Bonbon Pop

I have so many fragrances on my wishlist and I’ve already blind bought so many niche fragrances but when it comes to dipping my toes into this specific house I can’t seem to make up my mind. Keep Glazed has been on my list for over a year now but I always end up purchasing something different and now that I’ve heard amazing things about BonBon Pop once again I find myself wondering if I should push keep glazed to the back burner again or not because the notes themself and the way both are talked about in reviews have my gut telling me that BBP is the one I should purchase but the egg itself is so beautifully done with Keep Glazed that I’m just in awe of the beauty knowing it would look like art in my collection but at the same time none of the eggs are ugly it’s just my personal taste has me enjoying the abstract colors from Keep Glazed. Another wishlist fragrance is Carioca Heart which I plan to get immediately once it’s back in stock and that’s a mango fragrance so I’m wondering if I even need two mango forward drags because I’m not an overly fruity lover to begin with. Would love to know others opinions on the three different fragrances because I want them all and don’t know which I should go for first. If any of you reading this had a choice would you choose bonbon pop, keep glazed, or wild card carioca heart?

So I ended up purchasing Bon Bon Pop. However Keep Glazed is definitely next! Anyways I think I made the right call. This bottle in person is even more stunning and the fragrance was love at first sniff which does not happen much for me when it comes to niche because usually you need to allow some oxygen to get in there so notes can settle and yet I found myself loving it right away and over the few days I wore it the notes only became richer and even more delectable. This is a very fresh white peach powdered with pure brown sugar. There’s a little bit of coconut making things both fresh and creamy on the skin. It’s somehow the perfect amount of sugary sweetness without being too much at all. It’s the perfect amount that gets you hooked and makes you continue to smell yourself or take the cap off to smell the atomizer. This fragrance makes me more excited to delve deeper into THOO because the bottles are pure magic they are so beautiful and I cannot wait to add more to my collection. I’ve heard some good things about Ruby Red so that one as well as empathy are also on my mind after keep glazed.

From the reviews below, I’m assuming this scent is either a love or hate type of scent, so test it out before buying. But personally it’s a love for me! I find this such a smooth and sugary peach fragrance. It’s one of my favourites from the house. The peach smells very realistic and not synthetic at all. It just smells like a super sweet ripe peach sprinkled with sugar and some vanilla ontop. Yummy! Imagine a peach candy made with real peach and some vanilla added to it. Also, it has a soft powdery vibe to it too! The powder is like a powdered sugar I love it! 🍑🍦🍬 Overall, this is a very smooth and delicious scent that has a bon bon confectionary vibe to it. If you love gourmands and peach fragrances, you will love this one. Ps, I personally smell no patchouli at all, or atleast it is not prominent to my nose. Also, I don’t smell coconut either.

My 2ml sample arrived yesterday and I've fallen in love overnight, so much so that I've ordered this online this morning from the States. I don't usually order anything to Australia from overseas, far happier to wait for stock to arrive in our online stores than risk any damage and ridiculous postage costs, but on this I couldn't wait. This has me by the short and curlies. It to my nose, is a perfect blend of gourmand, musky floral and a touch of fruits scent. It projects like crazy and lasts a good 6+ hours on my skin and clothes. I could immediately smell it still when i woke up after i sprayed it on late last night and I slept like a baby! I can now see the hype over this fragrance. I have nothing quite like it in my large collection. And that gorgeous bottle. 😍 I shall be counting the days and watching my email for updates eagerly. ❤️

The first impression when I sprayed it mislead me, I liked it but thought nothing much of it. Later my eyes widened - I really love this confectionary airy quality of it. I’m imagining bon bons that are sold at the store where pippi longstocking went, hardened melted sugar just like the top layer of a creme brûlée. After falling in love with this in the store I got a decant and put it aside and neglected it probably due to the summer weather. Only now during Autumn I’ve decided to wear it again and it’s so perfect and cocooning, sniffing this makes me melt like sweet words from your crush. It makes me light on my feet and evokes the feeling of crushing on someone.

