The dry down envelopes you in sensual vanilla, the golden warmth of amber, and woody vetiver. The dry down reads like a honeyed woody vanilla. The most prominent notes on me are the cinnamon butter, vanilla, caramel, and sandalwood. This is super yummy and gourmand! It’s rich, decadent, and delightfully delicious! It has the most wonderful bakery-like notes! It’s like floating on the most delicious fluffy cloud past the best bakery in town. It’s really well done though, well balanced and well blended. It’s one of the decadent gourmands that doesn’t come off as juvenile. It’s actually quite sophisticated. The woody accords keep the decadent gourmand notes from being too sweet, overdone, or cloying. It’s this perfect balance between sweet and rich gourmand, and cozy woody notes. I particularly enjoy the cinnamon and butter notes with the vanilla and caramel. I also love how I get a honey scent particularly during the dry down. At the moment, I only have a sample of this, but I love it so much that I’ll be adding a bottle of this to my collection! I find this to be very unique! I can’t say that I’ve ever smelled anything quite like this before, and I’m a huge gourmand fan! I only see a slight similarity to some of the fragrances in the “reminds me” section, as this is more decadent, and has the delicious cinnamon butter accord. I get a slight reminiscence to VS Bare Sueded Vanilla, Nest Vanilla Bourbon, Phlur Vanilla Skin, and Replica Afternoon Delight To me this feels feminine, and suitable for women of any age. I think this works best during the fall and winter because of its sweet decadence and coziness. Think it’s most fitting for casual occasions and date nights, but can also be worn to work/school. I get great performance with Dream. The longevity is strong as it lasts throughout the entire day on my skin. The projection is moderate to strong as it radiates out at least a few feet from me. The Maker has been on a roll. With the smoky fig scent Lover and now Dream, they have successfully built on their strong core of perfumes, initially anchored by Stag, Paradiso and Fire. Dream is a very versatile, gender inclusive, woody vanilla scent that is edible smelling without being basic. It’s a gourmand that holds back on the trendy overly sweet style that many gourmands call home and develops beautifully on skin with florals, amber and buttery touches that add depth. Dream is a warm vanilla fragrance that anyone can wear with ease. It’s not an overly resinous, spicy fragrance like many vanillas at the moment, but there are touches of Amber that greats the nose more prominently in the dry down. It has a rich milky, ice cream like texture that would work well on a date. On my skin it really pushes off skin strongly for the first 2-3 hours then levels out for another hour before getting closer to the skin for the remaining hours on skin. It has a 5.5 -7 hour lifespan on my skin, depending on where I spray it, before becoming a whisper of a skin scent. That’s perfectly suitable for most situations you would need it for. If you are looking for an easy to wear vanilla that is tasteful, not overbearing or cloying and can be a cold weather or night out staple, I’d highly consider Dream. It’s not going to break the bank and punches way above its price point. There are lesser vanilla options in the niche world that are far more pricey. With Stag, Paradiso, Lover and now Dream, The Maker will be gaining more attention with their impressive selection of perfumes. For now, they are a “if u know, u know”, kind of situation, but I believe they deserve a lot more attention for offering thoughtful, well priced, wearable scents that fit various use cases with ease.

Dearest Dream-ers, Tonight felt like slipping into a private reverie. I finally spent time with a fragrance that has floated straight to the top of my personal favourites: Dream.....💭✨ There’s something enchanting about the way it balances feminine softness with a beautifully gender‐neutral ease. It feels like a scent meant for anyone who wants to be held, not categorised. What lingered with me most was its astonishing longevity. Hours later, I was still wrapped in that warm, buttery cinnamon glow, comforting, never cloying, never tipping into powder. A true gourmand like a freshly baked cinnamon doughnut, yet one that refuses to fall into the syrupy, youthful sweetness so many modern releases lean on. Instead, Dream feels composed, confident and quietly indulgent. And yet... I couldn’t ignore the contrast between the fragrance itself and the packaging it arrives in. The Maker crafts scents of such depth and quality but the bottle doesn’t quite echo the magic inside. It’s a small disappointment, like waking from a beautiful Dream only to realise the room you’re in is a little too plain. Still, imperfections make the experience human. For now, I’ll keep savouring this delicious cloud of cinnamon and warmth, and hope that one day its vessel will rise to meet its brilliance. Until our next dream voyage... Yours always

