Almond Harmony

Let's face it: THOO...the bottles are gorgeous. And historically, the fragrances and I do not seem to get along :o) I recently purchased five sizable decants of almond-centric fragrances. And I must say, I really love all five fragrances much more than I hoped! I think I just love a pretty, well-blended almond accord! This is surprising to me because almond is not a note I actually thought I enjoyed (as much as I do). Out of the five and next to Une Nuit Nomade "Chemin d'Amande," THOO "Almond Harmony" is the most gourmand-ish and most realistic almond fragrance from the bunch. The perfume's opening is a slightly bitter melange of bergamot, petitgrain and almond. The opening is strong, noticeable, extremely fresh and green on my skin. I ordinarily dislike green, or fresh opening perfumes. But within 10 minutes, the loveliest, purest, almond paste note punches through. Thankfully, the strong emergence of almond note never rises to the nauseating sweetness of an extract note. The almond accord in Almond Harmony is EXTREMELY dry, dusty and powdery. The almond smells more like almond flour, or almond meal versus almond extract. Almond Harmony is NOT a boozy, or syrupy fragrance. Almond Harmony wears as a very powdery, dusty, arid, dry fragrance. Throughout its wear, the beautiful almond notes become more prominent. Mid-notes of powdery iris and dry florals (heliotrope, ylang-ylang) do emerge but do not overtake the almond notes. The tonka, balsams and musk contribute to a beautiful, comforting, warm drydown. The harmony between all the listed and detectible notes is amazing. The blending makes for a very artistic and lovely perfume. After trying several other almond-centric fragrances, I decided to purchase a full bottle of Almond Harmony! I'm excited 'cause it's that nice!

The best scents from The House of Oud tend to be their creative gourmands (as well as the excellent rose-oud that is Blessing Silence). Almond Harmony - a creative gourmand - is one of my absolute favourites from this house. Almond, when done well, is a cosy, rich yet quiet gourmand note with just the right amount of sweetness. Here, it is complemented to perfection by heliotrope, tonka bean and vanilla, as well as featuring a smooth floral heart. AH is almond-dominant from the opening, with some citric freshness in the background giving it a lift. The green petitgrain in particular is an inspired addition. As it develops, the almond remains dominant while the floral heart slowly comes to the fore. Ylang ylang adds smooth sweetness while heliotrope enhances the almond note with its almond-like floral haziness. Clean, powdery jasmine adds body, and iris and rose round out the powderiness here. Vanilla adds smooth, dry sweetness at the drydown phase, and there is a lovely softly spicy tonka bean note here that marries beautifully with the almond. There is a nice, balsamic amber note in the base too, tying it all together. It fades to a musky almond skin scent eventually. Sillage is moderate and longevity is long-lasting. Aptly named, this is an excellent almond-centred composition. I'm not usually a gourmand fan, but AH is objectively excellent and very wearable. Feminine-leaning but potentially unisex, depending on taste, AH features just the right amount of sweetness. Cosy, wintertime elegance. 4.5/5.

I'm wearing this on one wrist and Farmacia SS Cara on the other, and I LOVE both of them. They are very similar and I'm having a hard time deciding which I like more as I can only afford one of them right now. Almond Harmony is the type of almond I like: creamy, sweet, with a big dose of heliotrope and vanilla. You get whiffs of Etro Heliotrope in this. Very playdoh on me which I enjoy. There are some differences between AH and Cara. AH is spicier on me, something like a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg. The ylang is blended very well, it's just a touch to add a tiny floral element. Cara is more linear almond, softer, more vanilla and feels girly sweet. Cara smells more like almond confetti to me. The sugary, hard-candy shell is very apparent to my nose. AH leans slightly more unisex, but both are extremely feminine to me. The sillage on AH is a bit stronger too. They are both incredible to me and you probably don't need both, unless you're an almond addict like me. I'm still struggling with which one to buy first. The playdoh notes are stronger in AH and it projects louder that Cara. I'd say go with AH if you want a less linear confetti almond experience, but you can't go wrong with either one.