Bonbon Pop is delicious! It’s a sweet, fruity gourmand with a warm, woody and slightly fresh dry down. I am impressed with how balanced the notes in this are. You can smell each note...peach is the star of the show... but it is beautifully blended. It’s candy sweet but in no way cloying in my opinion but I could definitely see an oversprayer getting a headache. This is a knockout for spring and summer but the wood notes, amber and brown sugar is so warm, I would wear this all year round day or night. It performs very well. As a below comment mentioned, this is not a safe blind buy but absolutely worth trying out.

I was afraid of jumping the gun on this one, but I am glad I did. Luckily, I don’t get the sweetness people are talking about on my skin. I am no gourmand fan. The peaches here are sour, like Tom Ford’s, which I really like. I get the coconut, the musk, the flowers and the woods, but not really a sugar note. It is beautiful, I love it! Performance is really good as well!

Me recordó totalmente a Angel, si! De locos! Pero me recordó por montones. Sin la bomba de patchulí y sin chocolate, pero definitivamente con las notas descritas, coco, durazno, miel, bergamota, almizcle, ámbar, y un dejo leve de patchulí. Es delicioso como Angel, pero totalmente usable estos tiempos y muy alagado.

I've sampled a ton of new releases recently and hardly anything landed on my wishlist. But Bonbon Pop is a different story. It's such a likeable fragrance, doesn't take you into any new, experimental territorries, but it's unique enough to be added to my vast gourmand collection. And the bottle is just stunning!

Bonbon Pop is one of my favorites from the House of Silage. It does open up fresh and musky. Love this scent and the fruity goodness just comes rushing in. 10 out of 10 for me. You can wear this when you want there is no particular season. You must love a fruity scent though. Not Juvenile at all.

i hate to admit that the ridiculous price tag this perfume comes with is justified. absolutely delicious yet somehow not overly sweet, mixed with a bit of fruit. this is one of those scents that just are unforgettable. will linger on clothes for pretty much the whole day. love it, no notes.

Sweet, creamy, musky. The drydown is delicious. I am a big hater of patchouli, but even though it’s quite prominent on the first spray, it disappears very quickly and there is not patchouli in site in the dry down thankfully. If you like a sweet, creamy, peachy perfume, this is it.

Extremely nice, has a mass appealing sweetness to it. I only get hints of coconut, however the amber is very prominent and the sweetness comes off like molasses sugar, like a dark sweetness. Very good perfume, recommend getting a sample as opposed to blind buying.

I love it soooooo much, I have more 13 bottles from The House Of Oud and this Colction it's more Longevity and sillage, amazing feminine fragrance for 2023 😍, I can worn all year specially in night 🌙

I really love this perfume. If you’re a fan of gourmand fragrances this is a great choice for an evening perfume with sweet and woody fragrances combined. Gourmand lovers MUST try this.

Bonbon pop is my favorite from the Crazy collection. It’s sweet, fruity and woody. I feel like this can be worn in all seasons.

Today is my first try on this new perfume from Thoo, and i’m surprised! This perfume is so much fun, it has candy shop vibes. On my skin, at first there’s a blast of very sweet peach, sweet like gummies or some kind of chewy candy. After a few minutes, the coconut comes forward, it’s a bit artificial and it has a bit of caramelized smell, probably it’s the brown sugar. Musk gives a clean feeling to the fragrance. This perfume is pretty linear, after like half an hour it stays the same. Moderate sillage, long lasting perfume. Definitely feminine, i couldn’t imagine this on a man at all. I wouldn’t recommend blind buying this perfume, i think this won’t be for everyone. I love sweet fruity scents, but this is sweet as a jam or a chewy candy and not as a fresh fruit. I think for some, it can be even a bit cloying. Fun smell, but not as complex as others from the house. I think this is a fun, everyday perfume for a young audiance, but can’t imagine it on a more mature woman. I’m not sure it’s worth a firm spot in my collection or it’s fb worthy, but i’ll be happy to use my decant, to smuggle some playfulness into boring everydays.

This fragrance has been out for at least a year, and I'm shocked that no one has pointed out how incredibly similar it is in the dry down to BDK Pas Ce Soir, especially the Extrait version. I own both and tested them side by side, and while Bonbon Pop opens more bright and fruity, it dries down to a sweet, fruity, ambery vanilla that is very reminiscent of Pas Ce Soir. It's safe to say that if you like one, you will like the other. Based on the notes I expected something a bit more tropical, and while it is a very pretty, feminine fragrance, it's not that unique and you've probably smelled something like this before. I have to say that longevity is pretty good (I get up to 8 hours on my skin) and the fragrance seems to come alive when worn outside, on a moderately warm day. The bottle design is 10/10. I would recommend sampling before buying and not going in with very high expectations.

