Pure Diamond

Tranding Pear. I don't know why but it seems that pear is tranding in this period, and we have another take on this sweet, creamy note. On this the opening is quite interesting because the sweet creaminess of the pear is associated with spices, pepper and cinnamon, to create a very bright still "soft" feeling, Frankincence is just an hint, don't be scared by the note listed in the opening. Then the rose kicks in to create this light, sweet, creamy feeling, everything is brigth, very uplifting, almost "transparent" mood, expecially in a sunny but fresh day as today (I tend to consider this fragrance more suitable for day rather than night). When the fragrance evolves in the drydown even if the notes change the feeling remains the same, creaminess of the sandalwood accord and freshness from the smooth musks with some nuances from the florals (I cannot pinpoint the Hyacinth listed, but I have to admit that I'm not very familiar with the note so who knows). I noticed here and there that this is often compared with Guidance Eau de Parfum but I cannot agree on this. Even if they have in common the pear and the florals this has nothing of the tipical heavy-kitsch style that characterizes Amouage brand. Quite the opposite, here everything is light, airy, yet sweet and creamy. Guidance is much ticker, and the Bisch-Akigalwood signature makes it extremely long lasting and even obsessive. I imagine that many will consider this feminine leaning because of the sweet and floral profile but I don't see any reason for a male to skip this in general. So to conclude, even if this is not my kind of fragrance (I tend to lean into fugéres when I want some fresh uplifting fragrance) I definetely like this work from Cristian Calabro, it is a really well done blend with no drawbacks at my nose.

💎. My impression: I love the packaging, but I'm a bit disappointed with myself for buying such a small sample. It has the DNA of The House of Oud, which is good, but I need to test it more. The projection is good. If I buy it, it will be from a discount fragrance store.

It opens fresh with a light fruity touch, then slowly leans into soft florals with a hint of warmth in the background. Nothing too loud or overwhelming. The dry down is smooth with musk and a bit of amber, giving it a calm, slightly elegant finish.

VERY UNIQUE SHOULD BE WORE BY ROYAL FEMALES IN CEREMONIES HARD TO FIND AN OCCASION TO WEAR IT BUT STILL GREAT

I generally like warm spices in a perfume but here it is just too much of everything. A lot of smoky notes and dark amber, just suffocating. A pretty bottle though.

Ok. If I could sweat GUIDANCE I would. I love it that much. It is my love that has me all worked up over this watered down, faded dupe that ends up 100% powdery as a $25 GUIDANCE dupe (NOW WOMAN). I must admit, this is not a skin scent, but it is a lot less intense- possibly for those who find GUIDANCE TOO INTENSE- and the powdery dry down better for a humid day. The bottle is hard to keep clean and the glass feels thin so much that I am really going to try to not let this fall down/ over. It’s a 90 degree spring day & I am able to surrender its relevance for the upcoming season. I’m going to be understanding for this niche priced dupe and not see it as a money grab, but that Cristian Calabrò MUST LOVE GUIDANCE AS MUCH AS I DO to create this because imitation is the highest form of flattery.

DON’T BUY THIS! It is a watered down dupe of GUIDANCE. To be fair, I just opened this from delivery and it does need time to rest. This will only explain how I am smelling the ink accord that is meant to give the rose depth before the rose , the separation of alcohol from the main scent & the chalkiness of the scent experience. Allowing PURE DIAMOND to rest should improve the scent experience. Yet, the meat & bones is a watery, faded GUIDANCE 46 ( bc it is oily). If you enjoy GUIDANCE/ G46 this is disappointing: this is slightly creamy & it sits close to the skin. I will update my review after PURE DIAMOND has a chance to rest & I wear it a couple of times.

I keep trying to like this fragrance. I have wear tested it three times now and all I can really smell is a strange cinnamon note. Does anyone smell the other notes? I’m going to keep trying because I really want this bottle in my collection. I sprayed it in my hair this evening to see if I can train my nose to pick up the other notes.

This is a spicy and dewy fresh rose. Not like Guidance at all which is my signature, but a nice change for spring. A tad bit green and with a touch of incense. I find this to be pleasant and a true like. Has a lotion like quality which is clean, hence the purity of diamonds.

Guidance without the BO note and a stronger pear opening. Definitely like this better than Guidance and 46

The incense note is quite intimidating but I just want it for the bottle 😍

A copycat of Amouge Guidance! Nothing really original. So disappointed!!
