Breath Of The Infinite

Not at all what I expected from the reviews. In my mind, this and grape pearls are the only bottle topper eggs from THOO that capture the feeling of the scent almost perfectly. Peachy fruity floral musk w/ aldehydes sounds dense, heavy, opressively long-lasting...and this is anything but. At least to me, this is a water park in a bottle. What do I mean by that? Hint of suntan lotion, chlorinated water, human muskiness, (which quite frankly sounds disgusting when I write it down, but this is beautiful) wafting to and fro lightly on an imagined breeze. This is an overall sense of clean, sun, calm/steady joy. For me...the noise of giddy laughing / running / shouting / screaming in mock terror at the waterpark creates a gentle murmering noise that blends together in the background in a comforting reassuring way that my ears largely tune out, allowing my hearing perception to awaken and become more alert and hyperfocused on my innermost thought and the things i choose to listen to. This does that with my nose. It wakes my nose up. I am aware it is there, but I smell the world around me too with an almost hyper focus. (e.g., I can clearly smell the trace minerals in the filered water I am drinking.) I think this would be an amazing sent to wear during meditation or prayer, and is thus aptly named. 0% doubt in my mind...Full Bottle worthy, and almost certainly my next purchase.

Waxy, earthy, fruity (peach) but ethereal, which makes it very interesting and very different. Four sprays and I can still smell it after 5h, scent becomes slightly nutty on the dry down, also maybe a bit like rice cooked with milk. Don’t know what it is about this scent but I really like it...Mhmmm, considering a full bottle... **Edit: I now have a full bottle. I find this scent very clean and fresh, my skin but better, with a touch of peach (this fruit is quite prominent on me). It’s not an innovative, unusual, mind-blowing scent, yet it is special in a quiet way...so if you want to get a clean, everyday, lovely scent that you can reach for without giving it much thought, try this one. I hear Musk Therapy is a similar vibe, I shall be testing it next.

I don't know if I have the vocabulary for this, but a previous poster described it as a water park and I think they're on to something. It definitely smells organic and fleshy and almost human, and uh, feminine perhaps as well. (but also very chemical?) There's a comforting, sulking milky vibe. It's like... sleeping with your depressed but beautiful and lovely girlfriend at a hotel after you get out of the pool. I liked it a lot, and I'm probably the only person who feels this way, but it lasted TOO long on me, like... Ten hours. I can't handle smelling something for TEN HOURS. Would have been a love otherwise. (I did reapply it in the middle of the day, should try again and see if it's more manageable.)

It seems like everyone has a different olfactory experience with this perfume. To my nose, the peony and base notes are the most prominent with the peach and freesia just a whisper against the composition. The musk has a saltiness to it that I absolutely love while the cashmeran dries down with a beautiful softness that rounds out the scent. Breath of the Infinite was my initiation into niche fragrances and it certainly is an unforgettable one. Ridiculous projection and lasts forever. Beautiful, complex. Will be one of my top tens forever.

Juicy powdery peach, so ethereal, smells like nothing i have ever tried. I imagine that’s how angels smell. Or a warm cat

This was quite unexpected. An unusual yet underwhelming soft, musky peach perfume, this is quite a departure from the other THoO perfumes I've tried. I've been blown away by the artistry of this brand previously - for instance, their creative, rich gourmands like What About Pop and the excellent oud that is Blessing Silence. Breath of the Infinite is also a creative composition, but it is the first one from this brand that I've found lacking. Pity about the beautiful white bottle. BOTI opens with softly sweet, musky peach and some muted sweet florals. The combination of peach and freesia reminds me of floral-fruities from the noughties, but the peach is dry and dusty instead of juicy. It feels papery, in the manner of pressed flowers and the vanilla-like molecule that is emitted from yellowed paper. As it develops, the musky peach remains, bolstered by the synthetic base notes. I'm not a fan of ambroxan or cashmeran, but here they are muted enough to not be headache-inducing. They add to the soft musky-amber blur that plays second fiddle to the peach. It stays fairly constant until it fades - musky peach with a subtle ambroxan cloud in the background. Sillage and longevity are moderate. A muted feminine perfume that features a creative use of peach and a nicely restrained use of trendy synthetic molecules, BOTI is an everyday, year-round perfume. Not bad, but certainly not full-bottle worthy for me. 3/5.