Surprisingly, I really like this!! The reviews are half & half so I was a little worried because I don't typically go for sweet or gourmond scents. The bottle is stunning and what originally caught my eye for this line and although this is sweet, it's not a candy-sweets-scent but instead I get a fruity, juicy, scent w/ a base of brown sugar. I don't get the patchouli on my skin, but under the juicy/fruity sweetness, there is a warm amber/musk that I love. Overall a nice and unique scent for my collection. Good for evenings or cooler days but I can see it being nice during warm seasons, too!

Was looking for a fruity fragrance w/ some depth here, but it comes off a bit differently than I expected. At first glance, I get a tangy/sweet/fruity peach liquor/cooked down peach, but it quickly settles into a patchouli'd brown sugar fragrance ( reminiscent of Kayali's style). It smells lovely, but I'm not sure if I need it and it definitely doesn't meet my summer expectations, personally - hoping for something a bit peachier to make it worth adding to my collection!

Smells similar to Tiziana Terenzi Cassiopeia. Also in the same vein as Draco & Kirke. Fruity top notes with a powdery musky dry down. This also smells similar to Clive Christian X Feminine but with a creamy essence... Testing this again and without remembering all of the notes I instantly got coconut. So I came to check and there in fact is coconut. It fades quickly tho. I wish the note stuck around longer because I really enjoyed it.

I wanted to try this one so bad! Straight from the beginning, it's a bright ode to peach. Juicy, sugary, but not overly sweet, leaning more towards the dark, earthy side thanks to the patchouli. If you know the notes, you'll catch hints of coconut too, but it's definitely not the star of the show. It dries down veeery sexy! I think this scent will shine even more in autumn or on cooler summer nights.

First of all, I love it when the perfume name already tells you what to expect. This indeed smells like candy, although I have only sampled it on a paper. To me it smells as if you layered Devotion and Cassiopea, although the notes are nothing like any of those perfumes. I don’t need this perfume but I want something from this collection because the presentation is just gorgeous.

Okay it's definitely a clone of Kajal Dahab, smells almost identical. And it has some kirke tiziana, xerjoff erba pura dna in there too... The fruity smell is closer to passionfruit & apple combination like in kirke and dahab. Overall amazing scent, girls are gonna love this one. Blind buy safe for woman

Nice and pleasant scent. You can really smell the brown sugar mixed with the peach and coconut and the other notes adding more to the overall composition. But it really is nothing outstanding, if I didn't know which house this was from I would assume this was a mainstream designer scent.

Bonbon Pop is like a delicious candy shop exploded on my skin! The white peach and coconut are super sweet and inviting, and the patchouli adds a nice grounding touch. It's definitely a gourmand fragrance, but not overwhelming. Perfect for a fun night out!

This smells so similar to sweet dreams by the house of silage! The only difference is this doesn’t have the boozy notes. This smells so good. It’s sweet, a bit fresh, and woodsy. Lasts long on skin. Projection is moderate.

This is the smell that makes my husband roll his eyes every time he smells this on me. I like this enough but he definitely likes it way more than me. Personally I love the bottle more than the smell itself lol

My absolute favorite from this house. Super warm with the brown sugar and woods, with the fresh peach in the background not doing too much. Be warned, patchouli is earthy. Good performance on clothes.

Pleasant. Sweet. Nothing special.

