Up To The Moon

I don't understand why this fragrance doesn't have a higher score... Maybe it's because the pretty egg got along very well with my skin chemistry, I don't know, but to me smells really nice and even elegant. Perhaps the 3.79 rating is because The House of Oud has built a reputation of making the most beautiful bottles with mediocre perfumes at a very steep price. But to me... this is not the case... You can find this on Fragrancenet at 171 USD, so... not the most pricey perfume out there, specially with a work-of-art bottle (which is one of the most beautiful from the brand, btw). But as of now there are only 5 bottles left, so. I'm glad I bought it. I got a free sample from Maison Peony and fell in love with it. The opening notes are the most delightful to me, delicious rose paired with raspberry, pear & grapefruit with musk. A mix between Jimmy Choo - I Want Choo and Angel Nova, but softer and with a touch of elegance the other two lack. 15 minutes after the opening the fragrance gets too close to your skin, but you get whiffs of it that smell quite delightful like woody raspberry/pear/grapefruit rose with elegant musk. Not cloying on my skin at all, it does not smell like gummy bears on my skin, but on paper it kinda does, so... don't blind buy this. This lasts 4-5 hours on my skin, and after 4 hours the oud shows up, even if it's not listed and the aroma becomes more elegante but also not as nice as before, it's not the best oud out there tbh, a bit dirty. Luckily, it's so close to my skin that it doesn't bother me, it's a skin scent by now. I strongly recommend trying this on your skin before buying, it seems this baby likes to have fun and jokes around with skin chemistries, so to avoid getting PUNKED, try it first.

Another great offering with a prominent raspberry note! I am not a huge pear fan, but this one is subtle. I really like it a lot, surprisingly, and find myself reaching for it. I don't understand why it doesn't have a higher rating.

Up to the Moon is a pleasant, if underwhelming offering from THoO. I have been very taken with What About Pop and Blessing Silence so far, but despite their beautiful bottles, THoO is a mixed bag as a brand. Everything is likeable, but some of these compositions are not worthy of the exceptional bottles or steep price point. UTTM is a run-of-the-mill floral fruity with a sweet amber-vanilla base. To be fair, it isn't cheap and nasty, but there is nothing exciting going on here, and it is feels interchangeable with the myriad mass-market sweet scents that are trendy these days. UTTM opens with sweet, juicy pear, followed closely by white florals, namely sweet jasmine and magnolia. Neroli becomes dominant, but smells disappointingly generic - sweet and synthetic, resembling scents like YSL Libre or Prada's disappointing new offering, Paradoxe. There are no blossom-like/sun-drenched/green-tinged nuances here, instead it is one-dimensional. The raspberry complements the sweet florals after a little while. As it dries down, vanilla adds sweetness and there is a slight amber effect. I get some woody nuances as it progresses. It becomes a sweet, musky skin scent with a hint of neroli and vanilla before fading completely. Sillage and longevity are moderate. UTTM is a reasonably decent but painfully generic sweet feminine scent that seems tailor-made to fit current trends. Overpriced for what it is. @silviaci below is right - this fragrance certainly doesn't bring me up to the moon. Meh. 2.5/5.

First blast of candied white florals, predominantly magnolia and jasmine. These are immediately followed by fruit, pear and raspberry after a minute. It is a pleasant fruity floral, definitely not ground breaking in the slightest but still charming and fresh, sweet but not toothache-inducing. A little too pricey for a dumb reach floral and it would be easy to confuse this with a lot of other mass-audience fruity white florals out there. Feminine and best for spring. 6+ hours later: Had about 4 hours with this one, a touch longer than usual from this house. The scent ended on a faint sandalwood note.

most fruit scents go sour on my skin. This one works on me. Found it for a good discount not sure I would buy it full price.