A lovely and very mysterious composition, this one falls into a somewhat animalic gourmand category like Land of Warriors but is a bit more feminine. The key notes here are musk, ambroxan and cashmere which are fortified with floral/gourmand notes such as freesia, peony and peach. Breath Of The perfume has a unisex appeal (leaning a bit on the feminine side)and has moderate to strong projection and sillage. The fragrance is very unique because mysterious compositions almost always tend to be a bit on the darker side. However here, there is considerable sweetening of the animalic mysterious notes that creates a lovely mystical juxtaposition of sweet and dark notes right from the beginning. It is like digging into a spice laden cake or dessert or like a pet freshly groomed. Very difficult to describe but very interesting and unique. I somehow love this feeling radiating around me. This is one of the most unique fragrances I've encountered so far in my scent journey. It's like nothing else I've ever smelled. To me, it smells like a real peach and black pepper. But there's an interesting aura around it that took me a while to figure out. Some people have mentioned it having a human smell of some sort, but it's not human musk. It took me a while, and I should have figured it out from the name of the fragrance, but it has an aura of breath. It reminds me of the standard breath of a toddler. So, it's fresh peaches, black pepper, and toddler breath. There is something slightly chemical about it that occasionally gives a fake fruit note like fake banana or fake strawberry when you sniff closely.

You're sitting on the porch swing in the morning, just after sunrise, waiting for your wife to get home from her jog. It's the springtime, and faint wisps of air come in from your garden, which is just barely starting to bloom. You munch on a lukewarm peach and savor the moment. She finally comes running around the corner, and you continue swinging, checking her out, watching her long shadow stretch out over the yard. She climbs up the steps, slowly, out of breath, beaming, and dripping with sweat. She takes the cold glass of milk out of your hands and takes a few drinks between gasps for air, then kisses you before going inside to change. Breath Of The Infinite by The House of Oud.

First blast of sweet creamy banana. As it dries, a powdery tone begins to overlay the banana. Do not get any peach or floral notes as listed. Fresh and sweet, tropical and moist. Fades pretty fast as I've sadly come to expect from this house and what remains turns to a more synthetic note, like banana chewing gum. Still pleasant though. Feminine and best for warm days. 6+ hours later: the sweet banana scent is still faintly there

Umm, it reminded me of hommade raki at first sniff for some reason, but ignore this part if you've never tasted raki. If we ignore that I think I get all the notes in here. Flowery peach with a faint sweetness completed with musk. It's a perfect "my skin but better" scent. It smells natural, like a person's natural skin smell at it's best. It's not loud in a good way. On me it sits close to the skin.

This has to be one of the biggest jokes played on fragrance lovers around the globe. To call BOTI soft, musky scent is an understatement. I almost collapsed a lung trying to smell it. How can you have such a beautiful bottle to hold a fragrance that is nearly odorless. EDIT: Took Youkay's advice below and used it to layer other scents. It's so much enjoyable now!

A peach forward scent. Not bad but after Bitter Peach this is just mediocre. Interesting to note that I very often have problem not being able to smell scent with musk ingredient. This, however, was not a problem for me. Edit. It was still on my wrist after 9hrs as a skin scent.

To me, this smells like the mood the day after you’ve had your heart broken. It’s raw, it’s beautiful, it’s real and visceral. It’s slightly challenging, but feels like growth and the human experience.

This and Cow share something similar; they’re both lactonic fruity. But in the drydown, this gives me just a glimpse of This is Her! Zadig & Voltaire. Just a smidge. They’re not similar, it’s just the cashmeran and lactonic nature of both perfumes

Apparently this fragrance has specific reactions on different skin types, on me it is literally nothing. A vague musky scent somewhere far far away. It is a shame though, because I really like the notes.

Based on reviews, I was intrigued. I acquired a decant. On me, this fragrance is practically odorless. I layer it with other perfumes. To be honest, I do not notice any fragrance benefits in wearing it alone, or in layers. Disappointed.

Whew, I tried. This is a hodge-podge of a perfume. It smells very synthetic and cheap and I couldn't stand it. I collect perfume and have never smelled anything like this. It's a major scrubber.

This has been driving me insane! Firstly - surprisingly, I absolutely love it, in spite of myself (not a big fan of fruity fragrances, but there's always the sniper that catches me unawares). Secondly, how in hell do I describe this one without using the word "peaches"? Can't be done! So, here goes. I went through the gamut of "associations", feelings, sounds and images which this perfume conjured. Sounds: A Hot Hits album playing in the background, A Horse With No Name, Blockbuster, Tie a yellow Ribbon Round the Old Oak Tree, Donny Osmond, David Cassidy, Life on Mars.... images, my friend's tiny bedroom, a selection of christmas presents laid out on the bed, a question; "why did they give me a set of pens called grand pricks? (Grand Prix, she couldn't read too well), the smell of those pens, plasticky, chemical inky scent. Touch. Something small and round, smooth, sounds (giggling, "it looks like a bum!"), it was the peach shaped lid of a talcum powder bottle by Avon! Various floral talcum powders and bath cubes wrapped in silver foil from Boots The Chemist, freesia, lily of the valley, honeysuckle, innofensive fragrances for a young girl, stripped of any hint of sexual "come on". The smell of the washing powder drifting upstairs from the twin tub galumphing away on the weekly wash. The smooth round thing which looks like a bum REALLY is a tiny, pretty plastic peach. It smells of plastic and peaches. I smelled something similar when my youngest son was little, Tesco peach flavoured fizzy water, his treat, but full of aspartame. I will be gutted when this little sample runs out. It's another little time machine, a whole boatload of memory items in a magical bag, shaken and served up by House Of Oud.