The reviewer that said the smells like marzipan when first sprayed is 100% spot on. However, it becomes significantly less photorealistic as it mellows and ages. I'm not always a fan of powdery heliotrope, but this has very little of that and much more nutty vanilla. At the point of dry down, it is beautifully complex and has a backbone of floral woody notes to compliment the almonds and sweet vanilla. As it matures, it becomes slightly less sugary and has more of those bitter almond and tonka notes. As I expected based on reading reviews, there's not a lot of projection from this one. However, the tonka/vanilla and slightly powdery almonds is a lovely skin scent that lasts decently. In a way, this is the perfect gourmand for long days and close quarters - as it lasts but it doesn't project much. I can get 8 hours of wear with a generous spraying, it's just never going to project no matter how it's applied (adjust your expectations accordingly). Imo, this is what TF Vanilla Sex was trying for but failed to reach – a slightly sweet, vanilla skin scent that doesn't scream and shout, but provides a lovely experience when up close.

This one’s a beautifully blended perfume. The almond is very strong at the beginning, and remains throughout, albeit slightly subdued. It’s not overly floral or sweet and definitely unisex. My biggest gripe is how quiet this one is, and how it pretty much disappears from my skin after a couple of hours. Expensive niche perfumes have a reputation for their strength, but this one does not last long enough. The sample I received from Luckyscent stung my skin and made it red, which makes me wonder if it has any extra alcohol added (I’ve never experienced this when trying a perfume). It’s a shame, because this one is full bottle-worthy if only it lasted longer! EDIT: I judged this too harshly. I think I overloaded my senses and went nose blind to this, and considered it to have poor performance, but it actually does pretty well. This is the closest thing to my beloved Etro Heliotrope and a quality scent (although it does sting my skin a bit). Almond lovers must try.

Mother of god. This was soooo close to being theeee peerfume for me! Like signature worthy almost! Its that good. I was wowed when i first sprayed this. Then i was sooo sad that this didnt project! This was such a soft scent. Like i had to bathe on this to smell anything and still not even sure this can be smelled. Did i get a defective bottle where projection was compromised? Anyone sense the same? This almond is so beautiful, natural smelling, so rich, sweet, creamy and comforting yet it doesn’t smell like food but something refined and almost expensive smelling. Perfect for so many occasions, very versatile. Likely not ideal for something red carpet given the projection and sweet nature of it, but anything else any other time of the year, except hot tropical climates , this is perfect. This is my favourite almond scent ever, so sad this bottle will be gone so fast. Its not cheap.

the opening is very heavy on the almond and orange blossom, with the almond being candied and very powdery and the orange blossom having a marshmallowy sweetness to it. The opening does have a touch of sharpness to it because of that bergamot and strong dose of almond but it quickly subsides into a fluffy cloud of candied sweetness. The heart is a lot of florals but they feel more like a candied bouquet with fluffy and powdery accords. The heliotrope is the star floral amping up the almond aroma, with the ylang ylang following with a hint of some sweet fruitiness underlying, the other florals offer fluffy airiness. The dry down adds some warmth and creaminess to the scent and the vanilla smells cake icing adjacent with some powdery musk, and remnants of that marzipan type almond. To me this is a candied almond with powdery accords through and through.

Cherry-leaning almond - yes. But not cherry... I don't even get baby powder or a powdery vibe. I am getting a sweetened almond extract vibe (almond-leaning-cherry without going full cherry). It is not too sweet though to me and doesn't feel juvenile at all. And it doesn't smell artificial. It projects more than I realize when I'm wearing it (others let me know) and I could smell my own sillage moving about - and it's phenomenal. I was afraid it would be a lighter fragrance by reading these reviews ⬇️ and it is a lighter scent, but it's a quality fragrance so therefore it projects & has a nice sillage. I am enjoying this. I am glad to have it (got at a decent discount so happy about that)... I haven't smelled anything like this really***... but I am still and always looking for more nutty fragrances! 🥜

Almond Harmony was a recent blind purchase. The fact that the bottle looked so awesome and the main note was Almond was an automatic buy and hope for the best kind of moment for me! This fragrance is all about Almonds. It is a rich, creamy, medicinal, play doh and powdery vanilla type of scent. Sweet and delicious with a nutty texture and heavy on the Tonka. There are soft subtle flowers mingling in the background but definitely not the prominent notes. The fragrance does not really change much during the wear and I like it that way. It's rather a simple gourmand scent with great projection and longevity. Almond Harmony is an absolute dream for Almond lovers

