any particularly Hawaiian vibes from this perfume at all, hahah. I more associate frangipani (plumeria) with the smell of the islands, but that’s just me. Overall this perfume is definitely worth a sniff ♪ Totally devoid of any typical “perfume-y” olfactory qualities; very high quality. Oh and the bottle is HEAVY! Update: toooOOOOOO powerful for height-of-summer daytime, but the vibes are immaculate at night

To me, this is the clean girl/soft girl version of moth by zoologist. Don't get me wrong they don't smell a like, but they have a similar mystic essence to them. The honey almost presents itself in a powdery way, and doesn't amplify the sweetness from litchi. There's no incense or spice but it smells that way, probably because of the hinoki wood and peru balsam. The bottle is beautiful, but the price isn't for the overall experience. This scent is safe in most public gatherings (unlike moth), I want to see how it'll perform in fall because to me it feels autumnal. Sample before you buy! Update: 100% better in the fall (compared to summer)

A moonlit very warm summer evening finds a girl in a sun dress with her long hair gently caressing her bare back and shoulders. Her eyes glow in the moonlight while she inhales the thick,dense scent of the garden nearby. It’s ethereal -magical and dreamlike and she wishes the moment in time could last forever. This fragrance brings me to this moment and is so special and one of my favorites. It’s not about picking out the notes or evaluating the sillage of longetivity. It’s about how it makes you feel back to a moment in time. It’s one of my favorites and I wear it sparingly due to it’s specialness.

Another Harmonist overhype/copy of something else. This smells exactly like JPG Scandal. It's not unpleasant at all, it's quite lovely...but you can buy JPG for a better price. It was the same thing with Harmonist's other scents -- one smells exactly like Chloe EDP, another just like Casamorati Lira. I can't justify spending $350 on a small bottle that smells almost identical to something less expensive yet still designer.

I mostly got a strong, cloying blend of honey with a vaguely powdery floral note. Early on, there is something reminiscent of coconut mixed with mashed up orange Flinstones Chewable Vitamins but that thankfully disappears after a while. Unless you’re willing to only use a little of this, it’s better suited for cooler weather.

This scent is my first experience with the Harmonist brand and I have to say this is a unique, dazzling scent. It`s certainly with an attitude so you have to want to be noticed to wear this. By-passers would probably think you are a unique and mysterious being with special and atypical view on the world:).

Ylang ylang & white flowers with piles of powdered sugar and honey. The woods do come in after a while but they're definitely not the focus. Quite intoxicating, a little headache inducing. Massive sillage and lasting power. High quality beachy / tropical white floral, worth trying if those are your jam.

This is a warm, captivating sweet fragrance. But not too sweet. It is very smooth and definitely smells like good quality. I will wear this any season any time or place. I am so happy I saw a review of this and ordered a sample to try. The Harmonist has a lot of unusual fragrances.

The honey is very high pitched and loud at first, but after about an hour, it starts to settle down and the next several hours are a lovely journey of woody white flowers. Sensual, sweet, and deep.