Breath of the Infinite is an unusual scent that pairs a very prominent synthetic core with a kind of frivolous fruity/floral theme. The result is something more challenging to describe than it is exciting to wear. I'm being very careful to use the word "synthetic" here, as it would be wrong to call this fragrance artificial--there is no artifice going on here. The perfumer isn't hiding anything in this composition. The synthetic elements of the fragrance are front and center, but they're not pretending to be something other than they are--instead of masquerading as notes one might recognize, they're playing on impressions and vague sense-memories that are at once familiar while also indescribable. So much the sadder, then that the most recognizable elements are a rather one-note peach accompanied by light florals. I could only come away from this with the impression of overthinking something rather unserious, and while there's nothing unpleasant about the total package, I wasn't at all disappointed when my sample vial was empty.

I’m so underwhelmed by this, I really want to cry. It literally smells like NOTHING ! Just a milky smell that lasts forever. For this price tag? Words fail me really. How can the smell of NOTHING be so long lasting? DO NOT BLIND BUY. I suffered for you to be saved. Scrub! Scrub! Scrubbbbbbb !!!!! Edit 01/08/2022 Y’all, I layered this with Tom Ford bitter peach and OMG !!!! The compliments were too numerous to keep track of. It amped up bitter peach by several levels. Also layered it with my tiziana terenzi Kirke and La Nuit tresor and it was the exact same thing. It’s official - THOO breathe of the infinite is for layering !!! It’s potent to a fault and it amps up the sillage and longevity of every and any scent and literally turns the weakest performer to beast mode. While I still can’t wear it on it’s own, I have No more regrets and am totally considering getting a back up bottle. Lol 😂

I never thought there were peaches! Soft milky creamy blend of cashmere, peony, amber, and light musk. Quite soft and close to skin with hints of sweetness. I really don't know how peaches are voted to be the top note!? It's more of a soft cashmere blend in a light cream texture. Impressive. Btw, this doesn't smell like "Peche Cardinal" by MDCI at ALL! Edit (3rd Jan 2017) i am sampling it again, and i realized why i didn't detect the beaches before! it's because of the strength of the peony, & freesia musk blend. The peaches isn't dominant at all, but the peony and freesia are. It's quite soft, and addictive.

There are a few fragrances I've tried that run in a similar vein as this one, namely Floating by Liis. However the Peach is much more apparent and fresh in this one and less synthetic and for that I prefer it! It's really lovely and I usually find myself yearning for something a bit more after trying the fruity cotton variety of perfume but this one is simple and yet satisfying. It's a fluffy soft white musky peach perfume. If you're expecting anything more complex you'll be disappointed. There is beauty in simplicity at least when that's what you're signing up for.

there is a japanese shampoo that smells EXACTLY like this but i can't remember its name. I also see the comparison with zoologist cow. this is a powerful synthetic musk on me with a bit of generic fruity smell. not gonna lie, i thought it would be way more interesting based on the polarizing reviews. also shocked some people couldn't smell it because it was PERSISTENT on me - can still smell it after 12+ hours and kind of wishing it would fade. fine if you want a really powerful shampoo vibes fragrance but don't see myself wearing this one.

Ginger, medicinal facets, fuzzu peach, old school (slightly stinky) musk and a weird, aldehydic, lactonic note that is really hard to describe. I guess this would be something for lovers of synthetic civet + clean white musk in a hard-to-grasp combination. The composition in itself is strange. Not something I would reach for often, there are a lot better musky scents out there. Maybe it you have them all and want to feel something new.

This is the most unusual scent I've ever had. It is certainly not a safe blind buy. This is an extremely prominent earthy scent, it reminds me of an old cellar smell, musky soil is the most proper way to describe it. It is strange, but somehow addictive. When I am wearing it, I want to smell my wrist all the time somehow.

Smells Like: Peach yogurt from a cute kawaii shoppe. Clear skin and clean shiny hair that smells like peach blossom. Giant Ghibli clouds. The inside of an extra cute mini car from those videos in Japan, where only one person and their dog fits, with a Hello Kitty bumper sticker.

I am conflicted. I am obsessed with this smell, but at the same time, the ambroxian smells like swimming pool chlorine. It's a strange, expansive, clean alluring scent.

I get cream, peach, and chalk from this fragrance. Which makes it feminine leaning. However, a well dressed man can easily wear this. I think it may be bottle worthy.

Oof, nope. Comes off like wet cardboard that's been sitting in milk or something like that. Not a fan at all. It is pretty unique at least, I'll give it that much.