A gorgeous ode to sandalwood! It opens with strong, sweet cinnamon butter and morphs into a smooth sandalwood once it has dried down! A tiny bit sweet and very smooth and satisfying. I am so happy that this does not turn into pickle juice on me, because many sandalwood-forward scents do. I believe the sweetness of the other notes smooths out the sandalwood here, but it could simply be a different scent component than the ones that go pickled. I am always on the lookout for a good sandalwood because they are a rare favorite for me and I love this one! I have SO MANY perfumes, and a couple that remind me of this one, but when I received a sample with my last Sephora order and wore it for one day, I put in an order for the smaller bottle immediately that same night. It is very comforting to me. It is similar to a couple of Kyse perfumes I own, but it is subtler, a bit less overtly gourmand, especially when dried down, and a bit more refined than those. The butter note is the same and I really love that. It is rare. That was how I justified this whole situation in my head anyway.

This is a perfect scent in my opinion. Gourmand without being grossly sweet, floral notes without it being a basic vanilla floral, and woody/spicy without going to masculine or unisex. It’s so well blended, and I cannot stop wearing it. It has a pretty linear scent on me, however the butter fades a bit throughout wear time. The florals are stronger in the beggining, the spices and caramel come out more in dry down. You can smell every note in here (except maybe the vetiver) but they are all working together well. Really enjoy the powdery woodyness that the sandalwood provides here. Great scent for fall and winter. It makes me picture a young woman in a furry white coat on a winter night, all done up to go to a cozy dim lit bar. The one slightly negative thing I will say is that my bottle, which I ordered online directly from Sephora, is a very bright orange color instead of the light yellow I see in most photos. I know scents oxidize and color will change, but it looks super macerated already and it’s brand new. Don’t love that, but it still smells great.

If Eau Duelle by Diptyque is a rainy vanilla forrest The Dream is the cozy log cabin you find for shelter. Inside the log cabin is a lit fire, and warm buttery cinnamon covered pastries on a wooden table. This is everything I wanted Eau Duelle to be, I’m loving more spicy, darker vanillas, this is divine in cold weather, my skin enhances gourmand notes and when wearing this is feel like the most buttery sweet cinnamon roll covered in caramel sauce and icing sugar sitting fireside in a cozy wood cabin. While leaning feminine I would not mind smelling this on a man honestly. All the notes in this fragrance work in harmony and meld together perfectly, I love the butter notes and powdery cacao through out, with the vetiver and sandlewood keeping it grounded and interesting, the cinnamon adding sweet spice - I do not smell the florals strongly at all. Lasts around 4 hours for me, I do wish it lasted longer only because I adore the scent and want to smell this all the time, very addictive.

First impressions: (on paper sample): Ooo this is the kind of vanilla I like. Not too vanillla but has a powderiness to it. It’s different, not too playdoughy at all to me on paper. Edit 1: Alright I’ve compared this one to my other perfumes, and I’ve gotta say. If you’re looking for straight up cinnamon butter this is not for you. This is an extremely milky sandalwoody vanilla that’s very an elevated smell. So much so that it might read too much elevated for the average vanilla gourmand viewers. This starts off with the cinnamon butter smell which I was in love with, but then it sadly quickly dissipates. If you hate sandalwood and magnolia in the dry down that’s what all you’re gonna get in the dry down. If I’m going to be absolutely nit picky I think that the sandalwood in here reads a little too dusty, almost a sandalwood lotion in here for me. If you love nishane ani you’ll probably love this. NOT THE SAME, just the vibe of its complexity and the warm spicy ness of it.