This is my first from this house, and it won't be the last. First of all, the presentation is superb. The scent is oily and strong, smooth like an amaretto liqueur. It starts not too sweet, with pure marzipan, which soon turns powdery, amber and vanillic. balsamic and ever so slightly spicy. The silage and lasting power are very nice too. It does resemble Hypnotic poison, but it's deeper, smoother, more powdery. I personally love it, and I will definitely explore this house further. I always stayed away from it because of the name. I hate oud and anything smelling remotely arabic, but there isn't a single trace of oud in here. Gourmand and gorgeous!

I have just tested this on paper so this not a real review, just a first impression. it's a very lovely fragrance if you love almond. a realistic one. it somehow reminded me of macaron cookies. on paper I can mostly detect almond and tonka and some vanilla and maybe a touch of heliotrope powderyness. it's sweet but not supersweet and very cozy and yummy in a nutty way and I would love to try it on my skin. من فقط یه تست مختصر رو کاغذ کردم اما تو همون تست مختصر خیلی خوشم اومد ازشه. شیرینه اما نه خیلی شیرین و یجور آجیلی طوری خوشمزست شبیه خوشمزه بودن شیرینی ماکارون. من رو کاغذ بیشتر بادوم و تونکا حس کردم، در درجه بعدی وانیل و پودریت هلیوتروپ

I had high hopes for this scent as every note listed are ones I typically love but the almond in this comes across very strongly as cherry cough syrup on my skin unfortunately, from literally start to finish with really no other notes to be had. I'm used to wearing niche houses so it's not a lack of nose sensitivity unfortunately, it's just a not for me scent though on another I'd probably love it. edit: i love it now. 🤷🏼♀️ It doesn't have any cough syrup smell now but is a delicious toasted, vanilla almond with cinnamon and a hint of cherry wood.

Im building a collection of Almond based fragrances, and this has to be one of the best. A lovely sweet almond opening, not bitter, not overpowering, but sophisticated and quickly followed by florals and the divine balsamic and tonka base. The balance of almond and vanilla is beautiful, Definitely one of for the collectors, a masterpiece, and an absolute pleasure. The bottle itself is a conversation starter. Well done to the team, now i need to try a few more from this house!

I'm finding this more complex than I thought at initial sniff. Normally I'm leery of almond-scented fragrances because they come off as really synthetic. This is better than I expected. Powdery, for sure. But it has a resinous underpinning that gives it depth. The notes are blended really well and so I can't detect the florals separate from the heliotrope and resins. A strong like!

Well balanced gourmand fragrance, with almond, tonka, heliotrope and a hint of vanilla. It is not heavy and syrupy, but airy and light, still well detectable and with persistence. Office safe and day fragrance. For me is quite original, pleasant and classy, although notes are common. I am considering a full bottle. Recommended 4/5

My favorite almond fragrance, airy and not too rich. Initially I get almond and a sparkling green which quickly fades to flowers and almonds. I get that cherry tang as well. I love this part... the middle notes. Longer wear more vanilla and powdery sweetness comes in, still almond, touch of something woody and earthy. Big Love.

Smells incredible For five minutes Then it’s gone! I’m so sad. There is only one house that has made an almond fragrance with any staying power, and that is SERGE LUTENS DENTE DE LAIT. If anyone else knows of something different, let me know

a woody marzipan scent with a hint of cream soda or cola... super yummy and sweet but also a hint of darkness from the balsam woods... divine, and definitely best for F/W cold weather!

I'm getting a delicate almond baby powder. It's lovely. Luckily I don't get the synthetic smell, or medicinal note others mention.

I love the powdery almond. I wish it was slightly less medicinal but I still really enjoy it.

