Just bought a bottle of this after trying it at ScentFest SF. It's delicious. The idea behind is to capture the imperfect beauty of Italy and it's based on a drink that people drink in the summer, ice cold milk with peppermint in it. You definitely get the mint initally and then it settles into a comforting gourmand scent that is really unusual but sophisticated. Not sure it's a blind buy but so worth a try. Plus the bottle is STUNNING!

This must be a joke... and probably it is. This one should be a "latte e menta" (milk and mint) fragrance, a quite popular drink in Italy back in the '80s and '90s (THoO is an italian brand) and I'm a big fan of that drink, I'm still enjoying it in the summer nowdays at home (it is a thing of the past so bar don't serve it anymore) and for this reason I was very exciting to try this (a friend gave me a 2ml taken at the esxance) and for the same reason I'm so disappointed with it. The opening reminds me a little bit of latte e menta but it is just few minutes than it starts to smell extremely confused and synthetic, even scratchy. I can smell the mint but it is just drowned into this orrible mix of synthetic amberwoody materials, there is some javanol, probably some polysantol and for sure a good dose of gamma-nonalactone amongs more synthetic musks and different lactones. What a mess. Probably I could do something better with 4-5 euros of materials, and this thing is priced at 225 euros for 75ml. This is so badly blended and rushed that I'm really surprised to see it coming to the market in this formulation and from a brand and a perfumer (Cristian Calabro) that showed more than once to be able to make good things. At least it won't last long or project too much. What a shame.

At first, the smell is all about sharp mint sweets. Thankfully, this only lasts about 30 seconds after spraying, then it settles into a creamy mint accord. To be honest, I don't get any milk-based drink or gourmand vibes from it. Instead, it reminds me of a creamy cleaning product. After about an hour, the fragrance calms down, settling closer to the skin. A subtle sweetness emerges over a woody base. To me, the mint smells quite synthetic; it's definitely not reminiscent of the smell of fresh mint leaves rubbed between your fingers. Even in hot weather, it never feels cloying or nauseating. It creates a soft, creamy cloud around the wearer. This fragrance is pretty controversial. I can't say it was love at first sniff, nor that it's a perfect match for my taste, but I find myself repeatedly smelling my wrist. I'll update this review after I've worn it a few more times.

Like melted mint ice cream then on me the sandalwood in the dry down becomes more like a powdery creamy iris. It goes on cool, warms up, then cools down again. Very nice, but doesn't really remind me of 'amore.' Like Thornton's mint ice cream used to smell, I've not eaten it for years.