I grabbed this so quick when I got the early access email lol . I have fire from this brand and the discovery set and the quality was superb ! Especially the fire one . I am a gourmand lover and the notes sounded wonderful. This perfume is super sweet, almost sweeter than sugar, in the same way that mugler angel is sweet, so is this . I don’t detect any cinnamon in here . The floral notes are soft and slightly waxy or powdery . For perfume comparison I suppose this smells somewhat like if mugler ( angel ), by Rosie jane , ( dulce ) and nest ( vanilla bourbon) had a baby , it would slightly resemble this . Personally I love it . I do think it’s overpriced but it’s well blended and warm and so sweet . The powder part comes out in the dry down and it’s similar to nest vanilla bourbon, .the magnolia and orchid keep this scent from being a simple gourmand. It’s a little different than what you’d expect by the notes . I am very happy with mine

I feel like you have to wait a few months after the hype train for a fragrance calms down to start seeing balanced reviews roll in. The marketing and some of the initial reviews had a lot of people thinking Dream was a photorealistc cinnamon butter gourmand and that is not the case. This is a non linear cozy vanilla that take you on a journey with slightly gourmand, woody, soft floral, cashmere, and amber touches. It wears so beautifully on the skin with nice sillage in the first few hours and then it settles down and hangs on the skin creating this enveloping, warm vanilla personal scent bubble. It lives in the same scent family as warm woody vanillas like Vanilla Skin EDP, 7 Virtues Vanilla Woods, and the discontinued Vanille Incensee by Atelier Colognes. It's a rich, sophisticated vanilla experience and I'm so glad I have it in my collection.

I basically purchased this because it's closest " smells like" was bare sueded vanilla Vs and I love that fragrance it's one of my most comforting fragrances to wear especially for bed time let me say they weren't wrong if you love that one you'll love this it's bare sueded with a beautiful cinnamon butter note.Has the same cashmere feel to me like a soft warm blanket. I'm utterly in love with this fragrance.I haven't done a wear test as I just got it but the projection is quite good much better than V.S. it's a bit more complex to my nose but this might just be my new favourite fragrance it's gorgeous it was a blind buy I didn't know what to expect but it's an absolute win.I was scared it would come off spicy from what I saw online but it's just gorgeous.If you like cashmere skin by phlur I think you'd also like this.

This is a breath of fresh air when compared to all these heavy and sickly sweet gourmand vanilla realeases. Dream is a very refined and well blended vanilla that could easily be a signature scent. I'm one who's normally kind of scared of super warm or spicy fragrances, but it has this perfect spicy/earthy/sweet balance that I think is really hard to find. It has a super creamy sandlewood base and I love when the caramel sweetness peaks through in the dry down. I will say, the butter in the opening is quite offputting to me but it fades rapidly. The cinammon makes me think it would be a perfect vanilla for the autumn season. It is truly such a cozy and comforting fragrance while remaining sophisticated and refined.

This is not a gourmand fragrance, it's The Maker's take on gourmand. The coca and cinnamon are very earthy. No chocolate or cinnamon sugar but real, pure, slightly bitter cocoa pod and cinnamon bark. Butter and sandalwood are ultra silky creamy smooth! Magnolia and vanilla orchid help lift and soften this fragrance without being too feminine/floral while the amber, vanilla bourbon, and vetiver base hold so much warm, boozy, comfort! The only sweet note here is the caramel, wading in and out of this intoxicating, cozy dream. This is candle-lit, bedside sweet nothings whispered into the side of your neck. it's incredibly sensual and cihc!

I received a sample of this in Sephoras Valentines Day Special and on first spray I ADORED it. It smells very sweet, buttery and rich on my skin. I love love loooove the initial spray. It’s VERY gourmand . What I’m not 💯 sold on is the dry down. The yummy goodness disappears completely and I am left with the faintest whiff of Magnolia. The longevity is just not there. I wish the top notes lasted longer as it’s just so darn fleeting, and I don’t know if I’d buy a full bottle because of that. Well, that and the price tag. A little too expensive for what it is.

This one took me for a loop. At first sniff I thought it was nothingggggg like I imagined. I was expecting a very gourmand scent and this isn’t the case. I find it veryyyy powdery. I wasn’t too sure how I felt about it so I decided to give it a full try on skin on a chill night home. And then I started to reallllllyyyyy like it. It’s a powdery, sweet, spicy floral. It doesn’t smell like anything I smelled before. I decided to wear it on Christmas because it is a very cozy comforting scent. It last long and my love for it is growing every time I wear it.