Recently got a sample of this. Very sweet in the opening, but eventually calms down to a very true to nature sweet almond scent, that too without starting to lean all the way towards marzipan like many other fragrances with almond notes. Frankly other than the (very lovely) almond, nothing much else is going on here, at least not to my nose. The only development to speak off is really the gradual decrease in all over sweetness. Projection is only worth mentioning for the first hour or two, afterwards it stays very close to the skin. However, it is definitely a very beautiful cozy cold/cooler weather scent for almond lovers. To be honest, I really really like it. It vibes really well with me. I kind of enjoy that it's not a huge jumble of sweet notes, but very clearly focused on one. But is it worth the price tag? Uff. I have THOO's Date perfume and love it a lot. But it's a whole lot more strong and out there. A big part of their fragrances' appeal are also their unique bottles that look amazing on any shelf. Most people won't even figure it's a perfume. But will I really buy one more bottle for a albeit lovely and long lasting, yet rather quiet and one dimensional scent? I really don't know. I think for me it falls into the category of 'I'd be happy if someone gifted it to me, but I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase it myself.'

This totally reminds me of Dior hypnotic poison in the perfume bottle. Different kind of sweet though I always sample my perfumes after my coffee and shower of the day with a clean nose. I’m constantly blind buying as I just rely on notes that I read. I’m also always selling a lot too lol. I quite enjoy this Perfume. I wouldn’t find it to be office safe though cause it’s got quite a punch. Keep in mind I sprayed this four times.I don’t know why I smell violet, but it’s definitely doll head , play dough to me. once it is settled, I smell very light orange powder. I won’t be selling this bottle. Additionally 12 hours later it’s still a very strong skin scent, and I only sprayed the outside of my wrist. Almond and vanilla holds its own very well

First blast of sunny sweet almond and heliotrope, very soft and powdery. The almond stays very true during the dry down, almost teetering in to sweet marzipan. I understand why some other reviewers get the Play-Doh vibe too. I've been fooled by this house before, thinking that the scent fades super fast. I'm hoping that a little patience will prove the dry down will intensify the performance, so will check again later. Projection is negligible though. Unisex though slightly feminine leaning and best for all weather, day or night. 6+ hours later: Faded from my skin at the 4th hour and mostly gone by the 6th but yes, the dry down was stronger than the initial spray. One of the longer performances from this house.

This is beautiful, but to my nose it smells like Dior's Feve. Feve is more aromatic (the lavender and mint) and a little less sweet for the first 5-10 minutes, but in the dry down they smell almost identical. It must be the tonka and resins/amber, but both spend the majority of the time smelling like powdery amber and sweet cherry on me. I think I've overdosed on almond, tonka and heliotrope, lol. Definitely worth sampling though if almond~cherry is your thing. Thanks, Pixie, for the generous decant of a very lovely perfume.

This opens up with mostly vanilla and some almond, with the almond taking over as the fragrance develops. I wasn't the biggest fan of the opening-it's a very synthetic vanilla and smelled like a vanilla-scented bathroom air freshener. However, as it developed I started to enjoy it more. It goes from vanilla-dominant to a warm, nutty, and sugary almond. It's similar to Etro Heliotrope, but this is slightly sweeter and I don't get a cherry effect that I get with the Etro. This is nice, but not a "must have".

Nutty perfumes,not too sweet not too creamy.Almond that has similarity to cherry scent but it doesn't make it fruity also.Just cozy powdery almond .It's feminine, almost gourmand but still smells like perfume.Its not love at first sniff, but every time I lay my nose on it..it captivated my heart with its uniqueness. The bottle also very pretty and artsy..If you want it to be more gourmand and nutty layered it with Hermetica sandalsun..hmm heaven

Wasn’t a great fan of the initial burst, almost synthetic plastic smell. Thankfully disappears very quickly. Then it’s a nice almond and vanilla blend on a tonka musky base. The Iris is there when smelt close up, giving it some powdery vibe, in a good way. The almond does disappear after a couple of hours and it turns into a Iris powder bomb. Longevity is average on my skin. Is it something unique? No, but still a good fragrance.

Smells just like buttery, lemon-y almond biscotti. Smooth, sweet and powdery but nothing in excess. A delicious scent for gourmand lovers without feeling sickeningly sweet. I like it :) The only cons would be the sillage, which feels juuust a tad weak, and the price point is high for what the fragrance offers imo. Worth it if you are into the scent, but I would definitely recommend sampling before buying.