I was so excited for this scent and couldn't wait to test out my sample, hoping that I'd fall in love with it so I could have an excuse to purchase that gorgeous bottle. I love anything with a checkered print (blame it on my scene phase and one too many pairs of old school Vans perhaps) and it also reminded me a bit of Alice in Wonderland. The name which contained the word "pop" led me hoping that it'd be reminiscent of a big love of mine from this house, What About Pop, which is a caramel popcorn dream. I should'e inspected the notes a little further, they're glaringly obvious now staring back at me taunting "what were you thinking? The note breakdown reads eerily similar to Coco Vanille by Mancera. Brown Sugar, Peach, Patchouli? Who was I kidding? These are my top 3 hardest notes to pull off. Let's get to the breakdown of the scent. When I first applied it I was giddy with excitement. This was a realistic cotton candy fragrance on opening. Undeniably sweet but also so realistic, I felt like I was in line at the fair. If it'd stayed like this it would've been a full bottle, no hesitation. Then, the middle notes came in, and it jumbled everything together until it was a synthetic sticky whack in the nose. It suddenly no longer worked for me and began to smell familiar, and not in a good way. At first I thought maybe Bon Bon by Viktor & Rolf, since they share a namesake. Then it dawned on me: Velvet Vanilla by Mancera. I'd done my best to forget about that one, but the unmistakable synthetic toothache began to gnaw away at me again and make my stomach turn. This phase lasts too long for me to bear, which is a shame because a few hours later, it has a drydown that is actually pleasant again. We're back at the fair and this time in line for a vanilla sugar ice cream cone. I'm not sure what note it is that creeps it's way in to ruin what would've otherwise been a great fragrance on me, and then it finally heads out after it's spoiled the party and left all of my nose receptors clutching their stomach but it's present in quite a few modern perfumes. Is it a certain musk? The brown sugar? Peach is hit or miss but it's not the thing that's ruining this scent. It sticks around til the end and becomes tolerable once the intruder note has left. If it's patchouli, this is a patchouli that doesn't actually smell like patchouli. I would've welcomed the bitter relief that comes along with that note. I'm thinking it's the musk. I tested Valaya recently and that one also had a "musk" note and became sickening. I love certain musks so I guess I need to track down and dig a little further to find out which one it is. I'm putting a pause on testing any more house of oud scents until further notice, I did the same thing with Mancera a few years back. Are these houses related in some way or getting their materials from the same source? If you like sickeningly sweet perfumes, like Velvet Vanilla or Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait give this one a try, I guess. I'm going to start recommending this in the forums to the 15+ people that create a thread daily asking for such.

This was not what I was expecting. It opens up a bit sour and I generally quite like sourness but this was a bit sort of foisty sour, like a really old fragrance gone bad. Then when it dries down its much more pleasant but not really as sugary sweet as I expected with it having brown sugar in the base. It did remind me a little of Mula Mula and My Burberry Black towards the end of its wear but nowhere near as nice. The reminds me of section seems to heavily downvote every similar fragrance. Disappointed but I have some nice peachy fragrances anyway so its all good. The bottles are so creative and unique.

I sampled Bon Bon Pop and immediately fell in love with it, so I bought a bottle. Peachy brown sugar delight!! Bon Bon Pop is yummy!! I love fruity gourmands so this is right up my alley. It lasts all day on me and the bottle is stunning!! Perfect summer perfume as it's not cloying or heavy in the least. Very happy with this purchase!!

This is a fruity and musky perfume. After the top notes wear off, this perfume becomes strongly reminiscent of the V Canto Stricnina. Best time for this scent is spring, summer and early fall. Performance is also moderate. It’s an okay scent, but not a love.

Just decluttered because I could not jive with the musk and patchouli and it just wasn't sweet enough for me

To me this smells like Dior Hypnotic Poison mixed with Gossip Night by Gritti.

So, perhaps if one waits quite some time to try a fragrance, the fragrance cannot live up to all the hype. And sometimes, the fragrance is just bad. I received two, large, THOO samples with a recent purchase of a full bottle, niche perfume. I requested "Bonbon Pop" along with "What About Pop" because I heard so much about the fragrances and the perfumer. And I adore the bottles. However, given the price point of this stuff, I'm actually relieved the perfume is so awful. Relieved that I wouldn't dream of purchasing the stuff and annoyed because people are being duped. This. Is. Just. Bad. I won't even waste time reviewing this stuff. The fragrance is an overload of synthetic peach along with a foul mixture of patchouli and sugar. Just awful. And "What About Pop" is just as bad, if not worse than this fragrance. I feel this house is capitalizing on the current niche "gourmand" craze but moreso, on their artistic bottles, which really are mini works-of-art. Yes, packaging matters (I suppose). But this house is pandering to a group of people by literally selling "The Emperor's New Clothes." Their fragrances smell like a freshman in high school mixed the perfumes up in a chemistry lab. Really amateurish and awful. The fragrances are really garbage. Th bottles are gorgeous.