This may be my favorite fragrance! I might be insane, but the opening reminds me a little bit of A1 sauce and fresh dinners rolls brought to your table with that cinnamon butter at a steakhouse! It quickly loses that savory hit I pick up and becomes a beautiful not too sweet but quite spicy vanilla. The longevity is great for me and it has not been nauseating in the heat/humidity as a lot of my vanillas tend to be. Not sure what else to say other than I've probably been killing my brain cells huffing this stuff. :')

Yummy cinnamon butter caramel sandalwood. It's cozy but would also be nice for a date or something. A little powdery but more in a clean way, and it's a gourmand for sure but not in a super sweet way, more grown up. I'm wearing ts to bed, Dream is a great name for it. Update Been wearing this for 2 days straight, and to bed, it's amazing. It's like how I feel when I throw on a huge faded black t shirt to go live my life like it just works and I feel so good in it yayyy

I decided to try the travel size version of this fragrance first, and I was so impressed that I quickly ordered a full bottle. It’s absolutely stunning! The scent is warm and cozy, with a delightful hint of sweetness that’s just right. Unlike many vanilla fragrances that can be overly sweet, this one strikes the perfect balance. The notes are harmoniously blended, and I find myself constantly wanting to smell my arm. In my opinion, this scent is simply perfect!

At first I got a travel size as a blind buy. At first wear I thought I would return it, then I layered it with Dama Bianca and changed my mind. The next day I wore it to work on its own, and I’ve been wearing it daily since. I have many vanillas, but nothing quite like this. I thought the cinnamon would be more prominent but I wouldn’t change it. It has a very addictive and layerable smoothness. I’m ordering a FB tonight.

This is a very lovely perfume. It’s gourmand ONLY in the opening for me though. The dry down is a sweet vanilla vetiver. It does last, however it is very strong upon first spray and weakens in the dry down. I admit this is the most expensive perfume in my collection at $175 (waited for Sephora 20% off promo to buy it). I do love it and I anticipate wearing it often.

soft-spiced butter. very smooth. richness without sweetness. love it. with that being said: overpriced and doesn't last long. an hour or two of projection, after 3 hours it's a skin scent. for those where re-applying and cost aren't a factor.

I bought this in search of a new staple vanilla and am so happy this is more than the vanilla gourmand it was advertised as. While it's still definitely vanilla, it has some deeper undertones that come out as it soaks in and wears off.

I really love this one, but was compleatly not expecting to. Its warm and vanillic without being too overpowering. I almost get a honey note with this but idk??? It's warm, syrupy and delicious, would def recommend if you love gormonds

This is a beautiful syrupy decadent vanilla gourmand. A sweet yet airy, less dense distant cousin of Vanilla Powder by Matiere Premiere. Really good. The combination of butter, cinnamon and caramel really smells like honey.

got this as a sample. it’s a bit heavy for me but it would be absolutely perfect on a cold night or a calm night with wind in the fall. smells like cinnamon, vanilla and i actually get some bourbon too. i give it a 7/10

wowww I absolutely love this! it's warm and vanilla and buttery in a way thats not too youthful but not too old lady either. there's a kind of sexiness thats not too overstated that I really like about this!

This is a beautiful scent. Reminds me of the OG Eilish but more waxy, cinnamon and woody. I wore this for a pre-Christmas casual friend get together for drinks and it is perfect for this type of occasion.

This is my everything. To date, my most complimented perfume and the one I never tell anyone about because I am so fiercely protective of it. I LOVE HER. She's my signature scent until the end of time.