This is ALMOST my perfect cherry-almond scent, but it’s just too powdery for me. Still, a lovely fragrance. Edit: About a year later, and I gave it another try. My sense of smell must have evolved because now I’m head over heels for this one. 😍 I still get the powder, but its “too muchness” has vanished. Now I just get sweet almond extract kneaded into spiced pastry dough.

The opening was terrible with synthetic bitter almond, like a strong fake almond essential oil, however, it dries down slowly within an hour or so and becomes enjoyable. Transforms into a marzipan / almond / vanilla candy kind of scent. Gourmand for sure, but with a strong annoying opening. Longevity is ok, 4 to 6 hours max..

This is THE gourmand almond perfume i have been searching for! Amaretto, little spicy, mildly sweet, tonka goodness! Smells like almond cookies but the fragrance is very light. Does not project much at all. The bottle is a sight to behold but it is quite annoying to use.

To me this is a powdery and airy almond scent from start to finish (linear). Nutty and a tad warm with moderate projection/sillage. Lasts a moderate amount of time on my skin (about 5 hrs). Very pleasant but not too exciting.

This one smells like a good bowl of honey cereal. Besides that, I’m getting a milky, almondy, vanilla accord, which works just brilliantly. I would only wear this at home in the winter time, as it’s so inviting and cozy.

I agree with @Rayy.an completely. Very almond heavy in the opening and screechy, but settles down and over time becomes sweeter and the vanilla comes out more. It starts smelling like almond vanilla paste.

Smells a lot like amaretto which is one of my favorite liqueurs. With a touch of vanilla. Kind of gourmand to me, almost like some sort of sweet almondy vanilla cake. I like it :)

I thought I wasn't going to like it (because of almond), but turned out very good! I think the success lies in its surprisingly balsamic facets.

I forgot how good this was. I want to eat my arm! Reminds me of visiting those small german/french towns where they sold marzipan everywehere.

The start is synthetic, but quite pleasant, almond and cherry. Not creamy almond, but more bitter, marzipan, not too sweet. But... after two hours everything turns into a scented gel candle, causing a headache. Personally, I don't like candles, especially gel ones, so this turn is completely unacceptable.

I loved the first 30 minutes of this perfume- beautiful almond, intoxicating heliotrope that gave this a slight cherry, yummy florals-- it is a dream 10/10 BUT... after 30 minutes this turns into something musty and dusty on my skin. It reminds me of the smell inside of old car sitting in the sun for years . It was so sad because I truly thought this might be a holy grail fragrance for me. Everybody's skin chemistry is different and if this maintains the beautiful scent on your skin without turning musty this is a must buy!

cherry-leaning almond baby powder/baby oil; it’s not a rich gourmand to my nose at all, but rather a light and airy “clean girl” almond fragrance - something to put on out of the shower for a night at home. However, I also want to note that it sometimes goes a synthetic hairspray/hot flatiron hair smell on me. I have other frags that I love for a “clean-girl” gourmand purpose, and so this one is not full bottle worthy for me.

Looking for a nice winter gourmand my sales assistant brought me this. Yuck, this smells like fake almond and vanilla plastic. Do not recommend, it is long-lasting tho so if you wish to smell like sugar-coated Aliexpress with a very expensive and silly bottle, get this!

I DO NOT like this! It is not a sweet gourmand almond. It smells almost medicinal! DO NOT BLIND BUY! SAMPLE FIRST! I wish I did! I'll keep it though because the egg is beautiful sitting next to What About Pop. Now THAT is a safe blind buy MASTERPIECE!!!

Yuckk i really can't stand this. I had to scrub my wrist off after applying a spray of this.