a perfumey, tart and sweet fruity floral. a girly scent which won't be out of place labeled as a celebrity brand but for me it doesn't worth this price tag. what are the fruity notes? I donno. I can feel traces of all listed ones. berries and pear and a touch of something lemony. they're not true to life fruits, they're more like the fruits in a shower gel or body mist. what is the strongest floral note? magnolia I guess. it's not unpleasant but nothing to be excited about.to be honest as a floral fruity with dominant magnolia-pear, I personally prefer Britney Spears Curious. این عطر بنظر من تو بهترین حالت متوسطه. یه عطر میوه ای گلی دخترونه معمولی یا یکم شیرینی و یکم ترشی. پر از میوه های نه چندان نچرال. بوی بدی نداره، خوشبوئه اما بنظر من ارزش قیمتش رو نداره. بعنوان یه عطر گلی میوه ای با رایحه غالب مگنولیا و گلابی من بریتنی اسپیرز کیوریوس رو ترجیح میدم

I came into possession of a decant of this as I wanted to explore the house and it’s not the easiest to find up north! This fragrance is pretty and very wearable but it isn’t memorable. There’s nothing in the scent that makes me want to splurge as it’s a rather expensive - if very pretty - bottle. I have either fragrances in my collection that perform better and or smell similar so while I’m happy I got to try this fragrance it’s not one I’ll be upgrading to a full bottle.

This perfume has almost no fruitiness or sweetness on my skin. I feel like I only get the floral notes and the grapefruit for this. It's not unpleasant... just really boring. It smell like perfume, that's all I can really say about it honestly. I was so disappointed because I was really hoping to love this. I might not give up on it just yet in case it has more to offer but I'm very close to giving up on The House of Oud all together.

I’m not going to lie at first spray this is gross. There’s a nice scent overpowered by a musty BO like smell. This isn’t something you could spray in the car then just get out. It has for 15 minutes then it smells better maybe even pleasant. In about an hour it is a very nice sweet fruity scent but that initial spray is just too much. For that reason I don’t see myself reaching for this often and definitely won’t repurchase.

Bought a tester to try. For me, they resemble Fruits of the Musk by Montale- the same raspberry artificial smell. I can actually only distinctively smell raspberry here. Very cold fruity fragrance, not as artificial as Montale thou. Not a fan of those, smells like a fuzzy drink- there are many of similar compositions for a way cheaper price.

To me, Up to the Moon smells better in the air than when I smell it directly on my skin. Very fruity, long lasting, and good sillage. Right now it's 9 h after I applied it, and I keep getting perfume wafts from time to time, and it smells amazing (in the air). Unisex but leans feminine. Expensive.

It really does smell like gummi bears lol. Nice, but too synthetic for my taste though so..pass.

So many people are influenced by what others think. I get it: What about pop and Dates delight have been the hyped fragrances. but I'm really loving the show of spring/supper scents from THOO. I love Sacred Groove. Soft, rounded in the hear but with a sharp green/mandarin and angelica opening. I find it refreshing while at the same time comforting. UTTM was a stretch for me with the raspberry. I generally am not a fan, but the combination of the iris and sandalwood win me over here. There is touch of oud in the dry down-- it's a cold, fresher oud and I love how it behaves with the fruits. I suppose some find this girly or childish, for some reason, I don't. I think it's putting on a playful show, but there's a lot more happening under this facade. I disagree that it's linear-- the clean oud reveals itself over time after a quiet leader through the heart of flowers. This is another beautiful and light scent from THOO.

White musk, powdery peach (like in those fruity shampoos) and a the occasional whiff of something resembling bone-dry iris. Not much else for me. Quite a loud fragrance but either a minimalistic scent or a note soup where you can hardly pinpoint anything at all.

This reminds me of more sophisticated version of woman by R. Lauren. Sweet and fresh at the same time. Pretty. Lasts long on my skin, 6hrs. Not sure if it is worth that price. But i do enjoy from a sample

It starts on a fruity note and after several hours white flowers absolutely dominate, so may not work if you are more on fruity / gourmand.

Smells soooo good. So glad I bought a full bottle.