I absolutely love this, it’s so warm and cosy with the cinnamon. When I first got it I was only smelling the magnolia note but it’s changed to my nose now. Perfect for fall and winter

This is not a basic vanilla or typical gourmand (and I enjoy those too). This reminds me of something like a Halloween candle with vanilla and I really love it

On my skin it smells identical to Vanilla Skin by Phlur

I find it very interesting that a few call this not gourmand. To me, this is a gourmand fragrance- at the very least, for the first hour. Then it becomes more complex and and dare I say a little 'smoky'? Maybe it's the woodiness that I find 'smoky'. The CARAMEL, the butter, the cinnamon, and definitely the amber and vanilla base, they all smell quite foody to me. This perfume, a facet of it, reminds me of Heavy Cream. I'm gonna guess that it's the caramel, amber, vanilla, and that the butter note in this perfume has the same lactonic component as heavy cream's whipped cream note. Some have also called this not sweet. There are so many different definitions of sweet even when it just comes to fragrances! To me, this is SWEET capital S just like Heavy Cream. A little overbearing, I could see that this would just be an occasional wear for me. I still really like it, it's just my sweet baby. The magnolia and vetiver really help balance out the sweetness for me. The presence of the magnolia, is what makes this wearable for me. Update 3 hours later: the drydown is so delicious. I did some interesting things when first testing this perfume. When I first brought it up to my nose, I was immediately reminded of Heavy Cream. And this very sweet 'vanilla-caramel-coconut' scent profile that people from Hong Kong either hate or kind of like, because there is this posh mall here called K11 Musea that is scented with this creamy yet intrusive vanilla.

A very solid vanilla. I totally get why people love this. It's the right amount of warm, spicy, buttery, and sweet - absolutely perfect for the colder seasons. I feel the projection is a bit weak for the price, but it's nothing super offensive. I wouldn't say this is anything innovative, but if you've been on the hunt for just a good, reliable vanilla, this is a fantastic option. For those who already have Bianco latte and the likes, this may be kind of redundant in your collection, it just depends on how much of a vanilla enthusiast you are what you have room for in your perfume wardrobe. Also the bottle is everything! Feels like a vintage relic from the past that was lost to time and rediscovered again. I don't know that I'll by a FB, but I may buy another travel size depending on how fast I go through this one! Rating: 8/10

The Maker's "Dream" is a sweet and sugary vanilla. In my opinion, it's like if Black Opium Le Parfum were good. It's less sticky, less dusty, and less cloying. The magnolia makes a watery and fresh appearance that breaks up the sweetness. At the time time, it's barely detectable unless my nose is right up against my skin. It also hits hard and fades quick (that or l just become anosmic soon after spraying). I will be wearing this sample until it's empty, but I don't think it's full-bottle material. Buyer beware, also: this juice has COLOR. It's a bright orange-brown. That's how you know it's stacked with vanilla, so that's good - but if you're worried about staining your clothes, don't go for this one!

Sprayed on my skin from a store and adoreddddd it from the first sniff. Then I searched it up for the price and I got a reality hit, not cheap! But I can see why, it’s beautifully blended, so lovely. I spent so long thinking about this perfume, wondering if I should one day buy it or not...but throughout the day I kept on going back to smell it and I started to notice the butter note becoming more and more prominent...I like dairy notes, but at the same time they make me feel nauseous and that’s what I was getting the more I smelled this unfortunately— but also fortunately because it saved me from wanting to buy it haha. If you like butter notes I would totally recommend trying this :)

I've fully enjoyed wearing my 10 mL travel spray of this fragrance all winter, and it's great that I've finished it just in time for warmer weather. It's a nice closing nod to the cold season and colder weather fragrances. It's not something I want a full bottle of, but it is a delicious fragrance. Truly buttery. Butter and cinnamon are what I smell most. I like that the cinnamon adds that little sparkle and lift, preventing this from leaving perfume territory. I don't want to smell like a literal slab of butter. Or like a tub of vanilla body butter. This is yummy, but never too decadent - the vanilla is a woody vanilla, not a food vanilla. Warm and sweet.

If you are looking for something similar to other overly sweet gourmand vanilla fragrances that are popular right now, this might not be it. I enjoy this fragrance but I would say it is definitely more floral than I was expecting, though I would still say it is quite sweet from the vanilla. I was initially worried about whether I would find the butter note off-putting but it is actually well-blended with the rest of the fragrance, though it does become more prominent in the dry down. The cinnamon note to me is also not noticeable at all. Personally. I appreciate that this fragrance brings something unique to the vanilla gourmand trend.