I blind bought this mostly for the bottle and I remember thinking that even if it didn't work for me, I would have a very beautiful paperweight. Luckily, I will not have to go down that route as I am very pleased with it. It is one of my most successful blind buys of all time. Now to the scent - It has a very prominent almond note (who woulda thunk?). If you are familiar with the bitter almond note, you know it can come off very screechy and piercing, somewhat reminiscent of patchoulli. As you are aware, patchoulli dominant fragrances often smell harsh and are thus polarizing - Angel men, Angel, patchoulli imperial to mention a few. Only very few patchouli heavy fragrances are able to rein in the patchouli note - Coromandel comes to mind. As mentioned previously, the almond note has a similar scent profile to patchouli and as a result, many almond dominant fragrances also come off a little synthetic/screechy - think hypnotic poison by dior or Dolce acqua by profumum roma. The almond in this is a little more in sync with the rest of the composition (which is mostly vanilla/Tonka) and i feel that the name of the fragrance is very well deserved as all the notes appear to be very well blended and in 'harmony' although the almond still dominates. This smells very similar to Dolce Acqua which is not as smooth but performs better on my skin. If you are a fan of almonds and do not mind sweet fragrances, give this a sniff! Projection - 7/10 Sillage - 8/10 Longevity - 6-8 hours Scent - 9/10 Overall, I would rate this fragrance an 8 out of 10.

"AHHHHH MY OHHH MY"... was the first words came out from me when i first sniffed this blend! an ALMOND HEAVEN. It has that semi bitter semi sweet almonds top note that blended quite perfect for a certain of time till it dried down and the almond vanishes almost for good and remains the scented hard hand soup smell! After around 2 hours the almonds vanishes, and the heliotrope, ylang, balsam, musk remains still and conquers leaving the blend to smell like a hand soap with some mild iris, and mild jasmines while the vanilla, tonka, & almonds disappears. It begins SUPER and ends meh somehow, but i can't decide if it's good or not until i test it again. Edit (3rd Jan 2018) it has mineral water and tiny metallic notes added on to almonds, vanilla, ylang, & heliotrope. It does go kind of metallic when it calms down which makes it a bit bad somehow. As I wrote before, it begins super and ends meh although the end has that almond after taste so it doesn't end bad, it just end less than fair. Edit (4th Jan 2017) The more i wear it, the more i realize what it is about! it is truly almonds, and not the usual vanilla sugar coated almonds, but the roasted, yet raw almonds and the base is like the smell of the last almond powder that you can find in the base of an almond bag.

الموند هارمونی یه عطره بادومی و لطیفه که از اول تا آخر تلاش شده تا بادوم فرد اعلی رو تقدیم شما کنه و در این زمینه موفق عمل کرده. عطر با رایحه ی بادوم که نرم و درخشان و کمی پودریه باز میشه. این بادوم نرم و آبدار و کِرِمی مانند در قلب کار وارد فضایی صمغی و دودی میشه که که مثل بوی چرم واکس خورده هست. البته نه چرم فاخر و شاهانه؛ نه! چرم دست چندم که بیشتر به فوم شباهت داره و با کلی واکس از برند نوستالژیک بلدرچین، جلاش دادن. بعد از اینکه این فضای چرمی-صمغی-بادومی افت میکنه؛ باز هم بادوم باقی می مونه که دیگه نرم و درخشان نیست و با حضور تونکا و آفتاب پرست؛ حالتی خشک و ترد پیدا کرده. بادوم خشک و خاکی الموند هارمونی؛ در یه بستر فلورال و پودری، که اونهم باعث قدرت گرفتن رایحه بادومی عطر میشه؛ داستان رو به اتمام میرسونه. الموند هارمونی نشر و موندگاری نسبتا ضعیف داره که در بهترین شرایط متوسطه. رایحه ی منحصربفرد و آسمانی هم نداره و امضای این برند رو هم با خودش داره: هرچی داری رو همون دقایق اول رو کن؛ باشد به نشانی بنشیند... کامنت: م.ع (سایت لوکس بایر (با امکان تست سمپل

Scent-wise, there aren't a lot of surprises here. Almond is front and center, and presented in a really faithful, well-rounded way. In the open, I get a big, boozy, Amaretto chord, complete with the hints of stonefruit and red fruit that you might find in a high quality almond confection. The heart of the fragrance is a more moderated almond presentation, with the vanilla and tonka providing gentle accompaniment to the sweetness and creaminess of the central theme. Florals are present but very subdued, and once you're past the top notes, the sweetness is gentle and balanced. Longevity is really outstanding--still gently present going on 12 hours. What's more, this is a very consistent fragrance that doesn't change character dramatically for most of that time. I found projection to be quite modest but totally adequate, wearing close to the skin but clearly detectable throughout the day.