This fragrance has a name that makes it sound much cooler than it actually is. In reality, it's a heavy dose of labdanum, mixed with a caramel latte and peach. The thing about the style of peach that The House of Oud uses is that it's more like the scent left behind after you were eating a juicy peach and tried to lick peach juice off yourself as it dribbled down your arm. So, saliva plus peach juice. The really weird thing about this fragrance is that, when I drink coffee while wearing it, I can suddenly taste this perfume, and I would like the fragrance better if it smelled like it tastes. I think that the labdanum I smell in the beginning may be patchouli, and it's all you can smell in the dry down, even if you've scrubbed with 3 different soaps, alcohol, and makeup remover (yeah, I did that). This stuff is tenacious. I'm smelling it all day despite trying to rid myself of it. Anyhow, it's not really a favorite or anything I'd recommend for other than a fragrance experience, but plenty of people love it. So, it must work for someone.

I was about to blind buy the full bottle now for almost 2 weeks, but I was away on holiday and I also knew that I had an untouched sample of it at home so I decided I'd get home smell the sample and order, and yes I was about to order 35 seconds in to the opening seriously. Because the opening is sweet peach and its really nice, candied peach.😍 I said f$uck it and sprayed the sample all over thinking it's a winning acent. And then...... PATCHOULI comes by and takes over completely making the least favorite note combo ever (sorry!) Fruits and patchouli.. Fruitchuly if you will. It makes my stomach churn and I started to get a headache too. It's so strong too and it literally makes me feel sick. I'm so sad because I was looking forward to buy it and have that amazing bottle on my shelf, but yeah no not even the bottle can make up for the scent, and the bottle is STUNNING! So I guess that sums it up for ya..

Just opened my bottle this evening (blind buy) and I must say that this fragrance puzzles me. Upon the first couple of sprays, the peach note was not evident. I was greeted with a thick, ooey, gooey caramel. The kind you smell when you pass a southern confectionary right when they're adding heavy cream to the caramelized sugar in one of those large copper bowls. Granted, my box was just delivered and the molecules need time to settle. But, this is giving me autumnal and winter vibes at the moment. It's sweet and pleasant, and I might sound crazy for saying this..but the added musk in this is reminiscent of Navitus's Chocolate Queen in the dry-down. Look forward to seeing how it develops with time.

I like to smell a fragrance and guess the notes before looking at the actual notes. My guess was ambroxan paired with creamy vanilla coffee made with brown sugar. Once I saw the actual notes, I was floored because it's not fruity or tropical to me as the notes suggest. It's a coffee gourmand. I can smell the slightly bandaid smell of patchouli around the edges, especially as it develops because that note seems to just get stronger.

UPDATE: As the self-proclaimed President of the Beautiful Bottle Lovers club, I am sorry to report that I had to let this one go. I could not deal with all the synthetic notes in BBP. And that musk...Sheesh!!!! I really tried, for well over 2 months, but I just couldn't take it any longer. I really expected more from this house because I have a couple of fragrances from them that I'm incredibly happy with.

I had my bottle for about 6 months and the musk and patchouli just overtook everything. The opening is beautiful (in the air) but as it dries down the brown sugar and peach seem to fade and its not a gourmand or even a semi-gourmand anymore. All musk and woods. Note though I really dislike anything with a heavy musk and woody base. Almost kept it for the beautiful bottle though.

almost everything i've tried from THOO so far reads so much older than it should. i wish i got the overwhelming sweetness so many of the reviews seem to, because instead i get a very dull patchouli with the slightest hint of peaches. and also like everything i've tried from THOO, it's so weak and disappears after a couple hours. a resounding "meh." overall rating: 🩷🩷🖤🖤🖤 2/5

This is so syrupy but bad and synthetic way. When I first sniffed,I thought I liked it. But dry down is so syrupy so harsh. Big no for me. I’m glad I didn’t blind buy. You should test it on your skin before buy. If there is a good thing about it, it’s really long lasting