As most have commented, it’s not as gourmand as the notes suggest. Cocoa butter is the strongest note I detect, followed by cinnamon. I love Cocoa Butter. Such a soothing scent. I think this is unisex & doesn’t lean feminine or masculine at all. I tend to prefer unisex scents on men especially as I find purely masculine fragrances are often astringent or overly spicy/ boozy. I would love this on a man, but I tend to prefer very feminine scents on myself. This reminds me of a more masculine & more mature Eilish perfume. They both have a similar cocoa butter dominant scent.

this scent immediately reminds me of incense. of wandering around and finding a bunch of metaphysical shops. the crystals and handmade jewelry. the tarot and leather notebooks. like it just smells like magick to me. soft, a bit sweet, powdery and definitely dreamy. warm and cozy. it's not super strong or harsh. i dont really get any of the floral notes on my skin. but i can smell the cinnamon, cocoa, vanilla and sandalwood. and they make a beautiful mixture. the opening notes are buttery and woody but fades into a soft airy sweetness.

Definitely give this one a good wear test and don’t just spray on paper. The cinnamon, butter and cocoa in the top notes are very prominent in the opening and it can be a little odd at first. However those notes fade very quickly and the vanilla in the drydown is really warm and comforting. It’s definitely more of a vanilla bourbon rather than a super sugary/sweet vanilla. Overall not hugely long lasting but a different sort of vanilla than others out there.

This smells like Celine’s Black Tie perfume a little bit (first impression) but then it goes away after about 30 minutes and smells more of vanilla with buttery cacao, caramel and a little bit of sandalwood notes. I do not smell any cinnamon or rose notes in here. I’m not sure if it’s worth the price but the perfume is beautiful. In my opinion, it’s like Black Tie but in a gourmand way. They are so beautiful both layered together. Lasts about 7-8 hours.

Dream is a little lovely perfume. It's a citrus, vanilla, spicy dream. I couldn't resist. It reminds me a bit of Eau Duelle (EDT and not the perfume). I'm a not super sweet, but lightly sweet. I added Sugar Addict to sweeten it up a bit, but that was just for fun and not really necessary. I'm slowly moving from syrupy gourmands and going toward lightly sweet freshies with hints at of vanilla; so Dream was the perfect gateway perfume to a new world.

So buttery! Lovely creamy waxy vanilla. Cosy cinnamon and dry cocoa and amber. Flitting in and out is the magnolia and vanilla orchid. Very pleasantly balanced. Not too floral. Not any kind of dupe for other fragrances I've tried specifically but the heft of it reminds me of Buttercream haze and the waxiness is very reminiscent of Bianco Latte. So if you like a big bold weighty gourmand then this is that!

Nice spicy scent! Perfect for autumn and winter! The cinnamon is quite forward and it’s mildly sweet. I wouldn’t say it’s linear, quite nuanced actually (on my skin anyway) you get a lot of different faces of the fragrance, the warm cinnamon, slightly woody, sweet almost herbal scent comes through too. Reminds me of a used bookstore in a crispy autumn day while drinking a masala chai!

This is a unique scent for me. The first spray is a bit strong, but not in a bad way. It’s spicy cinnamon butter with a semi-sweet vanilla bourbon, and became softer, creamier, and rather sexy as it dried down and blended with the sandalwood. The longevity is fantastic, as well as the sillage. This is a very nice holiday, winter cozy, and non-cloyingly spicy and creamy fragrance!

I like this ok starts off strong but dies down quickly and becomes a skin scent in 4 hours. For some reason this is very sweet and enjoyable I am not sure I’d buy a big bottle, I enjoyed the. It is a beautiful buttery vanilla. I do like not love, you can get a cheaper vanilla profile.

On me it’s very spicy and sandalwood heavy, not really “edible”. I appreciate that it’s not just another gourmand Similar to Bare Sueded Vanilla by VS for sure, just less creamy and with added cinnamon It’s nice but certainly not for hot weather, I will come back to it around October
